We had an excellent stay at this property, and we would certainly stay again. Patty was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. The apartment is nicely appointed and works very well for two adults. It is on the third floor of a quiet building with an inner courtyard, with laundry facilities. The building itself is just across the street from the Mayor's office, and within a minute's walk to a Rey's, a grocery store. We really liked the location, with many restaurant options available as well as good walkability to parks and markets. We also took a great all day tour with Rudy, who was an excellent tour guide. Overall, a wonderful experience!

We have nothing but praise for the job Patty and Rudy have done. From the time we checked in until the time we left our hosts were spot on. They met us upon arrival and departure. The condo was spotless, well stocked and very comfortable. The bed was super comfy. The immediate neighborhood has great restaurants. Mahalo was our personal favorite but there are many other options within walking distance. We highly recommend this rental for your visit to Casco Viejo. Great job Patty and Rudy. This amazing property offers everything- great location, super comfortable accommodation and an unprecedented level of comforts. A fully stocked kitchen with everything you can imagine, umbrellas if it rains and full range of toiletries if you’ve forgotten something. The website photos are 100% accurate. Over all a truly delightful experience.

We cannot say enough about Patty and Rudy's studio suite. It was well furnished and came with everything needed to make our stay very comfortable. All appliances were modern and worked well. The location is perfect for site seeing, shopping, and restaurants. We felt very safe the entire time we were there. Patty and Rudy are super fine folks and very knowledgeable about this area and all of Panama. We highly recommend Ruby's tours. He can provide much more information about the area and personalize your experience. Patty ensured our stay was comfortable. This property was in the perfect area for waking around and exploring. Is exactly as the photos show. The hosts are great and very responsive. Be sure to book a tour with Rudy. It was a highlight of our time in all of Panama! Very knowledgeable and super nice guy! 5 stars all the way around!

The property was conveniently located. Within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, stores and churches. The condo was very clean with upscale amenities. Patty’s Casitas is your best choice if you are planning to visit Panama. I stayed in the studio condo in the Casco Viejo from 22nd of September to the 24th, spent four days in Boquete and then returned to el studio from 28th until 1st October. I do have a lot of memories in El Casco Viejo, I am from here. I moved to this area in 1968, attended Simon Bolivar elementary school from 1971 until 1978, first communion in La Catedral in 1975, confirmation in La Merced in 1987 and wedding in La Merced in 2004. I am now an US Army servicemember retiree (after 26 years) and travel to Panama every six months to visit my mother who still lives in El Casco Viejo. Patty and Rudy are the people you want to talk if you are planning a trip to Panama and El Casco Viejo. They are great host and people that would do the ultimate to make your stay in Panama a nice memory. The studio room is so comfortable, clean and quiet that will make you believe you are by yourself in this building. El Casco Viejo is loud per nature because of all the new remodeling, restaurants, cars and people but the studio room is located in the back of the building and you will not hear anything. Rudy and Patty accommodated me between their busy schedule to ensure that I had no concerns with the room or my stay in my country. From the studio, I walked all over El Casco Viejo with my mother and it is amazing how it has changed from a quiet place back in the days to one of most visited places in Panama. Fantastic place to stay in Panama City! Best possible location and beautiful apartment. The apartment was absolutely perfect and the hosts Patty and Rudy were so lovely and helpful. We did a tour with Rudy and it was definitely a highlight of our trip - he is so passionate and knowledgeable. And also the nicest guy! You can walk absolutely everywhere from the location of this apartment and there are a few little grocery stores within a 2 minute walk. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Panama City!

The studio is just the perfect location to stay in Casco Viejo. It is centrally located but in a very quiet neighbourhood. You can easily walk around the old city of Panama and find nice restaurants and bars just next door. The studio is very well equipped, maintained and nicely decorated. If you feel like cooking your own meals you can do so in the kitchen. I felt like being home and part of Casco Viejo. Patty and Rudy are fantastic hosts who take special care of all requirements you may have.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in March 2017. The location is perfect for several reasons. It is in Casco Viejo which is the old part of Panama, currently being restored, and full of wonderful buildings, museums and restaurants - and this is all within walking distance. But it is also near the edge of Casco Viejo so when you take a taxi to some other part of town the driver does not have to come too far into the neighbourhood where the traffic is very slow so you save time and money. It is also within walking distance of a busy and interesting non-touristy neighbourhood and market where we had lunch one day. Sadly we only discovered this on our last day after Rudy showed it to us on our way back from one of his tours (very enjoyable). The apartment consists of one large room with a small kitchen and a bathroom - all very clean and beautifully decorated. The building is very old and has been thoroughly renovated - a real treat to stay in. There is a large grocery store only a block away. Patty and Rudy are very kind and gracious hosts. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to all our friends. I should add that there are stairs (a couple of flights) to get to this apartment which could be a problem for some.

