I’ve stayed at many different rentals. This one by far was one of the nicest. It was beautifully decorated and accommodated our family of eleven very well. The view of the lake was spectacular. The amenities provided by the owner we’re better than expected. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Happy Owl Lakehouse.

The property was as advertised. The pictures don't do the view justice. The pictures make the view look good but it's even better in person. We had eleven people in the house comfortably and used the kayak, floats and floating mat to hang out at the lake. The location is convenient to hiking the guadalupe river trail and going to concerts at the Whitewater Ampitheatre. We will likely be back in the future.

I have never in my life walked in a house and thought I wouldn’t change a thing about this, that was my thought when I walked in this one! I LOVED the decor down to every little detail. And the house has SO much bright natural sunlight it’s Beatiful. And can’t say enough about the Beatiful view of the lake and sky! Also the kitchen had so much stuff available from every cooking pot you would ever need to ziplock bags and spices, it was super helpful!

This place was even better in person. They also have everything you need. They even had to go coffee cups. It’s insane how well stocked the place was. I will definitely be back.

Loved our stay in this gorgeous home!!! The space was well thought out and loved the lake access. So wonderful to have the hot tub right there too. The sunsets are spectacular. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here again. The property is located right above the water which gives access to a backyard water playground. Really had a great time.

The home was beautiful and perfectly positioned on the lake for easy access. Our only complaint would be that the cleaning lady was not finished in time for us to arrive at 4pm. Everything else was wonderful. Once suggestion would be to have locks on the bedroom doors, not just the bathroom doors.

Wow! A group of 10 friends and family enjoyed a long weekend at this gem of a property. The house was immaculate and offered everything we needed to take advantage of all that the property offered. It was tastefully appointed with decor and furnishings that perfectly complemented the spacious layout. Great communication with property manager and check-in/check-out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

Modern, clean and great location in a private cove on Canyon Lake. We very much enjoyed floating in the lake and enjoying the cool water!

This home is more beautiful in person than what you see in the photos! The attention to detail from the plush grass in the front yard, to the opening gate to the jacuzzi that leads straight to the bedroom, we enjoyed every bit of it! It made for a memorable experience and surpassed every expectation we had to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. We just absolutely love this home and all it had to offer! We hope to be back soon!

Great house and location on the lake. Well stocked and equipped for renters. My wife and I went with our 3 children (ages 14, 2, & infant) for an extended weekend trip. We had a great time. Views are amazing. The outdoor areas are what made this place. Lots of outdoor relaxing areas with picture perfect views. Saw lots of wildlife. Driving through the neighborhood before we arrived to the house we were thinking to ourselves what did we do; but when we arrived at the house we felt instant relieved from those doubts. The surrounding area is mostly older houses and camp-like sites. But, that doesn't take away from the property at all. I'd recommend a baby gate if you have small children for the interior staircase. We couldn't find at local stores so we managed without. Only recommendation I'd make.

Had many positives: Well appointed kitchen and baths (even a great cruise ship type soap/conditioner/body wash in master shower) , super view, great porches (with comfortable astro-turf runner), convenient hot-tub and grill, safety fencing around front and back, good wi-fi, great TVs, and good lighting.There are also some negatives: Needs a few more comfortable(padded) chairs (few less benches); the fancy microwave was underpowered; needs more towel racks in baths (and better located); bed pillows were not very comfortable. Also, if you have small children, consider bringing safety gates for the stairs, which are very high and steep and wooden.All in all, a very nice, albeit pricey, place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Exactly as advertised! Looked like new stepping stones had been added to the path down to the lake which make it much easier to get down to the shore. The teens enjoyed doing a little kayaking in the cove. Looking forward to coming back in the summer!

My boyfriend and I rented the Happy Owl Lakehouse for my birthday and had an amazing weekend! With Covid restrictions and concerns we wanted a quiet, relaxing weekend away from crowds and this house was perfect. The house and views are BEAUTIFUL! The house was true to the pictures, if not better. We loved the decor and vibe - modern, yet super cozy and warm. We're in the middle of renovating a condo so we loved every detail from the design elements to the tasteful decorations. The home had everything we needed - aside from a grocery run and a coffee run (we highly recommend Kafe Kali) we had everything we needed. We are already looking for dates when we can come back with family and we expect the kids will love the upstairs game area and balconies.

Terrific experience on many levels. On the exterior, the view and water access was outstanding. Plenty of water toys and entertainment items for all ages. A decent sized and grassy front yard too. The interior is VERY tastefully done with lots of amenities that I would not normally expect (e.g., charging hubs, multi-zone stereo system, etc.). It was hard to leave. Highly recommend.

This house was an excellent place to stay! It has everything you need and all the comforts of home. The view is beautiful and the design and layout of this house is impressive. Perfect place for a large family or just friends wanting a fun getaway. We will definitely be back!

This is a great house with a wonderful location on the lake. It is well outfitted to enjoy your stay including a complete kitchen. You really don't need to bring anything with you except for maybe champagne flutes if you want mimosas in the morning. They even had coffee available to brew, which was nice. As noted, the walkway down to the water is a bit of a mountain trail. Very steep and jagged. But the lake access is a short walk with good shore entry.

This house is absolutely stunning!! Stocked well with everything you could need from cooking items to floats and activities! We enjoyed lots of time down at the lake, the walk is a bit rocky and steep but we managed just fine. Our group is already talking about making this a yearly tradition. Can’t wait to come back!

The house was gorgeous and looked identical to the pictures on the website. My only dissapointmrnt was the access to the lake. This was addressed on a previous review and response was that this had been remedied. This is still a hazard and the only negative to the property

The property was very clean, the view is amazing & we did not want to leave! We cooked everyday & had everything we needed. The walk down to the water is steep & parts are slippery so bring the proper shoes, especially if you are carrying down heavy kayaks. We would definitely love to stay here again!

This property was just as beautiful as advertised. We were blown away from the moment we walked into the door. The views are stunning, the house is amazing and the lake access is second to none. We will definitely try to book this property again for future stays on Canyon Lake...that is if its not booked for years to come. A truly immaculate property!

Beautiful house overlooking the cove. Pictures do it justice. Had five people: 2 adults, two teenagers and a pre-teen, and all loved it and will look to stay here again.
