When we arrived there was a stain on the mattress that they are claiming is ours. (We removed it from the bed when we got there and they said because it was removed it was our fault) They also claimed "The house was very dirty" and provided no pictures of what they meant. We cleaned everything, counters, dishes, no mess. They also claimed that there were stains on the mattress pads when all we did was sleep on them. This is a house that will try and scam you out for damages when in fact there are no damages. They provided no pictures to qualify any damage. Great location - Nice house overall.

The property was perfect for my family. Nice quiet neighborhood. Neighbor was very nice and friendly. Nice area behind the property also. Would definitely rent this house again

This was a terrible experience. Nothing in this house worked. Several doors to the exterior did not work, it took 2 days for the rental company to figure out the internet, the front door lock broke, the washer and dryer didn’t work, a window in one of the bathrooms wouldn’t shut, and the list goes on… When I arrived and took my shoes off I was greeted by sand all over the floor. We spent much of our vacation dealing with trying to get these issues addressed. We were never able to get the back door to lock which was obviously a safety concern. I have stayed at dozens of rental properties and have never written a negative review. I am writing this to save other families from staying at this rental. Highly disappointed.

The house was beautiful and just a few short blocks from the beach! Beautiful outdoor decks and a rooftop tech overlooking the neighborhood. Great water pressure in the showers too!

The location was great. 10-15 minute walk to beach and restaurants. The master suite was great. The patio and courtyard was beautiful. A few things needed updating and fixing but overall the house was in good condition.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and it was very comfortable and flexible for both when we had just 2 people and when we had 10. Easy walk to both beach and town and nice quiet neighborhood. House has many great spaces--indoors & outdoors--that suited all of our different needs.

Ladies weekend. Fantastic location within walking distance of everything. Quiet, private home with great layout for a group...excellent flow from living room, kitchen, porch, etc. Home interior is a bit dated and could use some TLC. Duvet/comforters all need replacement, did not feel comfortable laying on top of them.

While The house itself was beautiful, I would not go through vrbo again…There were some issues with the rental communication leading up to the stay and basic amenities not working throughout the stay. There was very little warning that there would be no bed linens, and actually had to uncover that after considerable probing. We also had to a/c in the entire upstairs, and the wifi stopped working the second night, which was difficult as several of our guests were working remotely that weekend.

Walked everyday with 10 and 12 year old. Close walk to restaurants and shops. House had a great master suite upstairs. All other rooms had reasonable accommodations. Beautiful screen porch out back. Big working grill connected to gas line. Overall house was great and would definitely stay here again.

Property was somewhat tired, uncomfortable mattresses downstairs. 3 blocks to beach; maybe 3 NYC blocks! Location great to an awesome playground near the school, which children enjoyed. Parking for 2-3 cars? We were able to squeeze one relatively small car in driveway but no way could a mini van or large SUV fit. An unexplicable false fire alarm at 3AM was unexpected & awakened everybody. A repair to shower head was done in a timely manner. No other repairs needed. Cookware could have been better - more & varied sizes. It was a lot to pay for quality of property! The week was good for family to get together & cousins to reconnect!

Convenient location and easy family destination. Very cold weather did not allow us to enjoy the lovely screened porches and unfortunately the fireplace was not operational. We did not cook, but the kitchen was reasonably well stocked with appliances, though water pressure was low for washing dishes and limited matching place settings (no small plates, no matching bowls) and the vinyl table cloth was very thick and distractingly ugly. I had higher expectations considering the high rates. The WiFi directions were not correct in the welcome book or in the email sent to us.. luckily the teenage children quickly located the router and the password. Overall a convenient house which would be more fun in warmer weather and could use some updating. The very strong sent of febreeze plug-ins also annoying for our family. We unplugged them all for our stay and opened porch door for a few hours to make the house livable. If your party is sensitive to chemical fragrance, suggest selecting another home. If you have young children, the location near the park and foot bridge across the lake is a big plus.

Loved the screen porch and the privacy of the back yard overlooking the park. Also, the front courtyard was a perfect bike parking lot for our group.

We had a wonderful stay at this well-appointed home. When you arrive, you open a gate to enter a tranquil courtyard with a soothing water feature. Our children called it “the castle entrance.” We cooked many meals in the well-equipped kitchen. We especially loved the spacious screened in back porch that overlooks the wooded park and lake. The kids enjoyed the quiet park area that backs up to the house, walking over the bridge, and viewing the turtles and fish. The master bath and attached screened in porch were a perfect retreat! It’s a very peaceful setting. FYI- the window treatments in the first and second floor masters are great at blocking out the early am sun and allow for sleep in time. This house is also convenient to the beach and restaurants.

Location was amazing, between the fishing, park, and short walks to the beach and Dogfishhead, you really could not ask for more!

The property has not been cleaned in a while and had several insects inside the house. The bathrooms and appliances were clearly dated and needs to be upgraded.

I rented the property for a girls getaway weekend. We had 10 in our party and the home had plenty of room. The kitchen was well-equipped and the common areas were spacious and comfortable. I especially loved all the porches and outdoor space! The property backs up to a nice park so it is quiet and peaceful. The location provided easy access to town and the beach. We walked or biked everywhere! I would definitely recommend this property for a group or families. I am not quite sure it would sleep 14 adults comfortably just based on the bed and sofa configurations, but we were fine with 10.

We will definitely rent this house again! Loved the street and the neighborhood. Silver Lake is just behind the house and there is a lovely bridge which crosses it.
