Location is superb

This is a superb, ground floor apartment in what was formerly a mansion (hence the name - Hotel de Flaux), It is in the shadow of the Kings Tower and metres away from the Place aux Herbes.

The apartment was extremely clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the location could not have been better-just steps away from main square in lovely Uzes. Communication with the owners was very easy as well, and they were very accommodating in helping us find an easy solution to park our car during our stay. I am looking forward to another visit!

Great location, very clean, great communication, well equipped

So this is one of the best equipped and cleanest apartments we have stayed in - perfect for people who want to do a bit of self catering after shopping in the brilliant market - the kitchen had everything we needed with a good fridge freezer and cooker. The apartment was really lovely in an old stone building in a locked pedestrian only courtyard - very quiet and private. It is probably 1 minute walk across the street into the Place Herbes and you are close to everything as a result! We also liked the fact we had a washing machine and tumble drier as we were in week 3 of our holiday! The agent also can arrange for secure parking across the town for 20 euros for a week which was essential as parking is difficult to get in Uzes unless short term. You should note that you dont really have outdoor space to sit in but in the heat of summer the apartment is relatively cool.

We found that there was a bit of crumbling sandstone evident eg by the walls near the bed and we were coughing a little at night but we had recently had respiratory viruses and our airways were a bit hypersensitive. Also it would be nice to have the ability to access Amazon Prime and Netflix on the TV but we are really nitpicking! It is a really beautiful apartment and perfectly located!

The location is superb, just off the Place aux herbs but extremely quiet; within easy walking to boulangerie, patissierie, and a vast array of shops; and, of course, the twice-weekly market!! Excellent privacy with separate entry. Beautiful and efficient interior design and decor. Note that the bedroom is open on either side of the bed, so quite spacious despite the photos. Very comfortable, large bed; adequate, well-designed clothes cupboard. Washer and Dryer! Person who met us was friendly and extremely helpful, guiding us to the apt, arranging parking, etc.; assuring that we had all we needed, and through in checking us out; also available throughout our stay as needed. Private parking available nearby for €30 for the entire stay! Superb!

There are a very few kitchen items we cld have used (as we stayed for a long time: cutting boards, proper bread knife, more plates, bowls, wine glasses, and similar): very minor, esp if you've a short stay or won't be eating in the apt. There was only one set of towels which req'd our washing due to our extended stay. PLEASE NOTE: there is a NO CANCELLATION policy!