We just got back from staying in Patty and Rudy's loft apartment in Casco Viejo. Everything was perfect from a car awaiting us as we got off our flight to a car bringing us back to the airport at 4:30 a.m. We stayed for 6 nights. Patty met us at the apartment to go over everything. The apartment has wonderful decor, high ceilings with crown molding, a kitchen with everything you need and a lot of light. It is a 1 minute walk to the grocery store and close to many wonderful restaurants. It is a very safe area to be in.Free wifi, which is a must for us! There are many small town plazas and much to see in the area. We had the best tour with Rudy where we went on a boat on Gatun Lake to see monkeys and toucans. After that trip we drove to another location where we went to meet the Emberra Tribe, have lunch, dance and have a wonderful day. We would highly recommend this trip as it was a highlight for us. The chief ( who is only 32, drove the boat! ). The canal museum in town was also a must! If you need an apartment for more than 2 people, they have another apartment in the same building with 2 bedrooms. We will have to come back with friends!

The apartment is better than described and the location is central to many restaurants and shops. Patty and Rudy are fantastic hosts and very responsive during your stay. We stayed for 10 days and didn't have any worries. The apartment has everything you need and probably some of items you may have left at home. Patty and Rudy anticipated traveler's needs and ensure you have a wonder time. We can't wait to go back and stay at one of their properties. We also took advantage of Rudy's Tours and it was phenomenal. Personal service is their specialty. Book your stay with them and you won't regret it.

My husband and I stayed in this studio apartment for a week in August 2016. The perfect location for a stay in the stunning old city of Panama. Set in a beautiful old (fully renovated) building in the centre of Casco Viejo you will find the apartment has everything that you will need. Attention to detail is exquisite. The kitchen is fully equipped that would impress every level of cook. The apartment is safe and quiet and has a laundry, very important for travellers. It is walking distance to restaurants, bars and cafes. If you want to eat at home, well stocked supermarkets. Rudy is an excellent tour guide and can advise you an a variety of activities. We went with Rudy and did the India Dormida hike. A fantastic day out, amazing views at the top. Also Rudy arranged for us to take the train to Colon, picked us up in Colon and had a guided tour round the picturesque Portobello. Another amazing day out. Rudy is an excellent guide, speaking fluent English as well as other European languages. We would stay here again and recommend the accommodation highly. Negatives, we did not have enough time in Panama to enjoy the excellent hospitality.

My wife and I enjoyed this studio apartment very much. Patty and Rudy have done a great job with quality furnishings and finishings - we were impressed with their attention to detail. We took a day tour of Panama City and the Canal with Rudy. He was polite, knowledgeable and personable. It was a great way to get a feel of the city. Patty and Rudy were positive, friendly and dedicated to ensuring our stay met our expectations. We highly recommend this unit as a base for exploring Casco Viejo.

I stayed in both the studio and loft during a recent trip to Panama. The loft in my opinion was significantly better not only for the size but also the view, the comfort of the bed, and lack of light blaring in your eyes throughout the night. The location of their building could not be better as its located right in the heart of Casco Viejo on a quiet little street. I had to knock a star for a few things. 1) Be aware that you cannot bring anyone into the condo building that is not on the contract. I was not aware of this and I received a text from the tenant almost immediately reprimanding me for it. Fair enough however I did not like the accusatory nature of the text saying I brought "female company" to the condo as if I was doing something shady. You could have simply said "unregistered guest" instead of "female company." 2) The stairwell lights are very bright and when you're trying to sleep it's very bothersome. The light comes in from a window above the main door where there's nothing covering it. 3) The bed in the studio is like a mushy and lumpy piece of foam. Hot and uncomfortable. I woke up both mornings with back pain. 4) You get one bath towel and apparently you're supposed to use that over and over. I would think providing a second bath towel would not be too much to ask for.

