Four of us traveled to Austin for a girls’ weekend. The Ramp House was the perfect place to stay! It is in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to South Congress restaurants and shops, and a short Uber ride downtown. Plenty of places to gather in the home, as well as spread out for privacy. (Other reviews mention the 3rd bedroom does not have a solid wall, but a thick curtain - this room is tucked away at the end of the hall away from the other bedrooms, so more private than expected and worked well for us.) The kitchen amenities are beyond what any of us have ever experienced in a VRBO home! Simply amazing! Communication with hosts and property management was great, including a comprehensive “house guide” with many local restaurant recommendations. The architecture of the house is a real work of art! As stated in the house guide, "The central feature of the Ramp House - the ramp itself - is a study in time and movement, designed to help us slow down from our busy modern lives, enticing us to stroll and be tempted by the books and art on the shelves." How true this is - each time we "strolled" up or down the ramp, we were noticing something new on the shelf. Highly recommend the Ramp House for your stay in Austin!

We stayed in the Ramp House for my niece’s wedding. The house is lovely, quiet, and has all the bells and whistles for a great visit (Breville espresso machine, awesome pinball machine). We will stay there again!

We were visiting Austin for Austin City Limits. 6 couples and the house was perfect for us! The property had the coolest little touches. Our party split coming home one night and when I arrived we were waiting outside the gate for someone to come down and let us in, and the neighbor across the street came out and threatened to call the police on us. We were doing absolutely nothing wrong and as parents who come from respectful neighborhoods we were being very respectful ourselves. I guess she thought we were attempting to break in, but it was very undignified on her part. You may want to just leave the key in the lockbox if your party is separated. However, I think she may have threatened us even if we were just attempting to get the key. It was a shame, because every other aspect of our stay was absolutely amazing! The property is absolutely amazing.

We held a mother-daughter trip in this house and are walking away with the best memories! The hosts were fantastic communicators. The house is absolutely amazing and worth every penny. The location is within walking distance of several fabulous eateries and a short drive from many Austin sites. It was hard to coax ourselves out of the house though because of its charm and comfort. I highly recommend the Ramp House for your stay!

Great architectural home, and nice alternative to staying at a hotel. Easy walk to South Congress.

We chose this house due to the unique architecture and loved all of the finishings! We had a great time and loved how easily you could access restaurants/stores from our location! Truly a fun place to stay! We didn't read previous reviews close enough and discovered that the third bedroom wasn't truly a closed in space (closed off by curtain; still allowing for limited protection from house noise and light from a security light that was shining in from the second floor). The only other minor complaints were that the primary bedroom with a sliding door wasn't able to close fully - (but already mentioned that to the super responsive and friendly House Manager Emma), the shower set up in the primary bathroom was a bit cumbersome but still quite useable and that the closet space in the front bedroom could've been a little better of a set up. Definitely a strong recommendation, the owner and house managers were quick to respond to any questions. We will be looking to stay in other unique architectural places going forward b/c of this one!

This place is absolutely stunning! Such a fun house. All 3 rooms are on the ground floor with the living areas upstairs. The 3rd bedroom just has a heavy curtain for the 4th wall - Just FYI. We were not able to tell that from the pics and were surprised. The decor and attention to detail are spot on. The location is exactly where you want to be. The rooftop and back patio are so fun! Highly recommend this house!

We spent 2 nights with friends at this property and really enjoyed the stay! This is not your typical house rental with ramps instead of stairs. Awesome rooftop to catchup with friends. All the amenities were top notch. Check-in and out were very smoot. The house manager nearby was extremely friendly and responsive. Strong Recommendation!

We absolutely loved our stay at the ramp house - probably the coolest place I've ever stayed! The home is so creative, modern, and unique. It was also the best stocked rental home we have ever stayed in (literally every kitchen appliance we could ever need). The property managers were extremely helpful as well and made sure we had everything we needed. The only note is that the 3rd bedroom is not behind a separate door, but behind a curtain. It was not an issue because the curtain blocks it off and it is a great space. But, a heads up in case you are looking for more privacy!

What a trip at the Ramp House! We celebrated Christmas in a work of art and had the best time exploring three amazing stories connected by ramps instead of stairs. Very comfortable, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathroom home with bright, airy spaces offering plenty of room for our family to relax and enjoy this art piece of a home. Lighting, décor, amenities make this one of the best homes to stay! Excellent location within walking distance to South Congress and Mattie's Green Pastures for events and fine dining with roaming peacocks. What an incredible experience! Ramp House is comfortable, fun and smart. We loved the kitchen-gathering space; it’s inviting and beautifully furnished. When I looked for a quiet place to read I was also easily indulged, as there are several sitting nooks inside, and outdoor spaces to spare. You can even read or lose a moment or two as you sneak up and down the ramp. Every detail of the house is a design treat, as many of the reviews express. The only problem with the Ramp House is that you won’t want to leave it, so you might not get to all the Austiny places in your list. If you do manage to step out the door, there’s easy walking up and down first street and South Congress all the way to the Bridge. A range of restaurants—from terrific food trucks to top-rated cuisine spots—are within walking distance, as well as iconic shops and landmarks. The neighborhood itself is quiet, walking-friendly, and obviously trying to compete with Ramp House in architectural flare. Check-in and check-out were super easy; the owner and manager are very accessible. Cheers—great place.

This property was perfect! It had everything we needed for a great family gathering! There was plenty room for us to be together and space if we needed some alone time. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals but the location is awesome if you want to eat out - lots of options. The neighborhood is safe,quiet and adorable. House is less than 15 minutes from the airport and less than 10 minutes to downtown. South Congress street and wonderful shopping is well with walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Ramp House!

Ramp House is in a great location. Safe neighborhood. Impressed with the cleanliness of the house and the secured fenced in yard. Visited Austin for the first time to attend a wedding. Would not hesitate to rent this property again.

The photos don’t do it justice. The house is gorgeous and comfortable. The kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen I’ve seen yet in a VRBO. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

The home was beautiful and very interesting architecture. The attention given to the furnishings was also excellent with a great look and interesting variety. The pinball machine was a blast and the neighborhood was very nice. Good location in a quiet neighborhood close to most things.

The Ramp house is situated in a perfect quiet neighborhood walkable to to everything we wanted to visit!I loved waking up in the morning and heading to the rooftop deck to enjoy coffee amongst a tree canopy and beautiful sunrise. The house includes a state of the art espresso machine to make your mornings easy.The home itself is a work of art, exceptionally clean with an industrial feel but very warm at the same time. Opening up two gigantic walls of glass that brings you to a private courtyard is another fantastic area to hangout not quite like any other living situation I've seen.We also spent a good amount of time competing over the high scores on the Monster Bash pinball machine available, our son racked up 105mil, so, try to beat that if you can haha!I would agree that this property is not ideal for young children since the 3 level open concept could be dangerous for kids under 12, not to mention the beautiful art and craftsmanship could potentially be easily damaged with little ones.The owners and manager Amnon, Billy and Elizabeth were all helpful and prompt to respond with our questions during check in and check out and delightful individuals. Everything in the house worked correctly and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay and cant wait to return!
