We loved staying at the Lakehouse! The view was beautiful and it was just a short walk to the lake. It was clean and accommodated our large family perfectly! Wendy was more than kind to provide cookies on our arrival and then dropped off homemade jam and banana bread throughout the week. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house very much. The house is fully stocked and has everything you need. It is overlooking a lake that is within a short walking distance. The owners are very friendly and polite and will answer any questions you have. We were welcomed with freshly baked cookies and were also gifted with a delicious rhubarb jam. We could live here says it all…..well equipped family home with friendly on site [next door ] owners. Invermere is a lovely town..we visited three beaches….also did the Golden Skybridges, Radium and Fairmont Hot Springs, Fort Steele and many forest hikes. Had barbecues and s’mores at the Lake House most evenings enjoying that lovely view. Only downside was the bottom double bunk that my son and his wife used…a double and single bed in that room may have been better. …but all in all a lovely place for a family break…thanks Wendy and Doug….

We had such an amazing stay at The Lake House! The front deck is to "die for". We never turned on the tv as we wanted to be outside on the deck as much as possible. Wendy and Doug (host) are very friendly and helpful. So grateful they opened their home to share with anyone needing some time away. BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you again, Laura-Lee, Mike and family

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The Lake House was very well stocked and was the perfect setup for our family. The view of the lake is breathtaking and the place is spotless! Wendy and Doug were great hosts and answered any of our questions extremely quick! We would highly recommend this place for your stay in Invermere!

The house has everything you need and more. Great access to the beach and surrounding activities. The personal touches made us feel right at home and welcome. Would highly recommend the Lake House to anyone and gladly stay there again.

My family returned to the Lake house this past week after staying there exactly 3 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see that not much has changed with the exception of the beautiful landscaping and exterior finishing. The house was still well-stocked with necessities such as coffee, filters, salt, pepper, soap, extra t-paper, Kleenex, Saran Wrap and even frozen beer mugs ready for happy hour! I was again impressed at how soft Wendy’s towels are. (Gotta find out what she uses!) Wendy and Doug live next door but we never saw or heard them unless we needed something. Tv remote batteries died and with an email, Doug showed up next morning with a 4 pack of AA’s. Wendy welcomed us with a basket of her delicious cookies (and even milk bones for our fur-babies) and later left a surprise jar of yummy rhubarb jam at our door. Luckily we missed the 40 degree heatwave by 2 days so absence of AC was not an issue. I think what sets the lake house apart from the average vacation rental is Wendy and Doug’s attention to the details and customer service. We will definitely be returning!

We stayed at the lake house at the end of June. I was there with my husband 2 year old daughter and my parents. The location of the property is amazing and was PERFECT for us being there with a young family. We were a 5 min walk to the park/beach/splash park and a 10 min walk to the town/shops. It is a quiet street so we would play in the front yard or the back yard got nice a shaded for hot afternoons. The view of the lake was lovely, we had dinner on the front deck every night. The house was SO well stocked, I agree with other reviews that this is probably the best stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in. Wendy and Doug are lovely. They were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We loved our time here and would definitely book again!

We had a fantastic week relaxing at the Lake House. The view out over the Lake from the front deck and front room is beautiful. There is plenty of space inside to hang out together or find your own spot for some alone time. The kitchen has more equipment than you could possibly need, and the BBQ and fireplace out back save you from having to use it all the time too. The beach is a short (less than 10 minute) walk down the hill, and downtown is maybe another 5 or 10 minutes from there. Thanks for having us, we're looking forward to another stay in the future.

Wendy and Doug go far above and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable one. Everything you would need is available. The only challenge we had was that there was no air conditioning in the summer, especially when there was a heat wave. Otherwise, we highly recommend this property to families!

