チェックイン手続きだけを朝すませ、荷物をあづけて、観光にいった。夜、ホテルにもどると、チェックインの手続きされていない との事。再度手続きやりなおし。 お風呂に入ると、排水はトイレの方に流れ水浸し。スタッフより、前のお客さんが、歯ブラシを流していまいつまらせている。よくあることです。との説明。良くある事なら、しっかりチェックするべきではないか。

Location is excellent. The hotel itself is clean and rooms are relatively spacious.

Beware that when booking a room for 3 people, you only get two "normal" beds. We booked a room for 3 people, two of them got a normal bed and the third person got an extra bed. The extra bed only had a futon mattress which was very thin and the frame was rigid making this bed overall very uncomfortable. We settled to not use the bedframe at all and use the futon mattress on the floor. The hotel staff provided us with an additional futon mattress, since the one mattress was still too uncomfortable. With those two stacked mattresses on the floor, the sleeping experience was alright. If a normal mattress had been provided instead of the thinner mattresses, the sleeping experience would have been much more comfortable.

Nice and very reasonably priced hotel with comfy rooms and friendly staff. Within a walking distance from the railway station.

Coffee machine was out of order during our stay. Fortunately there was a kettle in the room though.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The headstand has the controls for aircon, room lights, and alarm clock, so you don't even have to get out of bed to adjust those. There's also a fridge in the room, and an ice machine is also available on one of the floors. The hotel is a slight walk away from the Shukkein and the Hiroshima Museum of Art stations for the sightseeing loop bus which is included in the JR pass if you bought that, so I did not have to pay any extra transportation fares and could get around to most of the tourist attractions with just the JR pass. Check the timetable though, as the bus back to Hiroshima station only leaves once every hour. Even so, it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the shopping street next to the Atomic Bomb Dome. There's a few restaurants right next door: an udon place that seems popular with salarymen, and a okonomiyaki place. Reception will store your bags for free if you arrive before check-in :D

One thing about the aircon is that it only has 3 settings, and you couldn't adjust to specific temperatures (?) from what i could tell. I was fine with it at high setting though. For the price, I really don't have much to complain about :D

A very comfortable stay in the reasonably priced Valie Hotel. Rooms were simple, comfortable and very clean. Staff were great and very helpful. Excellent location.

Free coffee available in the morning in the lobby. A machine that did both wash and dry. Great staff.

Bathroom was new and spotless. Price was good. They checked temperatures at the lobby during check-in. Staff were friendly and could accommodate my English.

The room was booked as smoking, but upon arrival smelt extra roasted and old ashtray-like. Been to other hotels where the room was smoking too, but didn't have a very pungent smell like this did. I vape, which could mean I'm more sensitive to smell generated by cigarettes. Asked to change rooms, they said no for whatever reason. I left window open throughout the stay. Air freshener provided.
