The owner is very nice and patient with the guests. The house is clean.

My direct wish is that I never booked this stay. I felt incredibly depressed after the stay and felt that spending over $1000 on this was the worst decision I could have made. Communication was difficult, and I often felt like I had to listen carefully as if I were talking to a boss. I almost believe the situation would be escalated to a legal battle, with constant threats referencing agreements, contracts, laws, and rules.

Amazing little haven full of surprises on the Murray

Very enjoyable weekend with close girlfriends. The house is well equipped and all our needs for a relaxing and comfortable stay where met. We were met by the Fred and Lesley, the caretakers and made to feel very welcome. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. We will most definitely return.

We had a family weekend away and it was everything we hoped for and then some. We did not want for anything. Between adults and kids it was perfect for all. The help provided from the caretakers ken and Karen was amazing and easy and contacting the owner prior to our stay was always responded to quickly and friendly. I have nothing but nice things to say about the whole experience from Booking through to when we left. Thankyou :-)

Nice old house in great location. The Owner Mark & Caretakers We're very Friendly and accommodating. Our Family Inc 5 Grandson 's 2 Daughters, their husbands & 3 girlfriend's had a great time. The house is very well equipped. Just 2 suggestions to make it perfect would be, the house needs painting inside & out & the Grout needs re doing in the Bathroom, Shower. The property is just as good as it looks in the online photos (maybe better). Everything went smoothly during the booking process and the onsite caretakers were very helpful. Fantastic place for a near-city getaway that feels like a million miles from the bustle of the city. Would certainly recommend and plan to be back.

Hreat family weekend

We had a wonderful week relaxing on the river in this perfect holiday cottage, so well set up and very cosy!! Home away from home. We had awesome weather so were tootling off in the boat, swimming and chilling out on the comfy lounges out in the boathouse. Loved the visiting wildlife, so much to see. We will definitely be back with the family. Thanks too to Callie who was very helpful and Mark making booking and follow up very easy.

River front brilliant. Front verandah great for meals and chatting. Crabbing and fishing, even though we didn't keep any, was great for children. Double beds very good, single beds not so good. Kitchen and house well supplied. Too much clutter in house but interesting. Boat rides on the river and estuary magnificent. Over all every one loved every minute

We had a lovely four days here. The location of the property is amazing with great access to the Murray River at your door. We enjoyed paddling across to the cafe and feeding the ducks. The house is cosy and well appointed with everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. We appreciated the personal welcome and the wine and choccies on arrival. A great spot for families of kids and teens.

The moment we entered the house..we fell in love with the sentimental valued decors and furniture. Wow! We occupied most of our times...bbq, dinner at living hall, lunch at the garden, fishing infront of the house, playing scrabbles and watch neflix. Too bad we didnt do kayaking ( scared). Just imagine being invited to stay in your good friend's family home, right on the Murray River! Their house is the gorgeous character home with the outdoor covered jetty/sitting room on the water! Family photos everywhere, comfortable furniture, toys for the little ones- eveything that the family uses- is there for you to use while staying.... putting on a dinner for the kids who come to visit with their spouses/ children, well, look for the placemats in the drawers you'd keep them in at your home, and that's where you'll find them here. This gorgeous holiday place is truly a "home away from home". Our Whole family loved it! Hubby and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary here for almost a week, with children visiting now and then. Canoeing on the river or to pop over to the shop on other side for a cuppa, pushing off from our own jetty, all was great fun, sweet memories. The men had great joy snagging a few fish to fry, while sitting on comfy chairs on jetty. Loved the warm wood fire to welcome us, and the host and caretakers being on hand for extra firewood or any other needs. This Holiday home is a 10/10, but I hope it doesn't get so popular that we miss out getting back to it as often as we would like. Loved staying there. So looking forward to our next times. Perfect place for whole families to create amazing memories. We did.

From the minute we walked into this charming old cottage on the river we knew it was pretty special. We went for a romantic getaway and what a lovely welcome with the log fire already burning. It was so cosy and a lovely gesture on what was a very cold winters day. Tried our hands at the kayaks so we could cross the river to Pelican Cafe and even popped the dog on the front and took him over with us. Love to come back one day and might hire a boat next time as we loved Jettys Bar and Grill down the river and would be nice to ride down there on the water. The kitchen was very well equipped and the library had some interesting books. In fact this place would be perfect to write that book one day. Thanks Mark and Sandy, we'll be back. Sue
