This was our first visit to Naxos and we could not have picked a better place to stay. The house was super close to the beach and very comfortable for our family of 6, but the best part by far was the warm hospitality of the owners: Takis and Athena. They were lovely to meet upon arrival and helped us over the course of our stay with restaurant and sailing reservations and even directly called a doctor and arranged an appointment for one of our kids to be seen. The house was supplied with everything that you might need, and although I did not realize this at the time of booking, included daily maid service. Well done Takis and Athena, we will certainly return some day.

We stayed in Villa Aetheria for 3 night's. Gorgeous villa, clean well set up and plenty of space, Amazing layout with multiple terraces and views. Owners, Athena & Takis, are very friendly and very helpful They were very communicative from our first email communication until the day we left. Spacious and well designed rooms with nice interiors. Nearby beach was perfect. We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you Athena & Takis.

The villa is in excellent condition, much more impressive in real life than on the pictures. The location is great, right on Plaka beach. And the hosts are just the loveliest people, so generous, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Athena's villa for the first 2 weeks of October. We have a family of 4 including 2 young sons of 3 and 6. The Villa is very well appointed with everything that one may need. Ample rooms and sleeping arrangements, great kitchen with all the conveniences, and a very well laid out villa. It's in great condition, with plenty of hot water and everything one may need for a comfortable stay. The location was only a short walk from the beach, but we ended up renting a car that Athena organized for us at only 18Euro/ day, which was well worth it. It gave us the ability to visit all the local beaches in the area and try out different spots that were only a few minutes by car but would have been a little far to walk to. Also, with a car you can be in Naxos City (Chora) within 10 minutes or so, which opens up a lot more options for restaurants, lunch spots, shopping, and better supermarkets. Naxos is a great little town to visit with a cool old town with cobblestone streets nestled around an old castle, and a picturesque port. Plaka beach, which is just a few minutes walk from the villa is a wonderful, long beach with numerous spots to hang out and restaurants every couple hundred feet to choose from. You can swim anywhere along the beach. Further along is another little beach/ village with a small port at Agia Anna, then 2 minutes past that is another little area where we ended up most days - Agios Prokopios - where it's a little more sheltered with incredibly calm water and was perfect for swimming with the kids. Athena was a wonderful hostess who was courteous and helpful, picking us up from the Port when we arrived, and helping us get to the airport for our departure when we left. She had lots of great suggestions and information for restaurants, shopping, day trips, etc. Also gave us some organic home grown veggies, and was always available to help wherever possible. She lives next door, so was always easy to reach when needed. I would definitely highly recommend this villa as a great relaxing place to stay, and the area for a wonderful vacation in a calm, quiet and safe area.

My boyfriend and I loved this villa. It had everything we needed and more. Just a few steps to the amazing beach of plaka made our stay even more unforgettable. Athina was extremelly accommodating. She gave us great suggestions on what to do and where to eat..etc I highly recommend sataying at this cozy super nice villa!! We hope to be back. Naxos is a very unique island!

Villa Dimitra is an extremely comfortable, well-equipped villa in a quiet yet accessible location close to the beautiful beach, restaurants, bars and supermarket. The villa is clean, spacious and offers "extras" not often found in Greek properties, such as mosquito screens, ample hot water, satellite TV and comfortable outdoor furniture. During our 10-day stay, the villa was cleaned through and towels and bedding were changed. We would definitely recommend this villa, in fact we plan on staying here again the next time we come to Naxos.

The house is a bit away from town, but close to a beach and restaurants (which were closed during the off-season we were there). The property is well-thought out and feels more like a home than a rental property. The pizza oven outside is welcome, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax, drink a beer or glass of wine - both inside and outside. Athina lives next door and is extremely helpful. She picked us up from the ferry terminal with our rental car already there. It is hard to have a more convenient arrival at past midnight. if there is anything not perfect it is the mothballed construction of two similar villas next door (which is understandable considering the economic situation) and road construction between the house and town. The latter will be finished by now, allowing for even shorter drives to Naxos port. Definitely a recommendation!

We stayed for a week at Villa Dimitra in July 2013 and what a stay it was! The villa itself is new, clean and spacious, thoughtfully furnished and beautifully decorated, with large well-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and lots of outdoor spaces. There were 7 of us, all girls, and there were no lines to the bathrooms in the morning, because there were three and a half bathrooms! Athena was a wonderful hostess. She picked us up at the port, drove us to the supermarket, brought us vegetables from her own garden. She was always there for us to answer questions, give recommendations and provide us with care and attention we have never seen from any host (and we travel a lot!). It takes about 5-7 minutes on foot to get to the beach, one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen and it was not crowded. If you want umbrellas and beach chairs, turn right upon entering the beach, but if you want privacy and serenity, turn left – the beach there is almost empty, which was what we were looking for. The bus stop and Three Brothers tavern are right on the corner which was very convenient. We found Three Brothers tavern to be one of the best restaurants on the island. We also bought bread and appetizers from them to eat at the villa. It takes about 20 minutes by bus to get to Naxos town and the port. The old part of the town was unbelievably beautiful and authentic. After making day trips to Santorini and Myconos which were way too touristy and pricey, we felt that they were highly overrated, while old Naxos town – underrated. If you are looking for an authentic Greek atmosphere, make sure you wander the winding streets of old town during the day as well as at night. You’d feel like you were transported back in time. All in all, our stay at villa Dimitra was perfect! The only negative, the stay was too short! One week felt like one very long and very happy day!

