Our group of 6 enjoyed staying here very much. We especially enjoyed the living room, dining and kitchen areas. The 2 regular bedrooms were very comfortable. We loved the kayaks and our chance nature encounters with deer and wild Turkey. The bunk room is obviously meant for kids and we did not find that room comfortable and functional as an adult. This could be changed by some simple additions including mattress pads on the beds, improved comforters or blankets, a side table by each bunk, and some kind of dresser or side table to put your bath items on. Literally invest $200 and this could be fixed. Also, the outdoor furniture is similar and not very comfortable. Just needs a slight upgrade and the area would be so much more enjoyable. Overall though, very enjoyable!

THE HOUSE & LOCATION WERE GREAT. VERY QUIET & RELAXING. FROM THE BACK DECK WE SAW MANATEES, DOLPHIN, OTTERS & SQUIRLS, WHICH MY GRANDDAUGHTER LOVED FEEDING. OUT THE FRONT DOOR, WE HAD DEER, TURKEYS & RABBITS. GRANDDAUGHTER'S FAVORITE, THE BUNK BEDS. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR PIECE OF PARADISE.

Amy was very accommodating and helpful during our short stay. The location was perfect to kayak up to the headspring and float back down to the house. We saw manatee every day during our stay. We also saw deer, turkey, an owl, turtles and so many fish while sitting on the deck. The kids got so much use out of the rope swing. It was very a very peaceful stay. The only thing I would warn about is that you will want to bring extra paper products and cleaning supplies. There was very little toilet paper provided and I never did find any dishwasher soap. I had read previous comments in the reviews about this though so we came prepared with all we needed. It is also worth pointing out that this house has a bit of a "fun house" effect with the sloped floors everywhere. It is not fancy inside, but it was comfortable and the river truly is as beautiful as it appears in the photos! We were outside most of the time anyway so it was the perfect place for us to stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Think the overall experience was great, but some of the pictures did not represent what was actually on-site (patio furniture, grill, etc.). But this did not diminish desire to return. A truelly beautiful setting and house.

We had an amazing time. We had manatee swim right up to the dock.

The location of this house was incredible! Great communication, flexibility and an easy process. Thank you for such a memorable trip with our family!

The house was wonderful. We loved having kayaks available.

It was a great vacation!

We loved staying at this home on the Weeki Wachee River! The water is crystal clear, the area is quiet and relaxing and there is wildlife everywhere. We saw manatee swim by the dock and had daily visits from deer, squirrels, birds and Turkey!

This home is truly in the most magical location : the gorgeous river in the backyard and a wildlife preserve in the front. We loved seeing the manatee, deer, owls, turkeys, turtles, and bunnies! This part of the river is much quieter than other locations we've stayed; which is nice. The kids in our group enjoyed the rope swing into the river. The included kayaks were a big plus - we even borrowed a few from the neighbor!
My family [a group of 10] thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house is spacious and comfortable for a big group. The decor is beautiful and the house is well stocked with all the kitchen essentials. I will note, in the spirit of honest reviews : if you are in to luxury, this may not be the house for you. The bathrooms could really use a good cleaning; the floors are unlevel up and down through the house; the patio furniture is deteriorating and the lounge chairs were missing; the grill pictured was not available [but there was a small charcoal grill], the washer and dryer barely work; and the bunk mattresses are not fit for adults.
That being said - the reason for our visit was obviously the river; the location and scenery did not disappoint!! I would definitely recommend this house especially if they make a few minor upgrades. :-)
Thanks for the awesome week with my extended family. 8 people in the group were first timers and now they're in love ❤️

BOOK THIS HOUSE NOW!!!
This is our 2nd time staying at these homes. We rent out both houses between 4 families. It is absolutely the most magical place. Our kids have the best time and the adults too! If you want a place that will allow you to have a the best week of your year....then look no further. The house is in the PERFECT LOCATION for this river.
Great house + Great location = BEST WEEK EVER!

Can't wait to come back.
Great quite place to stay, who needs the beach when you have the beautiful river in your backyard!

