Das Haus ist ein schmales Altstadthaus mit steilen Treppen und nicht durchweg viel Platz, hat aber viel Charme und liegt zentral, in fußläufiger Entfernung zum Stadtzentrum - wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt.

Die Unterkunft ist ein kleines, schmales, steiles Altstadt-Haus auf der Insel zwischen Maas und Ourthe, in fußläufiger Entfernung zu den Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten und Geschäftsstraßen im Zentrum. Die Lage ist ein bisschen speziell - ringsum sind viele Kneipen und Restaurants, und am Wochenende kann es bis spät in die Nacht laut sein. Das hat uns aber nicht gestört, im Gegenteil, wir fanden das ganz charmant. Wenige Schritte entfernt gibt es zwei Supermärkte sowie kleinteiligen Einzelhandel für den täglichen Bedarf (Fleischer, Bäcker etc.). Lüttich ist keineswegs von Touristen überrannt, lohnt aber sehr einen Besuch - eine räumlich wie baulich schöne Stadt mit sehr freundlichen Bewohnern.

Parkplätze gibt es gleich um die Ecke reichlich, allerdings ist die Höchstparkdauer auf 3 Stunden beschränkt, man muss also ein paar Mal am Tag umparken und einen neuen Parkschein lösen, was für die Organisation der Stadtbesichtigung zu berücksichtigen ist.

Good value for money

Cleanliness - some areas weren't very clean and some cutlery were dirty

The place is very charming with its exposed brick and beam interior and is in the heart of the old town. It was also very good value for our money.

Watch out for the low door-frames and exposed wooden beams! Many folks in our group wound up bumping their heads during the stay. The dishwasher and washing machine didn't work, but our very nice host sent a technician to fix the washing machine. The hand rails are a bit on the dangerous side and in need of repair. Also, the apartment is has an exceeding amount of stairs, that may be difficult for some travellers.

The property is quirky and a nice old building, a style I liked very much. It was very comfortable for my needs and quite conveniently located for the river and the centre of town.

The stairs are very steep, which is typical of an old building like this. This was not a problem for me, but may be a concern for someone less mobile. There are some late-night bars nearby which caused a little noise nuisance on our last night (a Thursday night).

Easy key Access, just a call and you get the Code for the key lock. Some walking minutes away from the Center, but a cool cachaca bar and good restaurants just around the corner. Interessting cut of the Apartment.

The mattress could have been better. Small kitchen made it hard to cook, but it was sufficient for breakfast. A towel for drying the dishes would have been nice.
