My family had an excellent time at Tybee Island. This was our first time visiting, and certainly won’t be our last. The Beachside Colony is maintained very well, and feels safe and private. We loved the beach, both pools, and on site restaurant very much.

This property was perfect for our girl's getaway week. Right on the beach, very clean and comfortable, close to restaurants and activities. Really liked The Deck restaurant right on the premises and having the bar next to the pools was an added bonus. Beds were comfortable, towels were plush, tastefully decorated. 3-4 people would be ideal--6 would push the space a little. We didn't use the sofa bed but i guess it would be OK for kids. We'll definitely consider returning to #411. A great vacation spot!

The short drive to Savannah maid it a no brainer to stay on Tybee and we licked out with the room at the Beachside Colony. Upon arrival, the front office was pleasant to deal with and they explained all areas of the resort and we found everything as explained. The Beach Bar was a plus. Just a little disappointed they didn't mention the 15% discount on our check for people staying at the resort. Our room was perfect and the view was as advertised. I don't think there is a better location to stay on the island.

Tybee Island is lost in time and happily so. The property is nicely kept. Our only complaint(s) are not serious: The laundry dryer filter needs attention and replacement. Also, the sliding doors to the outside decks are hard to open and close. They need attention as well. My family spent a week here. Very nice community for sure and peaceful. My oldest daughter is a distance runner and ran all over the island, she felt safe and secure. We took a day trip to Hilton Head and everyone agreed Tybee was much more peaceful and welcoming. Day trip to Savannah is highly recommended. It rained but we did not care and laughed all around. We will be back.

We stayed here for my youngest daughters senior trip. The condo was beautifully decorated, had an amazing view and was in a great location. There were some inconveniences (we spoke to the company) but nothing that would keep us from staying again. We will hopefully be back one day.

The town has a nice bike route from which really good restaurants and a very nice dog park can be accessed. You can also ride a bike to Dizzy Dean's which is the best place to get to-go drinks to enjoy on the rental's balcony. Our favorite restaurants, in this order: N. Beach Bar & Grill (best food), Huck-a-Poos (best atmosphere), The Deck (best view & location on-site), and Sting Ray's (great food and dogs allowed on deck).

Sadly, we probably won't come back there because Tybee Beach doesn't allow dogs on the beach any hour of the day, any day of the year. Ultimately, there are places just as nice for a LOT cheaper where dogs are allowed to walk on the beach at least some time, especially during the off-season which is when we usually go. That said, if we weren't such dog fans and if we made loads of money, we'd probably go back there every year.
