Convenient to surrounding communities. Tucked into very quiet beautiful surroundings. Lovely setting and great floor plan with lots of windows!

House had all the amenities covered. Our stay was very comfortable. We were able to cook in few times and visit local restaurant with in 20 minutes. Depending on what you are looking for, it is a great place to relax or go on adventures 1-2 hours away. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in spite of a rainy week.

An absolutely comfortable and super-generously supplied house in a beautiful setting. We were 5 people (two couples and a friend). Great gathering place in the living room/kitchen and large deck and very separate sleeping areas for maximum privacy whenever needed. Joe is one of the most responsive hosts ever!

Our family enjoyed our stay here. It is very nicely appointed with all you need for a relaxing getaway. Located outside of the busy but fun Boothbay Harbor area, it provides a quiet respite from all of the great things to do along the Midcoast. The host/owner was extremely responsive and helpful with my questions. Thank you for a great Maine vacation spot!

We enjoyed our stay at this Edgecomb home for several reasons: 1. Not far from Boothbay Harbor, East Boothbay, Wiscassett, and Damariscotta, as well as many preserves and hiking areas 2. Comfortable bedrooms w/full bathrooms 3. Well-equipped kitchen, which is part of the living/dining areas

The house is absolutely beautiful and has all the comforts of home. It is spotless and had everything we needed. We could not ask for more. The location was perfect and near all the places we love to visit. The grounds are well taken care of and it's so quiet and relaxing. Thank you Joe for sharing your house with us!

This property may well be the best we have ever rented in New England and we have been visiting this area for many years. Joe has done a tremendous job of providing a large (four-bedroom, three-bath) house situated on a beautiful tidal river. This modern, clean, and bright house has everything visitors could ask for from latest electronics, a complete kitchen including a lobster pot, and a large, airy great room! Each room's temperature is easily controlled (both heating and cooling) and three of the bedrooms include en-suite baths. Joe continues to take feedback from renters and has recently improved the entry by adding a very accessible set of granite steps and railing. The house is located in a peaceful setting inviting you to eat meals or just relax on the patio under a folding umbrella. Your only sounds are those of nature with many birds flitting around and an occasional gobble heard from wild turkeys. This house is ideally suited for two or three couples, providing ample room for everyone. Its Location on the Boothbay Peninsula places it within easy access to many mid-coast attractions. It is located minutes away from the wonderful Botanical Gardens and one of the best lobster rolls in Maine! The landlord has done a wonderful job of furnishing and decorating the house in tasteful Maine decor which includes many books and magazines about Maine and the vicinity. He communicates readily via email and includes explicit detailed instructions how to operate every appliance in the house. You simply will have a hard time finding a better place to spend your days visiting Maine.

The house was almost as advertised, except that the back area leading to the water wasn’t clear or level; we couldn’t reach it as there was a winding path not clearly visible from the house and not for those with mobility issues. That said, the house was clean and shielded from neighbors. The shared dock area was not accessible by car and through other’s property. The area around the house was beautiful and the house makes a good base from which to explore. Boothbay Harbor and the various restaurants in the area served good and plentiful food. Open food and craft markets rounded out the stay. I would consider returning with more people after the house and grounds are completed.

Joe’s property was absolutely awesome! He was very communicative throughout our entire stay. Well situated for day trips to points north and south. Very comfortable, very well outfitted and a great fireplace! A beautiful location we would love to return to in the summer, fall or winter again.

This property was perfect for us, we had two little ones with us and the downstairs area was perfect, with kitchen, family room And dining area with doors that close (crucial!) We loved taking walks in the neighborhood and enjoying the beautiful setting.

We really enjoyed our stay in Edgecomb. The house was very spacious and clean. Well stocked kitchen, large bedrooms and comfy mattresses. No private dock but a common dock on the river a short walk away.

The thoughtful layout of this property was perfect for our group of 4 friends traveling together--we had our own bedrooms (and private bathrooms) and enjoyed the open plan kitchen, dining, and living room. The outdoor space was beautiful and the entire property was full of thoughtful touches. Highly recommended for family and friend gathering!

I don’t have enough superlatives to describe how impressed I was with this house and Joe Walsh the owner. The house layout was perfect for 3 couples to have privacy but yet ample space and convenience to visit. The house was well equipped, well thought out and clean, clean, clean! I definitely recommend this vacation rental.

