The location, the shower pressure, the bed, the breakfast, the wifi , the host were all fabulous and we dont think you could improve on them

We would have felt more at home with more nodern decor. But we understand this is jeans home and dont think she should change any of it for guests.

I'm afraid I didn't stay here. And I felt bad for the host. I was a solo traveller, I had imagined this was close to the water and it was close to a road which is convenient if you were travelling by bus. There is no phone signal which worried me as a solo traveller, and not for nearly another mile away.just in case you chose to leave . I arrived to a cat walking past the property with a rat in its mouth. Small one. There is no view from the room. It's a dramatic setting . But you are better served in a car. There were no other guests staying there . They had cancelled. There are several houses next door and close by , there were some very excited and barking dogs in the windows in the house next door which I found off putting. I chose not to stay at the property. I think it would be a more inviting place to arrive at if the windows had been cleaned.

Fabulous location. Great walk up Helvellyn straight from the lodge without having to use the car. Friendly, chatty owner Nice, clean property

Breakfast wasn’t the best. Not a fan of tinned fruit salad, and was served inedible, cheap croissants. The toast on the plate was also lathered in butter, which I don’t like.
