Loved the location. Home was well stocked. Recreation facilities were wonderful and in an amazingly beautiful setting. Comfortable accommodations except for staying cool. No A/C and limited fans. Was quite warm some evenings.

Cabin was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. Felt very homey. The only thing missing was air conditioning but I know that there typically is no need for it.

Our family had an amazing experience at this property. The house was clean, updated, and beautifully furnished/decorated. The deck was fantastic for relaxing and BBQing. The neighborhood was quiet and just a short walk to Northstar village. Plenty of things to do very nearby- hiking trails, golfing, biking, Kings Beach; also comes with access to a beautiful pool and gym. We can’t wait to come back!

This charming Tahoe cabin provided the perfect venue to host a mid-week "girls just want to ski" getaway for four friends. My friends and I have stayed in many rental properties and without a doubt, this cabin was one of our all-time favorites. The cabin has been remodeled and the decor is charming - it has a French chateau vibe that perfectly blends eclectic design elements with contemporary comforts. The room and bath configuration worked very well for our group, with a large king bed and bathroom upstairs, as well as a room with bunkbeds. There were two more bedrooms downstairs; one was a smaller room with a queen bed and the other slightly larger with a king bed and single bed. The downstairs bedrooms and living area share a bathroom. The beds were all very comfortable, with high quality linens, comforters and down pillows. All the bedrooms offered plenty of storage for our personal gear and the entry area downstairs provided a place to store our skis and boots adjacent to the washer/dryer. Extra blankets were available in the closets. The kitchen was well-supplied with dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots/pans, spices, and other items you don't normally see in a rental property. We brought our own herbs, spices, oil & vinegar, but it's so nice to open a cabinet and see things other than just salt, pepper and sugar. The gas fireplace added to the ambience and warmed up the living room nicely. The best part, from a skiing standpoint, was that we could put on our ski boots in the cabin, then use the Northstar Transportation App to request the shuttle, which picked us up at the end of the driveway. We never waited more than a few minutes for the shuttle, either getting to or from the village. The cabin is .9 miles to the village and took about 5 minutes in the shuttle, (with one or two stops to pick up other passengers along the way). Communications with the owner were straightforward, timely and helpful. We highly recommend this cabin and really look forward to another stay!

Everything was great. Just would have hoped that they had turned on the heat before we arrived (with Nest it’s easy) so that we didn’t have to arrive at mid jght with kids in a freezing house.

Wonderful cabin with plenty of space for my family. There were 8 of us total - 4 adults and 4 kids aged 5-15. We enjoyed the easy shuttle pick up to get to the village. We used the kitchen a bunch to make easy meals and enjoyed lounging on the couch. The cabin was stocked with plenty of games to play as well - perfect for our family get together. Donna was quick to help us with any issues we had - the key code to get inside, fireplace info. We would definitely rent this condo again!

Chalet Madier will be the first place we check for availability whenever we visit Northstar! We are return renters and love everything about this home!

Chalet Madier is the perfect home away from home. We stayed here over New Year's with another family (4 adults; 4 kids, ages 7-10) and plan to return this season once more (more if available). Our feedback on various aspects below... OWNERS: Donna is super responsive. She always responded to our emails and inquiries within a couple hours. The information for check-in was available well in advance of our visit. Instructions for getting into the house were VERY easy. LOCATION: Have I used the word "perfect" enough? Beaver Pond is a 3 minute shuttle ride to the village. Download the Northstar app and simply request a pickup. We never waited more than 8 minutes to get into or return from the village. Use the NPOA passes to drive over to rec center to relax in hot tub, work out at gym, or let kids play in arcade. HOME: Charming. Spacious. Updated. Very clean. Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need/want. The kitchen is plentiful when it comes to pots, pans, dishes, glasses. There is a coffee maker, toaster, griddle, cheese boards, baking dishes, extra coffee filters, dish towels, pot holders, dishwasher pods, basic cleaning stuff, etc. Bathrooms have plenty of soap, towels, washrags, toilet tissue, etc. Fireplace and Nest thermostat worked wonderfully and kept everyone warm and toasty. Dishwasher, washer and dryer are updated and work well. ROOMS: Master upstairs was very spacious. Outside of master bedroom is the bunk room (two twin bunks plus a trundle). In the bunk room (where two kids stayed), there is a TV and foosball table. Kids loved it. Master bathroom (shower, toilet, two sinks) is off that room. Downstairs, there are two bedrooms: One very large one with queen and twin beds - two other kids stayed in that room and the other one slightly smaller (but with plenty space) with a queen-sized bed. Downstairs bath had single sink, bathtub/shower combo, and toilet. Overall, a REALLY great place. We will definitely check on availability of Chalet Madier before booking Northstar again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We came to Tahoe for the weekend to attend my nephew's wedding and decided it would be nicer to stay together at a cabin rather than at a local motel. The cabin was perfect for ourselves and our two daughters, their husbands and the 3 small children between them. One of them used the bedroom downstairs and we were able to put their 3 year old in the bed and 9 month old in a pack'n'play they brought. The other couple slept upstairs with their 2 year old in another pack'n'play. We did not use the bunk beds on the landing at the top of the stairs. My daughters appreciated that though the cabin was beautifully decorated, it was very child friendly without a lot of delicate furniture or knick knacks. We loved the large table that could accommodate the whole group at one time. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and other items that made our stay complete.

We have rented a lot of cabins in Tahoe over the years and this one is definitely among our favorites. The house is stocked with all of the necessities, from paper towels to DVD's and board games. It was just remodeled, so all the furniture, appliances etc. look brand new, and two people in our group commented on how comfortable the beds were. Perhaps the best part about this house is the location. Just down the road from the Village at Northstar (free shuttle service picks up at the driveway) and next to the Ritz Carlton as well. The owner Donna was great and very communicative during the stay. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful cabin with everything you need. Ample, quality linens and well-stocked kitchen. Very clean. The half mile walk to the village is so convenient! The instructions were very detailed and easy to understand and Donna was very prompt and helpful responding to emails. We will definitely return to this lovely home!