The house is situated at the end of a very quiet cul de sac, with a fantastic view of the lake off the front deck and from the front room. It’s within walking distance to the popular Kinsmen Beach and the beautiful Main Street downtown. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed with the curb side appeal, and the cleanliness of the outside and well cared for garden and deck. Inside the home was spotless and appears more like a well loved, lived in home that is beautifully and tastefully decorated than a typical rental property. The home has everything you could need with the kitchen being the best stocked VRBO property I’ve ever stayed in. I truly appreciated the quantity and quality of all the kitchenware. There are plenty of towels, including beach type towels and many good quality cloths for various uses. I appreciated the little extras where there was salt, pepper, sugar, spices, tea, ziplock bags, wrap, dish soap etc available. A nice touch! Also truly appreciated the beach chairs, sun umbrella and swim noodles. Bedrooms were perfect for our group with lots of drawer and closet space with organizers. We made use of the fantastic front deck every morning and evening and spent many hours just enjoying the view and wildlife. Neighbours were super friendly. Wendy delivered wonderful home baked cookies upon our arrival and on my birthday I came home to a lovely thoughtful gift left on the front porch. My daughter wanted to stay and live there . Wendy and Doug have done this right! They are readily available, friendly, but not intrusive and top notch hosts. Absolutely loved our week. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Place had everything we could possibly thing of and was absolutely great; the fresh baked cookies when we arrived were a really nice touch! We really enjoyed sitting on the front patio, taking in the lake and wildlife - we had deer and wild turkeys walk by daily. Perfect in every way.

There were 4 of us enjoying a week out of city. This was the perfect spot! - The backyard was great for our dogs. - The front patio has an amazing view and was a great way to spend the day reading, lounging in the sun. - This place is located just a 5 minute walk from the beach and a pretty easy walk to "downtown" Invermere. - The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you need to cook good meal. - This location was also great to see the local deer run about, with a doe and fawn hanging around. - Wendy and Doug were great hosts and readily available for any questions or issues (and her Rhubarb jam is very tasty!) Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Wendy the owner thought of everything. I don’t think there was anything missing from this well stocked bungalow. It’s in a perfect location for all the local amenities. Perfect size for our family. Definitely will be back.

Had a great two weeks in the Lake House. It was clean and comfortable, with every need taken care of. The kitchen was incredible, everything you would want to have a party for 25! We loved Wendy's decor with lots of pictures, candles, cushions, and ornaments etc. Spent a lot of time in the sunny front room with the beautiful lake view and deer on the lawn. Our little dog was happy, enjoying walks around Dorothy Lake and a well fenced back yard. Wendy and Doug are very friendly and generous hosts.

Fabulous place to stay & just as depicted. Very clean & comfortable to stay in. The house became our home as it contained everything we needed for our creature comforts. The Kitchen was very well stocked with utensils & spices. Our sleeps in the master bedroom were great. The linen closet was fully stocked and the furniture was new & very comfortable. The outdoor fire place was a great feature and a bonus. Plus we really enjoyed the outdoor deck as we relaxed and watched the lake view change. We really enjoyed our stay & Wendy and Doug were very accommodating hosts. Over all a great place to stay which exceeded our expectations.

This surpassed our expectations. The house is more than adequately equipped, absolutely gorgeous view of the lake. Owners were amazing - left us fresh produce & lovely flowers. We found the property immaculately clean and extremely well equipped - a real home from home. The property is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, ten minutes walk from Invermere High Street with impressive views of the lake. The lake house is also ideal for renters with pets - the back yard is very safe and secure. What made our stay extra special was Wendy and Doug's desire to provide everything you need. From the homemade cookies on arrival, to the home grown vegetables to the loan of kayaks they really did go above and beyond our expectations! Thank you both for all you did - we will be back!

We enjoyed our time at the Lakehouse. It was a very comfortable stay and everyone in our party loved the property! (Grandparents, and kids!) Thank you to Wendy and Douglas for the great week. We'll certainly be back.

Our visit to the Lake House was wonderful - we went to the beach a few times, the Canada Day parade, kayaking, ziplining and more. The house is perfectly situated, within easy walking distance to the beach and to the downtown area. The Station is a great place to get food, and is also easy to walk to. The house itself was clean and pleasant. Wifi worked great - good enough to stream Netflix. Water pressure in the shower was good, and the kitchen is well stocked with necessary utensils, pots, etc. We had a great time, and would love to come back someday!

The Lake House were perfect! Kitchen was fully stocked with more than enough dinnerware, cutlery and appliances. The house is so spacious, we were a family of 4 and had more than enough room. We loved the fenced back-yard for our dog. It is just a short walk away from the Kingsman Beach area. Not to far of a walk to downtown as well. Radium & Fairmont hot springs are a short drive away (about 20 minutes). We wished the weather was warmer, we were looking forward to spend each day at Kingsman Beach. Only swam twice in the lake which was still pretty cold! The hosts were pretty quick to respond to all our questions.