We had such a good time! Our goal was to spend some quality time together with my grandson before he goes off to college. With three generations under one roof, we all had our separate space yet came together in the great room to cook, enjoy family meals, watch a movie, play card games and even do jigsaw puzzles. I honestly didn't think my grandchildren would enjoy puzzles but they finished two! They even enjoyed a few games of ping pong too. All this, plus beautiful beaches and quaint coastal towns. It was a great week!

This was a wonderful home to just kick back and relax. It was very quiet. The quarry farm dock was a short walk, we actually saw a seal one night swimming in the river. The house was very clean. Having a bathroom to every bedroom was great.

Our group of 4 loved this property. The house was comfortable and had a lot of windows making it very open and airy. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning, with the view of the river below. The kitchen was well stocked and there was nothing we needed that wasn’t there. The owner was responsive to every question we had prior to arriving and he checked in with us while we were there to make sure everything was okay.

We had such a wonderful time on vacation at this home. It is located a few miles down a main road in a private development. The home is nestled in the trees and is tranquil and quite. The views of the water from the deck and main living space and bedrooms make it so beautiful. The layout was perfect for a large family/group and the house had everything you could need. Our favorite spot was enjoying morning coffee or adult beverage on the porch in the quiet. We loved how close it was to Wiscasset and Routes 1 and 27. Some of our favorites were: -Treats in Wiscasset -Water Street Grill for a nice dinner out - Pemaquid Point and lighthouse, and ice cream right near by -Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens - Southport, Newagen Inn -Damiriscotta Lake State Park, ice cream right near by and the shops in Damariscotta -Dodge Point Preserve was a great hike through the woods Overall it was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this property!

This property made it so easy to feel welcomed in a home away from home. The house had everything you could need, including AC to keep those warm nights pleasant. The location and condition of the house were great and allowed us all to both explore and relax with ease and in comfort. Joe's responsiveness to questions even in advance of our trip helped us prepare and jump right in. Wonderful home and location, wonderful week, wonderful hosts.

This house is perfectly located, has a very comfortable layout and worked great for our group that spanned in age from 10 to 84. Joe was responsive, informative and easy to communicate with. The a/c was especially welcome as we arrived in the middle of yet another summer heat wave. It would have been a tough week without it. Wonderful homebase for kayaking and fishing in Boothbay, beach days at Popham and biking into Wiscasset. Also, don't miss the Fort in New Harbor, or picking up some lobsters for a steal at Atlantic Edge (they'll steam them for you). Nice big kitchen, and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Loved walking down to the community dock. Generally great amenities, though the living room furniture could use some updating and -- a very minor thing -- we'd suggest bringing a sharp kitchen knife or two, as chopping with the ones on hand was a bit of a challenge. We would not hesitate to rent this house again!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Walsh home. It was quiet and out of the way of the tourist areas and gave us a nice respite after being out during the day site seeing. Nicely decorated and very clean. The home had a well stocked kitchen and met our needs. Joe was very helpful with any questions we had before and during our stay. There are a lot of magazines, games, and information about different things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again. John and Sherry

This property is an amazing find for us on a last minute work trip to the NE. The house is exceptionally furnished for large families and close to the water. The layout provides ample space for cooking and entertaining while allowing our kids a private space for online classes. Joe was an excellent host and made sure the driveway got plowed and the house was ready for our arrival! My wife wants to come back during the summer and rent this house again.

We had a fabulous time. The location and house were perfect. We played Ping pong, watched movies, and played many card games in front of the fire, ate lots of lobster and oysters, explored down to Orr's Island up to Friendship. The kitchen was perfectly stock for cooking in, beds were so comfortable, and views were tranquil! I loved all your big windows! We had snow! Yay!

Lovely home. Very clean, beautiful view of the river. Nice quiet neighborhood. Great location for exploring the region. We enjoyed the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Maine Maritime Museum, Pemaquid Lighthouse and Marshall Point Lighthouse. We also made the drive to Camden and enjoyed the view from Mt. Battie. Highly recommend staying in this lovely home.

the house is in a beautiful, uncrowded wooded area overlooking the river. furnishings were clean and comfortable. the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. many dining options and markets available in nearby Boothbay Harbor and Wiscasset. thank you so much, we had a wonderful stay!

This beautiful house was perfect during my first week when we were three generations together. As the oldest, I had my own first floor bedroom and bath tucked away from everyone. I also enjoyed my time alone. The location is so convenient with easy access to many attractions.

Wonderful, clean, spacious home with all the amenities you could ask for! House design allows you to all gather together or have privacy and space from one another, if desired. Ping pong table in the basement was a fun bonus after a day at the beach! Great location. Will tell my friends!