My wife and I were down in Panama recently and came across Patty's Casitas and Rudy's tours and we are so glad we did!!! We couldn't decide whether to stay in Casco Viejo and reacquaint ourselves with the Old City or stay along the Amador and enjoy the ships entering and exiting the Panama Canal. So Patty allowed us to do both and what a great experience it was! Walking through the City Antigua or riding the available bicycles along the Causeway and with totally different restaurants and shops at both made us feel like it was two vacations in one! And Rudy's tours opened our eyes to so many things we would have missed. They became fast friends of ours and are welcome at our Casita in Washington State anytime!!! Thanks again my friends!!

We had a most fabulous stay.The apartment was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, very clean and feels larger than it actually is.It was nice to stay in a secured building.Rudy and Patty are THE best hosts. They are very friendly and always there to help with anything. Rudy gave us a very nice tour that was personable and you didn't feel like you were in a cattle car tour bus! It was so nice to learn about the area through him, plus he speaks fluent English! We felt so lucky to have found their place and meet such a genuine couple. You will not regret staying here!

I can't say enough good things about this place! The location was fabulous - so interesting, and safe, and quiet, in easy walking distance to all of Casco Viejo. The apartment is well appointed, and feels large and airy - the pictures are accurate. Patty was responsive, helpful and friendly at every turn. We took three of Rudys tours - Monkey Island, railroad/locks, and Indian village. He was a big part of our Positive Panama experience, so knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended!

Loved our stay at Casco Viejo. Everything was perfect, from the condo to the communications between Patty and us. We enjoyed walking the streets and not having to grab a cab or rent a car. Everything you need is within walking distance. The restaurants are outstanding. We felt safe and things were very quiet. There are other places in Casco that are noisy - Patty's Casita is on one of the quieter streets. We also took advantage of one of Rudy's tours to a native village. Rudy is full of knowledge about Panama and the day we spent with him was wonderful - we learned so much about Panama.

Could not have picked at greater location for a quick visit to Panama to celebrate an anniversary and birthday. Location was excellent with plenty or restaurants and bars in walking distance. Supermarket just a few minutes away, and transportation was always close at hand. Patty and Rudy were great hosts who provided assistance throughout the process and supplying information throughout the process so that we could relax and enjoy our getaway. Rudy's tours are well worth looking into. We did the Monkey Island tour and had a wonderful time. Rudy is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things. He was handy with recommendations and maps. We also took advantage of their services for pickup and return to the airport which made everything run very smoothly. We highly recommend dealing with both Patty and Rudy, and their apartment is top notch. A great place to stay. Many thanks for a wonderful stay Patty and Rudy. Hopefully we will be back.

Patty and Rudy were very friendly and very helpful, throughout the entire booking process and stay. They arranged for our shuttle from and to the airport, and they made excellent recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The studio is in a great neighborhood (very walkable), is beautifully decorated, and is very clean. 5 stars for Patty and Rudy, for their studio, and for the neighborhood.

Patty's Casita was so comfortable, the decor tasteful and original to Panama, the bed very restful, and above all - very clean! We lived in the studio which offered a fully stocked kitchen, wood floors, a nice seating area, and original era features of the building. Located right in the middle of all the action, Casco Viejo offered plenty of historic sights and a well established night life with good restaurants and many outdoor seating opportunities allowing a great view of the panoramic Panama City skyline. We appreciated the personal welcome you provided giving an opportunity to ask questions and obtain helpful tips and really liked the follow-up and wishing us farewell upon our departure. We took advantage of partaking in the "Boatride" tour which takes place at Gatun Lake which is conducted by Rudy. We loved it! He offered lots of facts of the local history, environment, and animal life. Although you have to get up early, it is well worth it because you will be the first one there and get to see the wildlife you may not see later on. Thank you soo much! We spent 6 nights at the casita and had such an amazing time. The room is beautiful and well cared for and it was so nice to have a kitchen so we could eat meals at home if we wanted to. We loved being in right in the middle of Casco Viejo and it was so easy to catch a cab when we wanted to go anywhere else. The casita is very close to the pedestrian walkway along the bay front and it was one of our favorite night-time activities. We also went on a tour with Rudy and he was a fantastic guide. Both Patty and Rudy were so easy to work with! It would be helpful to have a little better payment process, but it all worked out fantastically. Patty, Rudy, and this casita come highly recommended.
