My experience with Mazatlán Suites apartment complex was horrible, for starters they do not have any staff at the property at all times therefore if you require any type of assistance you will not receive any help. The building is in a very bad condition there is abandon apartments knocked down walls, the place looks super dirty and it is just not a safe location for a family travel. I strongly recommend that no one stays in this location, we ended having to get another apartment during our vacation because when we arrived to the location we did not make it on time of their check in times because we had transportation issues and we arrived there in the middle of the night. When we arrived we could not get in contact with anyone until the next morning, when I finally got in contact with someone I was told that our apartment was already rented to someone else because they counted us as no show and they offered to give us another standard room with different types of beds, I found this very unfair because the beds were not what I initially booked therefore I requested a refund of my money and they told me that they would not refund me because I did the reservation trough booking. I have not gotten my money back from them and I’m pretty sure I will not receive my money back. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH MAZATLÁN SUITES HOTEL THEY ARE HORRIBLE...

The rooms were super dirty

The Good, it’s located on a beautiful beach. Good restaurants on site with very nice people.

The Bad. It was advertised as a one bedroom, but in actual fact was only one room with a pony wall down the middle, with a bed on each side of the pony wall(wall was only as high as the bed. It had a small kitchenette in one corner but no other living space. The description “one bedroom “ imply a separate bedroom from the kitchen, living area and this was definitely not the case. Also it was advertised to have free wifi high it did not, however the management did get a router and we had wifi on Friday (we checked in on Tuesday). There was no manager on site - manager was located in Durango, 3 hours from Mazatlan. We were booked for 2 weeks, no cleaning was included or clean towels or sheets. The Ugly. It was dirty- we filled the sink with soapy water and wiped down the cupboards and stove. One of the beds did not have a top sheet, luckily we found one in the closet and remade the bed. Very poor water pressure in the bathroom- only one tap turned on at all and then only provided a trickle of water. The hallways and stairs were very poorly lit. There were light fixtures on the stairs going up to our room and outside above our door but neither of them had a light bulb in them so we had to use our phones for lights both on the stairs and to unlock our door. Speaking of locks - the woman who checked us in told us that it was important to use the “security “ lock when we went out, but when we tried to use it it wouldn’t turn, she gave us a separate padlock to use on the iron grill that was on the outside of the door. Booking.com had taken full payment on behalf of the owner but when contacted about the problems, particularly the fact that it was not a one bedroom they simply said that the pictures were accurate, however, there were pictures of other rooms so it wasn’t really clear to me, from pictures but the description said one bedroom apartment so I expected a separate bedroom.