We stayed at villa Dimitra with our 2 children and our friends who have a baby and found that the house was very spaciuos, very thoughtfully and beautifully decorated and the kitchen and utility room were very well equiped. Athena and Daki the owners were very helpful and even brought us vegetables from their organic vegetable garden! The house is 5 minutes walk from the most beautiful beach on Naxos and there are shops and lovely restaurants within walking distance. This place was a real find.

We spend a wonderful time in this beautiful house near the Plaka Beach in Naxos. Athena and Taki were very nice to us. We can fully recommend and you will enjoy your vacation.

My husband and two small children traveled here from the US, where we met our friends from Switzerland, who also had two small children. We had a WONDERFUL time. The house was spacious and very clean, and had a nice open kitchen which we spent a lot of time in. The best part is that it's a short walk to one of the most beautiful sand beaches I've been to in Greece. The water was crystal-clear gorgeous, and had an ample shallow strip which was ideal for the kids. Athena was a perfect host -- she is extremely personable and was always responsive to our needs. We loved the house and beach so much that we didn't go anywhere else on the island, even though the bus stop was very close by. The house is a great find -- I highly recommend it for a family/friends getaway.

We didn't know much about Naxos, we had just spent 7 nights on Crete, and before that 2 nights in athens. We were looking forward to a relaxed 3 night stay. I was pleasently surprised by the whole experience from the minute we got off the boat, intil we left We were met at the dock by athina, the owner of the villa.I had made a car reservation with avis, however, the car was not available. She made sure that I got a car, and was able to return the car at the dock. this saved us a considerable walk from the avis office to the dock area. She went with me to the local market, to get groceries and introduce me to some local merchants. The villa was great, very quiet, ,surrounded by farms and wetlands, yet only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach/ restaurant area. The villa itself had everything: great setup, 3 bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, outdoor seating with a grill. Athina and her boyfriend even arranged a for a wind surfing lesson for my 2 sons. We had a great time watching them and they had a better time experiencing it They went with us to the ferry , and helped with the avis car return which went very wel Very nice people, very helpful. We had a great time, in a great neighborhood, on a great island. To sum this experience up: We would have stayed a week longer if we could. I highly recommend this villa rental

For the last 10 years my family has taken holiday in the Cyclades islands and we typically move around the islands at leisure selecting accommodation on arrival. This year I had the tough job planning a holiday for my extended family of 8 ranging from 2 to 56 years old and clearly island hopping was not a practical option!. We selected Naxos as our much loved island for idyllic beaches, crystal clear waters, great food, facilities and warm hospitality. Plaka beach is by far our favourite and so I sought out accommodation in the area. By luck I discovered Villa Dimitra – a gem in the island’s treasure chest! Even from all the excellent reviews the villa received, it still surpassed our expectations! It is extremely spacious, spotlessly clean and has all the facilities of a modern home encased in charming island character. The location is ideal in that it’s only 5 minutes stroll to the beach and bars yet it’s surrounded by quiet, peaceful farmland with several balconies to enjoy the views, relax in the hammock or sit the family round the vast table for BBQ and drinks. Athena and Taki glow with hospitality. They are welcoming and kind and make it a priority to assist you in any events to ensure your holiday is relaxing and enjoyable. They assisted us with transfers, car rental, supplied us with produce from their organic garden and even escorted us to the local hospital when a family member had an accident! You could not wish for more. In summary, the perfect villa which is excellent value for money in a perfect location for a family or group of friends looking to relax and enjoy the island. It was our second visit to Naxos and the first time we stayed in "Villa Dimitra". The hosts welcomed us at the port and escorted us to the villa. The house is in a great location, 3-5 mins walk from the best beach of the island, close to the amenities of the village, as well as to some of the best bars and restaurants of the island. The specific beach is a paradise for wind-surfers and sea addicts.. It is several kilometers long and you can enjoy any type of relaxation.. The hosts, are very kind and caring and they offered a lot of services during our stay. They also gave us great Thai-massage sessions since they are Thai-massage practitioners. The house is very clean with a huge garden, a barbeque and several verandas where you can enjoy your breakfast or dinner under the stars! Generally the place made our stay even better, feeling at home and made good friends with the hosts since they showed us and recommended us "secret" locations. We had very good communication with them and we would definitely go back to their place!!!

Me , my husband , our two kids and a friendly couple , stayed at villa Dimitra for 9 glorious days during middle June of 12. We were greeted on arrival on port of Naxos by owner Athena and his partner and were immediately made us to feel special like best friends. Hosts are great! Soon after our arrival drove us to the supermarket, they gave us detailed infos where to go , where to eat , what to do , etc. Villa is located only 3 minutes walk from world class beach of Plaka. The bus station is only 200-meters away if you wanna go to Naxos downtown but is no needed cause there are plenty of restaurants and things to do around. BBQ and the huge garden are lovely and the stunning view from the balconies to the mountains , sea and the sunset made our holidays ideal. Also the mosquito fences were must ! There is a great feeling of space and exclusivity and its easy to find shade and your own space even with the house full. The full equipped kitchen the big living-room some amenities like dishwasher , washing machine etc made us feeling like home. Three minutes walk from the best beach of the island. extremely friendly people and the owners were very helpfull with everything! The property is clean and a pleasure to stay in, we were there with 6 people and everyone had the time of their lives. The property is located 3 minutes away from the bus stop and that makes everything helpfull and mobile. There is also a variety of mini markets and different restaurants in walking distance!
