Our group of three loved our stay at Lilac Cottage! It was amazing to have separate spaces as well as plenty of room to come together. The beds & couches were comfortable and the shower pressure was top-notch, and it was very convenient to have a washer/dryer and a full kitchen on-site. We loved being able to walk around Northeast Harbor from the property and have several park entrances a short drive away. There were a couple of areas that we felt might need to be updated (a shower door that didn't close all the way, somewhat poor ventilation in the bathroom), but overall we would highly recommend Lilac to other small groups and are already looking forward to coming back!

We visited Acadia National Park with the family and had a great time but there were a couple of hiccups (one was unrelated to the property).
The GOOD: location is fantastic, cleanliness was above average. The grill and bonfire were great.
The BAD: No AC in the two rooms located in the guest house. When we arrived the keys were not in the lock, somebody had left them inside the house (the lock was open). Beware if there is a storm coming, we lost electricity (it was quickly fixed by the utilities company) but we lost internet for the last 3 days (we work from home so it was a big deal). No soap in the bathrooms.

This is actually two separate building each with their own bathroom and bedroom, with a common deck. It was perfect for two couples and within a few minutes walk of the downtown for groceries , shopping, or breakfast,

We really enjoyed our stay and took advantage of the location to visit several of the local businesses, like Milk and Honey and the cute small town market. It was so nice to have the main house and guest house so that each couple could have their own bed and bath with privacy, but still enjoy the common space and kitchen. It was not a bad drive to Bar Harbor where we ate several meals and could quickly get to many carriage roads, hikes and Thuya Gardens.

We couldn't ask for a better location and accommodation set up (parents in the main house and teenage children in the other part). The house was a two minute walk to the restaurants and shops, and a five minute stroll to the harbor. Plus, there are amazing hiking trails at the end of the street.

Quiet location close to everything we needed in town, Acadia and the island. Very responsive hosts. Would recommend and stay here again.

We loved this beautiful property!!! It was very convenient for us to visit Acadia Park and other local attractions!! Beautifully decorated and was wowed at how well equipped the rental was! It was so very nice there was a lily on our table for Easter! The owners were very responsive to any minor issues or questions we had. Will definitely stay again!!!

The second unattached house has a bunk bed bedroom and a open bedroom with full bath the place was spotless and walking distance to Main Street. The location is closed to Acadia National park

The accommodations at this property fit the four of us quite well. Beds were comfortable, kitchen area had all we needed to prepare some cooked meals, and the living area was nice and open for relaxing. A few things seemed a bit outdated, but it fell into the charm of the area. Also, nothing that made our stay uncomfortable. Erica was responsive and courteous. I would definitely book again.

This was the most perfect home to enjoy all that MDI and Acadia has to offer . We hiked trails right in NorthEast Harbor . The beautiful town and lovely people just keep having us come back . So glad I am able to give back my childhood memories of this beautiful island to my daughter! Thank you for an amazing stay. We will be back next summer !

This was the most perfect home to enjoy all that MDI and Acadia has to offer . We hiked trails right in NorthEast Harbor . The beautiful town and lovely people just keep having us come back . So glad I am able to give back my childhood memories of this beautiful island to my daughter! Thank you for an amazing stay. We will be back next summer !

Although it was off season so most shops and restaurants were not open in NE Harbor, a well stocked market is within walking distance and the cottage was well stocked with all the cooking and grilling supplies we needed. Cottage is conveniently located to all of the Acadia hikes you would ever want!

Wonderful trip to Acadia
We really enjoyed our stay at this property, it is in a quiet town with convenient access to restaurant and grocery, and close access to the Acadia National Park. The property is clean, and well kept.

Ideal Set Up
We were happy on how everything was situated with the property. The owner was very easy to reach and receptive to feedback. We recommended there be a broom and vacuum for the inevitable crumbs and children. The stove was challenging because it was small but don’t cause any dinner delays. Thanks again for having us!

We love Northeast Harbor!!
This home is on a quiet sidestreet in Northeast Harbor- a quick walk to shops/restaurants and also to the marina. Great location for exploring Acadia National Park and all of MDI! Pet friendly 🐶

Great location - adorable cottage
We loved this beach-themed cottage and guest cottage. Location is just around the corner from the main street where there are restaurants and shops, yet it is quietly tucked away at the end of a road. Kitchen is small but has everything you need to cook meals. Short walk away to the beautiful cliffs overlooking the bay. Short drive away to Acadia National Park trails. We hope to stay there again!

Lovely place to stay
This home made a perfect base for us to explore trails and areas that are away from the crowds on MDI. We thoroughly enjoyed the lay-out with a bedroom/bath in the main house and another full bedroom/bath in the guest house. The host was terrific. And it was so nice to be able to walk to breakfast or dinner or shops in the village. Thank you so much!

Lovely Bright House and Accommodating host
We had a wonderful stay in Northeast Harbor and this house is a very short walk to the little town and the nearby marina. The house itself was a great setup for us with lots of sunshine in every room. The host was extremely accommodating of our travel needs with a little one providing a high chair and pack n play for us. Internet worked great and the kitchen was well equipped for our stay.
