We were warmly welcomed and shown the property including our downstairs accommodation, the outside area with a beautiful water view and the organic farm across the road. While there was no stove or oven, a very small living room area and a small shower, the owners had a completely stocked kitchen and bathroom. Because it was a downstairs unit and close to the road there was some noise but that was understandable and caused us little problems. Aside from that and that the single bed in the smaller bed was uncomfortable, the stay was a pleasant one.

Meeting the owners is different but we liked them, easy to get along with. My kids were given an extensive tour of their working farm, they liked that. As the photos show, it is one hell of a view off the patio. well maintained and cared for property. The easy trails at Deception Pass State Park were great, go early or later in the day to get the most solitude. We liked this area of Washington, would visit again.

Nice place to stay, location was great for attending wedding at Deception Pass State Park. Backyard view of San Juan Islands was stunning. Kitchen was roomy with excellent light. Mattress in master bedroom was very comfortable.

Bunk beds were great for our toddler. Close to Deception Pass and the ferry. Back patio is beautiful and owners are very friendly. Keep in mind that the patio is shared with the owners and guests of the adjacent cottage, not your own private space.

The house is rated for 6 people, which it can sleep, but the layout is cramped and awkward, especially since you get to the kids rooms through the bathroom. It advertises laundry facilities, but the washer was not working. Also, the heating is simply space heaters in each room.

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It’s on the lower level of a house that is on a bluff overlooking Puget Sound. The apartment was clean and in good shape. There is a washer and dryer, but no dishwasher, and the cooking surface is two very good hot plates rather than a full stove. The only thing we didn’t like was the layout because you have to go through the bathroom to get to the second bedroom, but that wasn’t a big problem for us. I would definitely recommend this apartment, especially if you’re on a budget.

We just went for a quick overnight stay, it suited us just fine. Owners live above and were tgere.

Read the listing from the friendly owners very carefully. It's a 2-bedroom basement. It's well appointed & cozy with 3-4 people, would be crowded with more. Listed at a reasonable rate, but fees (including pet fee) & tax took the total cost up nearly 40%. View from backyard is indescribably amazing; barely visible from inside. 10 minutes from downtown Anacortes, 10 from Bowman Bay State Park, 20 to Deception Pass. No stove/oven in the kitchen, but dual hot plates were easy to cook on. Spice cupboard stocked with basics, tea & coffee.

It was perfect for a one night stay to be close to ferry. Clean and very cozy

The view is incredible. We look forward to coming back for a longer stay in warmer weather so we can enjoy it even more!

What was really nice is how clean and nice comfy things in the house. What was disappointing was the beautiful sea view was visible only while standing in the kitchen. No privacy while outside. I read the reviews and thought I would be okay with the noise upstairs. But could not sleep until they went to bed and was wakened when they got up. The owner are busy people. Up late and up early. I hate having to watch every footstep while walking outside. This is needed as owners have a dog. We stayed under the house and there is another rental space in the garage. I felt it was overpriced for what you get.

My friend and I stayed here and loved it. Shyni came down to meet us when we arrived (she and her husband live on the second floor) and was very friendly. She even set out wine and cheese for us to watch the sunset in her lovely backyard. You are just 10 minutes from downtown Anacortes and very close to Deception Pass. The property is right on the water so the views are beautiful. Would definitely recommend this spot.

The view was breath taking. A convenient place to stay for a whale watch excursion. The organic market across the street was a treat too. We stayed in the basement apartment and the owners (upstairs) were very considerate and quiet.

The VRBO is pet friendly, which we appreciated, but it is located right next to a very busy road without a fence or gate to keep our dog from running into the road. The back yard had a fence, but was missing some slats. Next to the fence is a steep high cliff that drops off into the ocean. Any adventurous small dog could go through the gaps, down the cliff. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay very much in this quiet secluded getaway.

Kids had a blast with feeding Chickens, patting bunnies, and cooking/eating fresh egg breakfast!!! Deception pass, is just a quick drive away!

Unit was clean, furniture and beds were very nice and comfortable. This is a basement unit making it dark under the overhanging deck. As there is a family of at least 4 upstairs, the unit was noisy with the sump pump going, flushing toilets and children playing. Beautiful view from the backyard. Great location!

A+++ vrbo from when we booked to when we left. Place is very clean with complete amenities, gives off a positive vibe and has a spectacular sea view for the much needed respite. The hosts provide a very clean, pet-friendly property just minutes from Anacortes and Deception Pass.

The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. The unit we stayed in is below the owner’s home. Upon arrival she said that her next project will be to sound proof the ceiling. That will be nice for her guests and also them. We ordered the East Indian Breakfast which the owner (a chef) prepared and it was very good.

The place was breathtaking the view of the sunset on the sound was beautiful the property was kept nice an clean the owner was respectful an they were the only one I could find that allowed children in the area the only thing was they were up late cleaning and moving stuff around above my room it didn’t bother me to bad but for price I did a little it was stocked with tea and coffee an herbed an spices I was grateful for the laundry soap cleaning supplies we all injoyed ourselves

Host Wife was extremely kind and gracious. Property was very clean and setup for short stays. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who needs local accommodations (comfortable beds). I would suggest to invest in a new sofa for living room as it is not the most comfortable to sit and watch TV. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this may not be the right property, unless you are only there to get to nearby beaches, parks, etc. Location is perfect for a short drive to local parks/beaches. However being that it is a basement unit, there was substantial noise which came from owners living in main home upstairs, which was included in detail. While we expected some noises, we didn't think it would be as late as 12am, and as early as 5-6am. Would suggest owners follow some kind of "quiet hours" so that guests can really rest, rejuvenate, and relax. Lastly it was a bit disheartening that owner wanted to charge for excessive use of laundry detergent. When checking in were told we were welcome to use washer/dryer and never mentioned that we would be charged for laundry detergent. We did 3 VERY small loads while there, using regular detergent amount. In the end we called it even as we overpaid for 1 additional person to stay in house, but again I would suggest to owners to either post signage about use of detergent, or not offer any at all.

The sea view was excellent. The unit was clean and well stocked. We were offered to purchase an authentic Indian meal and fresh foods. It was perfect for our family.

We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed a couple of spectacular sunsets. We were also offered a menu to look over after confirming our reservations so we enjoyed a traditional East Indian breakfast which was absolutely delicious. Michael & Shyni were especially accommodating for the sake of our furry friend Toby.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Lots of amenities and the view was a big perk. We got home each evening in time for sunset from the patio. It was cozy. Some road noise during the day but quieted down during the evening. Owners were very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone looking to stay with all the accommodations of a full rental home.
