We had a lovely relaxing time with all our friends there was 6 of us znd we were very comfortable.

We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, country charm and home.The quietness of the area yet still close to town.

Nice clean house with a very well equipped kitchen. Great fireplace for the cold nights. The setting on the river is lovely and peaceful. The only complaint is having to supply your own firewood. I’ve stayed at other places where the wood for the fire is suppled.

Nice to go to a rural area and be able to walk in fresh air and experience the spaciousness of the country.

We had a wedding the other side of kenilworth. We chose river oaks on stayz. It was lovely. Very comfortable and cosy. The fireplace heated the whole living area. Managed to lose my sunglasses but they were found and returned to me very quickly which I'm very grateful for.

Very pretty location and cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. Loved the combustion fire..very cosy and relaxing. Pretty views over the river and green farmland with roaming cows. Very friendly and welcoming host.

It was a wonderful place to base ourselves and unwind for our first family holiday together in more than 10 years. Doggy enjoyed his time there too in the safe backyard. The house was comfortable, well equipped and interesting with a mix of antique and modern with lots of lovely artwork. Hope to come back again some day. Thanks too for the homegrown lemons and passionfruit and for your help and patience when our car broke down.

We came for our youngest son's wedding and really loved Kenilworth and the surrounding area. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. I am sure we will be back

Lovely property though I had hoped for something a little more rural didn't realise the property backed onto a very busy road neither that there would be neighbours just a stone throws away. House and amenities were great! Lovely fire pit and verandah.

Enjoy a few days in the country in a lovely country house, set in beautiful surroundings of green fields with a small river running through. Just 4kms. to the delights of Kennilworth.

Great property and perfect for a couple of days away with the pups! We will be back!

Location is great and property is good for dogs.

A lovely affordable older style accommodation. Very quiet, with a nice rural outlook. The Mary River was a quick stroll away for a swim. Just a few minutes drive into town. The care taker met us to walk us through the house and to remind us to close the fly screens so the micro bats didn't get in the house at night time. There were 2 already in the house that evening but were easy to remove. Not complaining, just some folks might not handle that situation. The oven didn't work, and we were advised of this. Coped with the stove top for cooking. A requirement of rental was making sure the dishwasher was emptied before we left. It would be more convenient to be able to stack all breaky dishes etc and turn on as you leave, especially with a large group all trying to be out by 10am. Overall a lovely place to stay and we would gladly rent there again.

As the title says, the property is peaceful and restful. Dog friendly and so many businesses within the vicinity are also dog friendly, like the local pub, cafes etc.

Charming and serene place to stay. Loved sitting out on the deck to eat our meals and just enjoy the view. I brought my border collie with me and she was living her best life while we were there, and really took to having a daily swim in the river.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquillity and lovely views. Everyone had a space to chill, including our dog 😁Great house, comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen. Loved exploring nearby Kenilworth (oh my the donuts!), Montville and Woombye. V

This is the second time we stayed here and it didn't disappoint. Great house, great location near the river, and close to Kenilworth.

We enjoyed a wonderful few days at this beautiful location. Well maintained, very clean and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended

River Oaks is located in a great spot, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the Sunshine Coast and close enough to get to most visit worthy spots within 30-45 minutes (Eumundi- markets, Coolum- beach, Yandina - Fairhill nursery). For an interesting experience, we tried the taste box (to take home) from the Kenilworth cheese factory down the road. Elin welcomed and showed us around the property when we first arrived, and looked after us magnificently; many thanks, Elin! The main road at the front of the property is rather busy during the day, but while you enjoy the oversized back deck overlooking the green space and the view over the creek, you can easily ignore that and it’s like being in another space: tranquil and peaceful. A fan on the deck may be a worthwhile addition during the afternoons when it can be still and humid at times? The bar fridge and washing machine on the deck are a welcome surprise, and a great way to make use of the space. The barbecue can be a challenge due to its small grease trap underneath the cook plate, if previous guests did not bother to clean it out. The house is inviting with its country charm and furniture to match, but including all the modern amenities. The fridge is enormous – it can easily cater for a large family or group. The beds are super comfy, which is always a deal breaker to us; and the fact that there are 2 bathrooms is a huge plus. The large fenced yard is awesome for the dogs to roam around while we spend time on the deck; and outside the yard, the dogs also enjoyed doing zoomies in the green space to vent their energy. We can highly recommend and would gladly return to this accommodation again.

House had everything we needed. River access was a little tricky was an infant but otherwise no problems. Nice quite location close to Kenilworth. Enjoyed our stay. Will be back.

We had a lovely time at River Oaks. A very homey, comfortable house, with everything we needed. A great location within this beautiful area, with just 5 minutes drive to Kenilworth, and scenic views when driving towards either Mapelton or Maleny. Elin welcomed us warmly and was very helpful, and we loved the environmentally friendly choices, including having a compost bin!

We keep coming back to this very special sanctuary as it is just a perfect place to relax and get away from it all. Have already rebooked for next year.

We had a lovely couple of days at this beautiful home. Peaceful surrounds with a stunning view from the back deck. Kids loved the treehouse and had lots of fun exploring down at the river. Dog friendly so it was a bonus for us to take our new puppy on holiday with us. Elin was very friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge to make the most of our stay. We’ll definitely be back!
