This is an old house, so don't expect it to be anything different- historic. We truly enjoyed our stay. Home is in safe neighborhood and walking distance to downtown. As advertised- no more no less. We would return.

Charming, many amenities, quiet neighborhood, plentiful linen closet, lots of daylight, well-stocked kitchen appliances and cupboards. I'd stay again!

Wonderful place to stay in Morganton. Right next to downtown and on a quiet, tree lined street. The house was a charming gem - beautiful original floors, stunning trim, cozy, with a well-appointed eat-in kitchen. The upgrades, like HVAC, kitchen appliances, vents, and water pressure were very much appreciated. Communications were top-notch - almost instantaneous. Just an excellent experience overall. We will absolutely stay here again.

The Gaithersburg House was amazing. It’s so close to the quaint downtown and everything it has to offer. So location was perfect. I loved learning about the history of the house and seeing it was just as fabulous.
The owners are fantastic. They were overly accommodating and easy to reach for any questions you might have!
If you’re interested in exploring this area I 100% recommend this house as a destination.

The property is enchanting, you will never want to leave. It's beautiful and spacious, yet warm and comfortable at the same time. Charmaine and Edward are helpful, professional, and timely. I would definitely love to stay next time I am in town to see family.

This property exceeded my expectations . The history in the home was unbelievable! I live close by to this home, but rented the Gaither House to have somewhere to get ready and dressed for my wedding. The house is very spacious, and beautifully decorated. I couldn’t have asked for more! The master bedroom was wonderful, the bed was very comfortable. We loved having access to the fireplaces when it was cool in the evening. Thank you so much for hosting us before my special day! Definitely one of the best places I have ever stayed in.

SO clean!! Wonderful historic home on the National registry! Comfy beds, great furniture, quiet and so close to everything downtown…just minutes from the golf course. Plenty of space in the bedrooms and bathrooms…the kitchen which we did not use was very well stocked…same with the laundry. Thank you for letting us stay in this wonderful home!!

Beautifully restored 18th century house in a quiet and convenient neighborhood. Very comfortable, very well equipped kitchen, lots of room. This was our base for travel to Asheville, Conover and Hickory to visit friends and attend wedding festivities. Very happy with our choice.

Cousins Reunion
My sister and I had a lovely stay at the Gaither House during our visit for our cousins' reunion. Large beautifully furnished rooms, wonderfully stocked kitchen, beautiful backyard setting. We will definitely book again for our next reunion visit to Morganton.

We will definitely be back. The home is 2-3 blocks from downtown Morganton (VERY Walkable). Not only is it gorgeous on the outside, but the inside is a perfect mix of history, charm, and comfort.
There were fresh flowers (from the garden) greeting us in many of the rooms. The furnishing were lovely, and made us feel at home.
All the modern conveniences were there (still surprising for a home of this age) The air conditioning worked great, as did the WiFi!
Thank you to our hosts...it was really a terrific experience (and I fell in love with the neighbors super-friendly cat)

Loved staying here! Historic home renovated to modern standards. Great character with amazing windows and high ceilings, more spacious than anticipated, in a great location. We’ll-stocked gourmet kitchen, comfy beds, quiet and efficient heating/air conditioning system. Will definitely book again when visiting Morganton….

Nice well maintained property. We had an issue with the hot water and contacted the manager. They responded quickly and the issue was fixed. We would stay there again.

This little historic home was perfect for our stay! We love the charm and history of the house. It was also very convenient to restaurants and shopping. I was able to walk into cute downtown Morganton for coffee in the morning!

Great Fall Visit to Historic Morganton
The home is beautiful with all the amenities++ the walk to downtown shopping and coffee & eats was quick. We were looking forward to the hot tub, but it was drained. We adjusted to more time on the porch in the early mornings.