A very lucky find!
We checked in here mid week after we had to vacate our other Weeki Wachee vrbo due to major issues. Amy was quick to communicate and lined up cleaning of the property quickly so we could check in early. Everything was exactly as pictured and we had everything we needed. Our only complaint was the washing machine, it had a hard time completing the cycle. We can’t wait to go back and feel very lucky that this property was magically available during Spring Break!

Amazing location
We’ve never been to Weeki Wachee springs before and we got so lucky staying here. The location can’t be beat and all the neighbors are nice and friendly. We loved kayaking up and down the river with the kayaks provided at the rental. We saw a manatee swim by the house and numerous turtles and interesting fish. My kids loved jumping into the river from the rope swing. The current is pretty strong so life vests are highly recommended for kids. The rental itself is clean and fully stocked with everything we needed even board games. We really want to come back during manatee season next time!

A beautiful and secluded riverfront home.
The house is exactly as described…very spacious and comfortable bedrooms and living areas. The house is all one level with no stairs, so parking and bringing things in is very easy. The river is clear and surrounded by a preserve so it is very quiet … The kayaks are a great way to explore and enjoy the river, and it is a lovely view from the wonderful deck… very peaceful. Amy is a lovely host and it was a pleasure to stay at her beautiful waterfront house.

We loved this oasis and will be back for sure! Enjoyed kayaking, taking dips in the river, and relaxing on the deck. Everything was very comfortable and well kept. Also lovely to explore "old Florida" in the surrounding area!

A little hidden gem!
We came to FL looking for something different than a beach vacation, and this place did NOT disappoint! We spent 2 days just kayaking up and down the Weeki Wachi and the scenery never got old. One of my favorite places in FL, we would definitely return!

An Absolute Gem!
A truly wonderful time was had. We all felt so lucky to have found such a gorgeous spot on the spring river.
The house was perfect with comfy beds and all we needed in the kitchen.
As for the outside space, you can never bore of the view that this house has, it’s quite simply stunning! The crystal clear water and abundance of wildlife was ours to enjoy.
Having the kayaks right there was super. We felt like proper adventurers!
All-in-all, we loved it and were very glad to have chosen both the Weeki Wachee area and this house in-particular for our first trip back to the States since pre-pandemic times.
Thank you Amy!

the ONLY place to stay on Weeki Wachee River
This amazing property is in the premier location on the Weeki Wachee River and truly the only and best place to stay. My mother, sister, boyfriend and I stayed here. We rented another house further down river off one of the canals for my two sons who were bringing their dog. While the other location was nice and the canals were clean - the water further down in tannic and there is a lot more motorboat and kayak traffic.
This house is in a small, very private neighborhood that is extremely quiet - so peaceful in fact that deer and turkeys graze in the lawn and obviously feel very safe and at home. The deck cantilevers out over the river and you can literally look down and watch the fish and manatee. This section of the river is crystal clear and has little traffic. If you rent kayaks at the state park the take out point is further up river and Roger's Park (a popular place for put in/take out) is about 2.5 miles downriver.
The house itself is very tastefully appointed with comfortable beds and spacious closets. We loved how many windows overlook the water- many times I spotted a manatee while at the kitchen sink!
We celebrated an early Thanksgiving at the house and did more cooking than I had originally planned. We did not have any major issues with either the appliances or the pots/pans/utensils etc. There is an ice maker and it works great!
As for bringing items - I knew about the paper products so we did pack trash bags, ziplock bags, paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, dishwasher detergent pods, laundry pods and bath soap. I forgot coffee filters and was relieved to find some in the drawer under the oven. I wish there had been saran wrap and aluminum foil.
We ate at Becky Jack's Seafood Shack and the Silver Dolphin - both of which were excellent both in food quality and service. Don't miss the mermaid shows - there are two a day and we loved them both. Thanks to another review, we knew about going up to Pine Island and it really is a magnificent spot to watch the sunset!
If you are adventurous and like to paddle other rivers I would recommend the 20 minute drive north on Hwy 19 to the Chassahowitzka River. It is so quintessential Old Florida! Just north of there is Homassasa Springs State Park with a wonderful boardwalk and underwater observatory.
We are all native Floridians and chose this house and Weeki Wachee because we have never really explored that area. There is no doubt we will be going back!