We loved our stay in this very comfortable and well appointed home! Wendy and Doug have done a fantastic job making this home warm and welcoming! They are very gracious hosts and really made us feel welcome once again. Our pup even has his favourite stump to luxuriate on outside. We highly recommend this home to others and look forward to future visits!

We recently enjoyed a week long stay at this lovely property. Located at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac, it provided a good home base for exploring Invermere and the surrounding area. The house was clean, very quiet and well equipped. We made good use of the puzzles and movies provided and enjoyed morning coffees in the sunny front room looking out to the lake. The public beach is a 10 minute walk away where you are able to rent paddle boards and kayaks. The house is also close to the new Westside Legacy Trail bike path running from Invermere towards Fairmont-a beautiful ride! Our dog enjoyed the fenced back yard and the stock of dog treats. The owners were delightful to deal with and responsive to our questions. Thank you again, Wendy and Doug, for your warm hospitality. We would not hesitate to return!

This was one of our best family vacations to date. The house was beautiful and had everything we could ever need. The backyard was fenced and was perfect for our dogs to hang out in while we were home. The patio in the back with the BBQ was a beautiful spot to enjoy and the deck on the front of the house was amazing. The views of the lake were stunning - such an amazing location. A three hour drive from Calgary, our first stay at this property was everything we wanted and more. With a Special Needs child, we needed everything on one floor, so the bungalow fit the bill. It was also a treat to have our family dog with us as the back yard is fenced. This home fits six people very well. We were welcomed by the owner with frosted glasses in the freezer and warm cookies on the counter! The hub of the home (kitchen) has everything you'd have at home and more, to be inside or outside diners. We loved the front deck overlooking Lake Windermere, with the shade umbrella, and in the early morning, welcomed the deer and wild turkeys wandering through and ospreys circling over the lake. This home is lovingly upgraded and decorated with taste so that it is modern, but country at the same time with comfortable seating. Books, movies, games are there, along with information on the Columbia Valley. Clean, clean, with comfy beds and more than enough towels and linens. Big screen TV, WiFi, dishwasher, washer/dryer, bbq and an outside chimney fire for s'mores. The Kinsmens Beach is a great place for families and is a several minutes walk down . In fact, except for grocery shopping, our vehicles were parked the whole week. Invermere Town is also a short walk away, and has an eclectic collection of shops, restaurants and businesses. The main pharmacy has a great gift section. Two of us sampled 'Allium' which is the restaurant/bar overlooking the Kinsmen Beach. What a beautiful spot. We were three generations at the Lake House, and it suited us all. Thank you Wendy and Doug. We will be back!

This vacation house was absolutely perfect for our family! Very clean. 10 minute walk to downtown or to Kinsmen Beach. So convenient to run back to the house for beach toys which Doug was gracious enough to provide. Wendy surprised us with home-made cookies which were Yummy! Very quiet neighborhood. Doug and Wendy were fantastic hosts! Very respectful yet very responsive when we needed something (Doug provided an umbrella within minutes of our request and Wendy went downtown and bought a teapot). House is very spacious and has a lovely sunroom with a nice view of the lake. We loved this room for doing a puzzle on a couple of rainy days! The back yard is fenced and perfect for our dog to come in or out as he wanted. The house was the most well-stocked vacation rental I've ever seen, with everything from body lotion and band-aids to Ziploc bags. Good value for the rental cost. Will definitely be booking there again! Thanks to Doug and Wendy for sharing your fabulous house with us!

We had a great stay, lots of room for the family. Lots of dishes etc. Great view, quiet cul-de-sac good parking out front, we had a trailer with toys inside and it was nice to park in front of the house. Our only complaint was that in the cold weather we didn't get to use the deck or huge backyard. Location was excellent, close to the lake where we enjoyed ice skating, and other activities. Thanks again.

The Lake house has great holiday virtues. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains is awesome. The location is quiet in the evenings and the house is cool during the day even in 30deg. Spacious, nice amenities and a good selection of movies makes an ideal spot to lose the blues. The deer provided early morning fun watching the dog watching them eat apples from the trees in the yard. We will return
