Beautiful location and very good breakfast. The staff was friendly and the room comfortable. We did not use the pool but it looked very nice.

beautiful, with lovely grounds and helpful staff. if you have a car you can take incredible side trips. don’t miss the wine tasting at Fattoria al Dotto. incredible views, insanely great wine and for 25 euros an amazing 4 course meal with 4 wines (or 6 wines and 6 courses for 30) with an amazingly friendly owner. I have never been to a better wine tasting. and it is just 4 miles from the property.

you must have a car. biking into town is harrowing on a very busy road with almost no shoulder until you get close to town where’s there is a bike lane

We did not like having a handicap room. The air conditioning did not work. We could not keep the window open as there were controlled fires in the area. Smoke bothers my wife.

Beautiful Villa. Our room was lovely - a good size with en suite, twin beds and a balcony overlooking the gorgeous tree lined approach and superb Tuscan countryside. The pool area at the rear of the Villa was lovely and we had breakfast a few mornings sitting on the patio out front of the Villa. Nothing was too much trouble for Chiara who was so helpful when we were organising taxis and train trips to Lucca, Pisa and Florence.

We decided on this Villa for its location and beauty but wondered whether a more central accommodation maybe in Florence may have been easier with regards to travelling to the sights. However, the beautiful and peaceful location meant Villa Cheli was the right decision. Some taxis were much more expensive than others.

Basic but comfortable rooms. Superb grounds, pool and restauant.

The house, pool and restaurant were very nice looking. The pool is big enough for all the guests and all sorts of people were here. The restaurant was very nice and the breakfast buffet contained very much choice. The staff was very polite and nice as well.

The room and furniture was a bit old looking, which was just not my taste.

restaurant - bland, uninspired and pricey. Wait staff were great and I felt bad that they were having to listen to complaint after complaint.

We stayed here for a wedding. Beautiful landscape. Nice pool. good coffee selection at breakfast. closely located to the town of Lucca and Siena. Not too expensive.

the air conditioning did not work great. be prepared to be hot, especially during the summer months. this is unfortunately the case for a lot of rooms at the hotel. however during the month of May, it was still relatively cool, so sleeping was bearable even without air conditioning.
