The cottage is ideally located in a quiet area and within easy walking distance of shops and cafes. The cottage itself is very comfortable and equiped with all mod cons for an enjoyable break. Recommended.

Great cosy cottage and no problems keeping warm at night in the cooler months. Easy short stroll to the beach and enjoyed the local fish/chips and woodfired pizza. Had a great quiet weekend away!

Quirky little shack close to lots of exciting great ocean road activities

Let me start by saying that this 1 bedroomed property is located in a beautiful and serene area of Airey's Inlet. We really appreciated this. Unfortunately, our intended stay had been foreshortened by illness but we made it for a night. This turned out to be an unwise move on our part. It was evident that various aspects of the unit had been updated but the essentials, such as the kitchen, had not been. Expected supplies such as adequate toilet paper and dish washing liquid were missing. Two spotlights in the kitchen had blown and the general level of cleanliness was not as good as we expected (particularly inside cupboards and drawers). The water was turned off because of a major pipe burst but fortunately, this was restored. Communication with the owner (who was away) and the emergency contact bore some fruit. We did not raise all issues with the owner because of the time difference & it was hardly appropriate to do so with the stand-in contact. The real killer was the bed. We had understood that this was comfortable. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I ended up spending part of the night on the sofa because of the hard mattress. It was also cold. Thank goodness for the reverse cycle aircon which was definitely needed! Just in case you wondered - there is no dishwasher despite the photo viewed at the time of booking on the website. Time for a refurb!!

Property is neat, tidy and well maintained. Has all you need for a get away. Location is fantastic, short walk to beach, shops or cross the road to sit by the river.

Spa - the spa had not been maintained properly, there was hair stuck in the jets, hair on the base and dust around the base aswell. Hot water - there was just enough hot water for 1 spa with nothing left over for a shower, despite the owner saying otherwise. Was informed of a booster switch to press in the event of requiring hot water immediately, we press the booster switch which took 3 hours to make the water room temperature meaning there was little to nothing for a shower afterwards. Heating - there was an extra heater supplied which was too small for even the bedroom, let alone the cottage. Both heaters combined all day made the cottage 'cosy'. Toilet - the toilet base had a light seam of mold where water was bubbling and leaking at a constant rate when the spa was being drained. There was dust all around the sides of the toilet and the toilet made a continues splashing noise which could be heard from the main room. Misc - the shower head was continuously dripping, 1x heat light blown and hanging down with dust all over the light unit, ceiling fan was dislodged from the roof, 1 light glob not working in the main room and the apparent dishwasher that was shown in the photos was not there. Contact with owner was very good but care factor for the cottage is very minimal. It needs a lot of maintenance and even more cleaning to be done. Would not come back.

We had a lovely stay at a River Bed Cottage. It was so incredibly relaxing looking out at the river. Shops were within easy walking distance along the river and we enjoyed fishing straight across the road. The cottage was comfortable with everything we needed and Wendy was a responsive, friendly host. Our little dog enjoyed the neat garden and close access to lovely beaches. We hope to return some day!

it was a great stay with our little dog. It was not so bad not so good. House had everything we needed. Spa was the best out of all. But cleanliness of house could have been better. i suppose so because it was a "pet friendly"??

great location, excellent for our little dog and the dog door made her so independent. unfortunate that the dishwasher wasn't working, it would be helpful to have a dish drainer if the dishwasher wont be fixed. the couches were so comfortable and the sunny aspect combined with the excellent weather that Aireys turned on made for a great mid winter break.

Our stay here was a quick winter weekend away. Quiet location just a short walk to the shops. There was everything we needed. Spa bath was very relaxing. Perfect for summer, but may I recommend another heater for winter.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable weekend at River Bed Cottage. The accommodation was clean, well-appointed, perfectly positioned and with a wonderful view out the living and bed room over the river. During our stay we were treated to a golden sunset out the window after a lovely afternoon stroll up the river. For dinner, we walked the couple-of-hundred metres to the small group of shops and had beautiful pizza. Communication with owners was also top notch. Will definitely return.

This place has it all. It's a comfortable and well maintained cottage, in the perfect setting. Our labrador had the time of his life, as did his relaxed owners. Great coffee a short stroll away. We'll be back

A River Bed Cottage is in a great location, quiet away from the road across from lovely river. Our dogs were happy playing in the courtyard or having a swim. Hubby was happy fishing and my morning latte was only a 5min walk so I was happy too.

enjoyed our stay immensely, loved the location. Easy walking to popular spots.Only suggetion is to have a small table & chairs to sit on outside to eat or relax.

Very tidy and clean place in a nice quiet location

We stayed for 2 nights for a very relaxing weekend . . No need to get into the car as you can walk to coffee shop & pizza restaurant which makes wonderful wood fire pizzas & fish n chip shop,lighthouse river & beach . My only suggestion would be a table for outside . Would definitely come back & I found Wendy very easy to communicate with Michelle

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at River Bed Cottage. The view from the lounge and deck out to the river - with virtually no cars to be concerned about - was a highlight. All was so quiet and so peaceful. I loved this above all else. The setting and location was also perfect for my dog, even with a swim for her anytime too just out the door. I have already booked to return... I loved my stay there.

We enjoyed our stay at A River Bed, it's so quiet and peaceful and there's so much to do around the area. Perfect for parents with newborn babies also whom are looking for a place to get away.
