The whole stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated with a very comfortable large bed.

We booked here last minute & so glad we did. Lovely Lodge, dog friendly (they also provide dog bowls, bed & a chew) - our 12yr old Border Collie loved it here. We were in room 1 - ground floor room which was ideal. Room was spotless & couldn’t fault it. We decided to have an evening meal & we liked the concept that a minute up the road was their sister establishment’The FenceGate Inn’ The pies are beautiful, we ate in the pub bit as we had the dog but there’s a restaurant serving dinner. Then a nice walk back to Fence Gate Lodge. The hotel is a wedding venue too but music is turned off at midnight. We had a comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely & tasty & a good portion - again they catered well for our doggie & set up a table in a nearby room & brought our dog breakfast too. Thank you to the staff for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay & will be back!

Lovely hotel, kind friendly staff however hotel far too hot, limited breakfast, a bit of a mix up checking in but sorted eventually also no idea how to work coffee machine need to leave clearer instructions for this. Also couldn't find numbers to call reception

lovely hotel with really friendly staff - just what we needed for a weekend away with the dog. Was really nice to be able to take our dog to breakfast and he was treated to a sausage each day, very spoilt.

No bath when I specifically asked for one. No upgrades available. Mirror was tiny in room. Too hot couldn’t turn down heating.

Breakfast very good. Plenty of food well cooked and good quality.

Coffee machine in room didn’t work.

I stayed in room, 22 and the problem we had was when you were walking about in the room, the floor made a really bad noise. I think this is you need to look at

Fully flexible. we had a last minute change and needed to bring our dog! swapped our room to dog friendly (and they really were - lots of lovely touches). Great night sleep! and lovely breakfast!
