Located in the heart of Honfleur’s busy basin area the apartment can be noisy from outdoor diners at night and street sweepers in the morning, but the harbor breezes flow through the apartment and the view is fantastic. The windows are pretty sound proof when closed. The host went out of her way to ensure we were cool during the heat wave and was generous and in touch regularly. The apartment has all you could wish for and is stocked with every possible amenity. A terrific jumping off place to explore Lower Normandy (highly recommend Rouen and surrounding small scenic towns) or just hang out and enjoy Honfleur itself!

A compact little flat in a special town. The changing light over the harbour was endlessly changing and beautiful . It was very kind of Nathalie to contact us about the fishing boats selling their fresh catch . Coquilles Saint Jacques home cooked was fantastic.

We loved our stay here. The flat has a wonderful view over the harbour and is close to all the attractions in the old city. It is an ideal location. Nathalie is a thoughtful host. The amenities she provides made it very easy and comfortable for us. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was genously equipped with quality items, and the sheets and towels were also good quality. We travel a lot and we would rate this accommodation very highly.

Three things stand out: 1) Outstanding host. Nathalie could not have been nicer, more helpful or accommodating. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with her. She went out of her way to make the apartment feel special, such as fresh flowers and chocolates. Other hosts we've met, or who were incognito, could learn a few things from Nathalie. 2) Location. Honfleur is the perfect small town on the coast if the English Channel. Others towns are mentioned as good places to explore the WWII beaches, but while Honfleur is not the closest, we visited the other recommended places and I'm glad we chose to stay there. It's attractive and compact. Plenty of tourist-type restaurants, many of the them quite good, or you can visit the local butcher or fish merchant, all within walking distance, and cook for yourself. 3) The apartment. Yes, much like just about every other apartment in France, access is up a spiral staircase. But as staircases go, it's not bad. My wife and I are both in our 60s and we were not challenged. Still, I know it can be an issue for some people. Beyond that, the apartment is very comfortable and relaxing. Open, airy, with out-of-the-park views of the harbor - just the kind of place you want to come back to after a day a sight seeing. During our five-week stay in France, Nathalie and this apartment are at the top of the list of our experiences. So, the next time we're in Normandy, this is where we'll stay.

Me and my partner had a wonderful time in Honfleur, which was made all the better by the great location and view from this apartment. Everything was as described and we received a warm welcome from the owner Nathalie, who even took us to a nearby, free car park so we had somewhere safe to park and brought us back so that we didn't have to carry our luggage. Overall, a perfect place that suited our needs.

We were a senior couple from USA & stayed at this apartment for a week. It was the best experience of our 3 week trip to France! Its hard to imagine a better location in beautiful Honfluer - right in the middle of the action with eye popping views of the harbor and a charcuterie, patiseries, boulangerie, wine/cheese shop, and more, just steps away, and yet the apartment was not the least bit noisy. Comfortable furniture and bedding, super hot shower, hot towel rack, and the perfect size for 2. If you want to cook, everything is close by and, because Nathalie is a cook herself, the kitchen is very well equipped. We didn't have to buy any spices, oils or paper products during our stay. She even supplied the coffee. Nathalie is so helpful and accomodating you'll think you're staying at a freind's place. With tons of restaurants, shops, galleries, and fascinating people, Honfluer has to be the very best spot to use as a base to fascinating Normandy, France. One word of caution, the apartment requires a hike up 40 narrow steps. (We used them to "earn" our daily ice cream fix) Did I mention the apartment is over an ice cream shop? Oh, my - you MUST do this!

We've just returned from a week in the apartment and it was everything that that the description had promised. The apartment itself was extremely comfortable, well-appointed and spotlessly clean, and the location was brilliant. (It was humbling to be able to look out of the window to see the views over the harbour that draw so many painters and photographers to visit Honfleur.) Nathalie was a helpful, supportive, and unobtrusive host, and communicated extremely well, before and during our stay. All the local residents and shopkeepers we met seemed to be very friendly, and although the area around the apartment is teeming with restaurants, the apartment itself was lovely and quiet. (As an observation, the restaurants around the harbour itself seemed to be a little bit too "touristy", but there were plenty of better alternatives in the town itself, and we particularly enjoyed a couple of meals at the Relais des Cyclists.) We can thoroughly recommend this apartment!

