A charming cottage set in a a very peaceful garden. The owners are extremely helpful and ensure the cottage is well presented.

I liked the friendliness of our host, nothing was too much trouble. I also liked the complimentary wine and eggs and other goodies. The stone cottage was interesting and I like hearing the history of it.

The bed was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs which would not have been a problem when younger however as an older person that was a bit problematic.

A great location that is close to everything you want to see, surrounded by beautiful gardens and rural scenery with kangaroos on your door step. The house is amazing with great amenities and a very comfortable bed. The hosts Stephan & Karen are absolutely lovely and leave you with a feeling like you are part of the family. Very secluded romantic getaway that will not disappoint. Highly recommend .

We were met by the hosts and showed around the house and how to use heating etc. They were happy to share further information and recommendations about the local area. There was a quick guide to the house and stay, as well as a local map that guests had indicated good local wineries and attractions they had enjoyed.

I can’t speak highly enough of Stephan who welcomed us upon arrival and made sure we were fully looked after during our stay! The converted barn was in the perfect location to explore the Hunter Valley, gets a little cold during winter but there are plenty of heating options.

Our hosts were hosts from the minute we booked, before we even arrived. Stephan provided us with a stunning route/wine tour to the cabin that only a local would know. Once we arrived, we were enthusiastically greeted by Bluey, the host doggo, followed by Stephan. Both incredibly welcoming. The cabin itself is authentic, rustic, cozy and spacious. Roughing it without roughing it. The property is perfectly situated in the heart of Hunter Valley but not in the midst of bus tours and the masses. The property is stunning. The hosts are lovely people. Just go there and see for yourself!!! .

Stephan and Karen were the most splendid hosts. Welcome was very warm and we were made to feel right at home from the get-go. Relaxing and warm the house lacked for nothing. Privacy and facilities from wifi, fire and bbq! Kitchen facilities if you wanted to be self sufficient but plenty of options for meals outside - but book in advance! Fire pit under the stars with a glass of Pinotage was a special treat. We will definitely visit again.

This place is simply wonderful. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, the cottage/house is absolutely beautiful, the grounds and gardens are stunning, and love Bluey the dog! Exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back. Thank you Stephan and Karen for such a restful and peaceful weekend - couldn't of been better!!!

We would love to return to Thulanathi another season. Everything was just as we needed, and Stephan made us feel very welcome. A comfortable, cosy, relaxing spot in a great location.

The calm, the serenity, the comfort of a quaint home away from home. The walk around the property was superb, such stunning scenery and a warm welcome and farewell was amazing. We can't wait to come back!
