Excellent location for our two-nights stay ! 20 minutes walk to Glendalough where the hiking trails begin. The hotel is charming, we had one of the rooms located in the garden, it was very quiet. Wi-fi is included. Breakfeast is not included, we had one in the associated restaurant wich was very good.

We had a problem with the shower (no warm water), however the staff really tried to fix the situation and provided access to an unoccupied room to get a warm shower. We appreciated that.

The location is amazing! We were in a small house behind the main house, so it was quiet and private as well as cozy. There 's a great restaurant next door and a convenience store right across the road. No downsides, would stay again in a heartbeat.

My request was to have rooms beside each other, but we did not get it.And one of the rooms was supposed to be 2 single beds and it was double bed,so my adult children had to sleep in one bed,wasn't too comfortable..

Loved the location and the room was super cute. My 11 year old loved the private nook with the single bed.

No one was there to check us out at 9am. We ended up leaving our key at the desk. Hope that was ok!

Location was very good as I was working about 10km away. I have stayed in the premises many times before and it is always very good in all aspects.

It's easy to miss, there's no sign outside to identify the place. The reception used to be in the restaurant but now it's in a different building, the house itself. This was a bit confusing at first until we asked in the restaurant.

The bathroom was large with a separate shower and bath. Fridge, kettle and sink made it comfortable for making hot beverages and the seating area was comfortable.

The maintenance on the property could be improved and it let down the overall appeal. For example 3 lights didn’t work and were reported. Also large cracks and mild above the shower.

It was very cozy

The rooms are spacious and very clean and with everything you need. But the kindness of the staff is the best here! We loved the terras we had with the nice hanging chair.

I booked Heather House on short notice and everything worked out perfectly. You have your own appartment with fridge with free coffee and tea available. A very good eakfast can be had in the restaurant next door. It lookee like the apartment would be next to the main road on the map, but it was next to a pretty secluded and quiet garden

Heather House is in an excellent location in the village of Laragh and is about 2km from the Glendalough monastic site. There's plenty of free car parking, a convenience store just across the road, the Wild Wicklow Heather restaurant virtually next door and Lynam's pub just a couple of hundred metres away. Our room, no.10, was large and well decorated with dark wooden flooring and furniture, and decor in neutral tones. Everything was spotless and in very good repair, and there was plenty of storage space. In-room facilities included a coffee maker, an electric kettle, a sink and a full-size fridge. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were replenished daily. The bed was extremely comfortable and, surrounded by peaceful silence, we slept very well. The shower room was immaculate, spacious and looked newly decorated. The walk-in shower was very roomy and there was plenty of hot water with fresh fluffy white towels provided each day of our stay. Our room was at the rear of the property and we loved that we had our own front door, a furnished terrace and views over the garden surrounding countryside. Check in was quick and easy, and a friendly staff member brought us right to our room. On departure, we were invited to just leave the key in the room when we were ready to leave. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heather House and hope to return before too long.

Just a small thing but it would be nice to have proper ceramic cups/mugs in the room rather than paper cups.
