Very nice place to get away from the daily grind and just relax. Property met our expectations, and was as specified by the owner, who BTW is fantastic with communication and recommendations of things to do and where to eat. Thank you, Robb!

Magnolia place was a quaint little place nestled in the mountain woods. It served as a perfect place to relax while visiting the area for a wedding. Very comfortable and cozy. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to the area. Robb and Linda have done it up right. Steve W.

This was our second time coming here and we love it. Best location for a summer lake vacation. Quiet, private, and everything you need for a getaway whether for a weekend or a week.. The host is very helpful and pleasant to speak with. 5 stars all the way.

We couldn’t have asked for better hosts, who made us feel very welcome, offered great suggestions for restaurants, and made sure we had the best stay possible. Magnolia Place was so warm and inviting, and very close to all of the activities the resort offered. We highly recommend a stay at Magnolia Place, and look forward to returning there soon.

We had a great stay at Magnolia Place. I picked it primarily for the resort access and it was such a great perk! We played pickleball, did putt putt, took a boat tour, hung out at the beach and pool (and more) through Rumbling Bald. Robb was very attentive and the process was easy and convenient.

We weren't expecting the suite to be attached to the hosts permanent residence. That's the only thing I would change about the listing is to disclose that information. This didn't change the enjoyment of our stay, however, would have been nice to know up front. Robb and LA were very attentive hosts and made sure that we didn't have to ask for anything with the suite being fully equipped with anything we could have possibly wanted or needed during our stay. The close proximity to Rumbling Bald resort (just down the hill) and access the the amenities were great! The indoor pool and spa were perfect for the cooler weather. Robb was very kind to give lots of recommendations for local food and places to see and things to do. Overall, our stay was great and just what we needed for a short weekend getaway. The area is just beautiful!!

Robb was a great host. He greeted us when we arrived and showed us the amenities. We had access to the resort for massages. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock were close by with nice restaurants. I would recommend this place for a quiet get away.

Very uncomfortable and had a musty smell. Likely due to the garage it was attached to and the old wicker furniture and it’s in the basement. They charged me 25$ fir one white towel that I got blood in from a Wouk d

Robb and L.A. are great hosts. Magnolia Place is beautiful and they make sure you have everything you need in order to have a wonderful visit. Having access to the resort amenities provides lots of options for activities. Very enjoyable stay!

Enjoyed our tour on Lake Lure through Rumbling Bald resort which our host gave us access to the resort.

We had a wonderful time. The suite is much more spacious than the pictures indicate. Every amenity was there in the suite when we got there and many of the things we brought for our trip were unnecessary as they had it provided in the room. Only a few minutes from the rumbling bald resort but you would never know it. Still close enough for a day trip into chimney rock village. The owners were very hospitable and friendly. I would take this over the beach anytime.

We had a short getaway for our anniversary at Robb and LJ's and it was fabulous. They welcomed us with open arms and even had a little treat for our anniversary. They were extremely accommodating and hospitable. We will definitely be back!

A clean, comfortable room, that was located in a beautiful location that provided a good location to explore the blue ridge mountains, and nearby attractions of Lake Lure. Robb was an excellent and friendly host.

My wife and I were in a need to simply remove ourselves from our lives. We first came up with the idea of a cabin in the mountains which would have been a first for both. Being that it was the New Year weekend. Everything was completely booked. I searched and searched and came upon this GEM. My goodness I could not have been more happy. The accommodations were comfortable and military clean. You could put white gloves on and not pick up a speck. The detail to attention was better than most 5 star hotels I've stayed at. We both felt like it was like a second honeymoon. The owners are on site but the privacy is well respected. Robb and LA were awesome host. Very helpful and always accessible with information. The people in the community too were all so friendly and inviting. So many smiles and happy people in the area. The scenery was so relaxing and quiet on the property and throughout the area. We are looking forward to a return in the near future. This one here will kot disappoint. Thank tou Robb and LA for so warm and inviting.

Rob called me as soom as the accommodations for my stay were confirmed. Called the courtesy desk at Asheville Airport for phone numbers so I could arrange transportation to his property. Was sitting and waiting for my arrival at 1:30 AM to welcome me. The room was well supplied with coffee, beach necessities and toiletries. Rob and Linda wanted to help me in any way so I would enjoy my stay. They gave me a tour of Rambling Bald Resort. They took me food shopping. Linda arranged for my transportation back to Asheville airport. Linda drove me to the resort on Sunday morning so I did not have to walk in my dressy outfit and shoes. Nice soft bed with 6 pillows to sleep in. Plenty of clean towels. Great place to spent your vacation.

The owners, Rob & LA did a beautiful job of making this one room suite homey and comfortable. Everything was impeccably clean. Communication with the owner was pleasant and welcoming. The resort amenities are a definite bonus to this property and Rob made sure we had guest passes upon check in. Would definitely consider staying here again!

We really enjoyed our visit to Robb and LAs. The place was in tip top shape and really clean. It was stocked with all the amenities (coffee, towels, etc.) and Robb was extremely informative with recommendations. The location was ideal for the resort and private lake which we really enjoyed.