I kept taking photos of the harbor. You'd think five or ten might be enough but no, the light kept changing. And the water's reflection of the light. And the carousel over on the corner and the boats leaving and the boats coming and the people watching and... well. You know. After a while I stopped trying to take photos and just sat next to the open window. I see why artists fell in love with this place. The apartment is small but well laid out. The kitchen had everything one needed to prep good, local food. The stairs are appropriate for a building of it's century which is to say watch your head and your step but very much part of the charm. The WiFi was out of sorts when we arrived but our host made sure it was working before she left. The apartment overlooks the main road through town so it can be a bit noisy in the summer weekend evenings but everyone settles down soon enough. This was a perfect place to experience the light and the deep history of Honfleur. We were glad we came.

Wow...If you love to people watch this really is the place for you! From the lounge windows you can see the whole of the Harbour and have a far better view than any of the quayside restaurants. Honfleur really is a charming place and Nathalie the apartment owner is really keen to ensure that you make the most of your stay, giving us lots of information and ideas for extra places to add to our itinerary. During our stay, unfortunately the washing machine broke down. The very next day Nathalie had a new one purchased and installed..now that's what I call great service. The stairs are quite steep, but you do get used to them if you are reasonably fit they shouldn't be a problem and they are after all part of what add to the charm of the wonderful historic building that the apartment is in. Nathalie was also exceptionally kind helping me with some family research that I was doing....Thank you for making our stay in Honfleur so memorable.

From start to finish, we have been so impressed with everything relating to our holiday in Honfleur. Nathalie keep us up to date with all the paperwork and the communication was appreciated and helpful. The property was just perfect for the two of us and the views just stunning. Used the car only once to visit Bayuex as everything you could ever need is on the doorstep. There are 43 steps up a spiral staircase which some might find challenging. That said property and surrounding area was just perfect. Our grateful thanks to Nathalie for all her help and kindness. Would definitely recommend the apartment and will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful week in Honfleur staying in Nathalie's charming little flat. It has everything you could want for a holiday stay - we lacked nothing! The flat overlooks le vieux basin and it's fascinating just to be able to sit at the window and people watch. The flat is in a very old building and wouldn't be suitable for the elderly or infirm as it's up two flights of narrow stairs. This didn't worry us at all, it's all part of the charm. Free parking is available a short distance away and you can park just outside when you're unloading and loading but we didn't bother as it wasn't too far to walk. The flat is clean and well maintained and really does have everything you need. Nathalie was there to meet us and was very helpful. The area is beautiful. Honfleur has a lively atmosphere and we ate out several times, Hippocampe was perhaps the best restaurant we tried but all were good and very reasonable. If you have a car, the Normandy landing beaches are an hour or so away, Etretat is well worth a visit too as are Trouville and Deauville. I'd recommend the flat and the area.

My wife and I drove to Honfleur on the day of our arrival in France. The landlord, Nathalie, met us and helped with our luggage up the three flights of narrow stairs. She also helped on the day of departure, and returned our security deposit the same day. The view of the harbor from our third floor appartment in a 17th century building was beautiful and everchanging with the life of the city and harbor before us. Nathalie recommended shops and restaurants and sights to see, and she provided literature to enhance our exploration of Normandy. Two vases of fresh flowers and bottles of red and white greeted us along with a well supplied kitchen if we wanted to cook. The excellent restaurants in Honfleur saved us from cooking dinners. The one across the street we liked so much that we ate there twice. We enjoyed the wooden church built by the boat builders of Honfleur and the Eric Satie Museum. We stayed a week and explored the town and the sights of Normandy every day. Free parking was a short walk away and Nathalie showed us to the lot. We would have no hesitation in recommending this vacation highlight.
