Nice welcome from Frau Milde who lives in the same apartment block and a nice little welcome gift. Warm, cosy, first floor traditionally styled Bavarian apartment, less than 5 minutes walk from the train/bus station and a choice of good supermarkets. Good hallway with coat hanging and space for boots/bags and useful mirror. Living area has corner dining table/bench & chair seating and also a bed settee and armchair, TV. Good WiFi and Netflix. Very clean bathroom with toilet, basin, good mirror, bath and over bath shower and hairdryer. Clean compact kitchen with lovely views to the mountains. Comfortable beds in compact bedroom. Nice sunny balcony overlooking a garden between apartment blocks. Helpful guest information folder in German and English. Very good value for money. Loved how close it was to the pretty bridge over the river and miles of well signposted walking/cycle paths. Perfectly situated for our needs, for supermarket, bakery, ice rink, town, lake, cable cars etc.

It took us some time (when tired after a long day of travel) to find the property in the dark. It would have been easier to find in daylight. We struggled to work out how to open out the living room bed settee and make up the sofa bed so instructions would have helped (although we worked it out when we were less tired next day) Using the bed settee meant limited space in the living room and our daughter who was sleeping in there would have liked a wardrobe/cupboard to hang clothes rather than just a drawer and having to share the one wardrobe in our very small bedroom. Whilst the apartment overall was very clean, when we had to retrieve things that had fallen down the back of bedroom chests of drawers or under the bed, these areas had been missed in the cleaning. The kitchen has a good fridge, a hob, basic microwave and utensils, but we missed having an oven and grill, although there are plenty of lovely places to eat out nearby. Having said all that, it was such a handy location and such good value for money that we’d stay again.

The apartment is comfortable and well equipped with everything you’d need for a short stay, there’s supermarkets, a couple of bars and restaurants on the doorstep and the location is just 15-20mins walk to the centre of Berchtesgaden’s old town, with Lake Königssee just 5mins drive away too.

The location is perfect - very close to everything - to the bus station, railway station, a supermarket. The ladies who were in charge of the property were very helpful. The sound of the flowing mountain river was like a lullaby! It is a clean, safe, pleasant place with lots of kitchen utensils and comfortable beds!
