Clean place and good location. Good value for money

People were loud at night and there were no staff to turn to.

Absolutely nothing.!

Came there and waited longer than hour for someone to pick up the phone because room key didn't work...Got new room... Spend 2 days in room where literally water was dropping from ceiling on bed and walls were all wet from moisture...Got new room... Stayed in third room for 3 days and decided to leave the place because absolutely nobody from staff was there for full 3 days so kitchen and other common area was disgusting... I was suppost to stay there 12 nights so I contacted menager or owner Valdimar and I told him that I can't stay there anymore because everything was ridiculous and I told him that he can't treat his guest's like animals but he was just so incredibly rude and disrespectful...Just part of conversation,he was telling me how for holidays no staff is working there and that is fine if place for tourists is 3 days without any cleaning...I just simply don't understand all that.Yea,almost 100 euro per night and ofcours no money back for 6 days which I stayed there in conditions like that or for rest 6 days after I left.Just incredible.! Still thinking about civil lawsuit because I can't belive that someone could be so irresponsible and treat guest's like animals,especially in Christmas time.

TOO MUCH NOISE FROM THE SCHOOL BOYS ON THE ABOVE FLOOR TILL 02.00 IN THE MORNING.

the room we asked was not the one we were given. we booked the double/twin bed but got a bigger room with 4 beds that wasn’t very cozy

Good location and easy to find. Plenty of parking slots, well equipped kitchen.

Provided towel was super small, more usefull for hands and not for shower. 1 shared shower was woth bad drainage, the other one with weak water stream.

The main annoying thing was that every night the people in our 8 people room were insanely loud and disrespectful. Technically this is not the hostel's fault. But during my last night I could AGAIN not sleep at all due to one person snoring insanely loud. Others could not sleep as well. After waking the person up, the same thing happened again. Even headphones and ear plugs could not cover the noise. So, since I had to get up at 3 in the morning to go to the airport, I called the hostel emergency number. I explained the entire situation and asked if I could get another room for these 3 hours. They said no or I would have to pay full price for the room. I offered to pay half price, but they refused to give me the room if I would not pay an extra full price. So, I got no sleep that night which was awful since I was travelling for the next 48 hours. Thanks for that.

Good value option

Lack of staff supervision (due to COVID) meant things weren't quite up to snuff... Kitchen facilities in need of attention & repair, and general level of cleanliness not what one normally expects in Iceland.

no front desk staff, barely any signage of where bathrooms and showers are, how to check out, etc. kitchen was ok, other guests were rude in my opinion-mixed dorm with several other beds close together. I spent two non consecutive nights there and it felt very male dominated. Lots of loud talking and doors slamming late at night and early in the morning despite quiet hours. One guy was there both nights snored so very loud all night so nobody really slept. I would not recommend for solo female travelers.