You won't want to leave!
The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The outside patio area was amazing. The river was so peaceful! Being perfectly hidden away kept it quiet and serene. Loved seeing the deer and turkeys every day we were there! We definitely enjoyed ourselves and plan to come back soon! Any question I had- Amy answered right away! Thank you Amy!!

Overall we had a great stay here. The house and property look a bit more dingey than the pictures but it is a lakehouse afterall. The kitchen could use some help. The oven is about 100 years old and the stove takes forever to heat. There is very little you won't have to buy. Things like extra toilet paper, trash bags, etc. are not included. But it was all worth it for the view and peace on the river. So much to do and see and it's so serene. We would frequent this place over and over again if it weren't for the fact that we got hit with a hefty fee after checkout because we had turned some white towels slightly pink in the washer. When I saw this, I threw one in with our white load and used bleach. Took it right out. When I saw the fee I contacted the owner and kindly told her bleach takes it out in one wash. She scolded me for having the nerve to suggest bleach when she had been kind enough to extend our checkout time. According to her, that extra time should've been spent bleaching towels. And maybe we should have. Hwever in my mind, I figured any competent person would know to use bleach. If I thought otherwise I obviously would've washed them myself, we just ran out of time. I explained to the owner several times bleach is all it takes to which she finally replied "I don't do the cleaning."
So maybe tell your cleaning lady! Lol. I couldn't believe someone can just charge you for 3 towels because they're too lazy to wash them. Lesson learned on my part - don't assume people know how to do laundry. I had heard from friends who stayed there that the owner can be unreasonable so I guess it wasn't a total surprise. It's worth noting that especially because she gave us a late checkout, we left the house in tip top shape, which we would've done regardless. We aren't careless people who trash the place. Just didn't realize bleach was the make or break. Anyway, if you visit this house you will have a wonderful time. Just beware you may be charged for some extra stuff at the end. And you should probably bring your own towels.

Relaxing and Fun
We had a blast staying here. The house is very clean. It took the AC a bit to get going day one, but we had no problems with it after that. You really cannot beat the location. We brought our one year old son, and I will warn anyone who is bringing little ones that there isn’t a fence or anything and the current is super strong so be extra extra careful. We bought a little leash pack back for him to keep him safe. But we loved it all and would love to come back.

The perfect Weeki Wachee rental home
Nothing is more relaxing then sipping your morning coffee, over looking the crystal clear river on the large waterfront dock. This place was amazing. Spacious, clean and inviting. We had fun swimming and kayaking all day. Swinging from the rope off the dock into the deep clean cool water was awesome. We saw deer, turkey and manatee! Highly recommend staying here anytime of the year!

This was such relaxing place on the river! We rented this house with my family and my cousins family and the house next door was rented by our best friends and their family. We loved that we were able to walk back and forth between the properties easily. Both houses are beautifully decorated and modern. It was very clean when we arrived. It was great having three full bathrooms and the kids loved all staying in the bunk room together where they had fun playing with the fooseball table and they had their own bathroom which was a plus! They also found lots of games in the one cabinet and played cards and monopoly at night. There was plenty of room for everybody in the house. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to cook with and serve our meals.
We all loved seeing all of the wildlife at the house everyday. There were turkeys, deer, birds, huge schools of mullet and manatees. We were lucky to see manatee every day we were there swim up and down the river. The water is crystal clear and the house is situated at a great spot on the river. We have stayed down river before and this is by far so much better! We all loved the use of the kayaks and had so much fun exploring the river together. The kids especially loved jumping off the deck into the river and using the rope swing. They were in the water almost non-stop. The adults loved relaxing on the deck and watching all of the kayakers, boaters and paddle boarders. It was fun to talk with people as they were going up and down the river.
Lots of stores and grocery stores are close by. There are also many restaurants nearby especially in Hernando Beach. Beckys Seafood Shack is really close to the house and they have amazing food. The Silver Dolphin in Hernando Beach has great breakfast and you get to eat outside in their beautiful gardens along the water.
We visited Pine Island beach which is 10 minutes away. It is a great place to relax and the water is nice and shallow for little kids too.
You can literally stay at the house all week and have the most relaxing and best time!
Thank You Amy for sharing your beautiful houses with all of us!
