Waking up every morning, you are treated to one of the most beautiful views on the island. The house was comfortable and well-stocked; equally suited to a quiet evening in or just a quick bite between beach trips. Karen and Ibro were immensely kind and helpful during our whole stay!

The host was very infomative from the get go, secondly, if there is paradose on earth, this was the place. My family and I came here to celebrate my husband's 50th but also to show the kids St John and it not disappoint. Waking up everyday surrounded by the pcean I can get ised to that. Thank you so much Karen and Ibro. I highly recommend this beautiful villa as we will be coming back soon!

Villa is exactly as pictured. Clean and very well stocked. Views are amazing. And was very, very quiet and safe. Thank you for the hospitality and beautiful place to stay.

The views were spectacular. Restaurants and grocery nearby with all the amenities we could want. Karen made everything available to make a day trip to the beach easy! We loved every day there!

Pearl House was wonderfully peaceful. Close to grocery shopping, easy drive to the world class beaches. Very comfortable. Kitchen had the tools to cook our own meals - we don't eat out very often. Really enjoyed the mornings on the balcony. Mosquitos were not an issue. We would go again.

Our stay at the Pearl Guest House was absolutely perfect! The property is beautiful and the location is excellent. Our stay was May '23 with two couples. The property is just right for two couples and had everything we needed. The easterly breezes kept the upstairs quite comfortable with the windows open. We only ran the upstairs AC once when we first arrived. We used the downstairs bedroom AC units only when getting ready and/or sleeping. The sound of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks below is constant and relaxing. Getting to the shore below is a bit challenging, so plan accordingly. We did not use the kayak as the bay was quite choppy during our stay. With easterly winds, the bay is protected from the Sargassum seaweed by the point across the bay. We did have some southerly winds towards the end of our stay that brought some seaweed into the bay, but nothing in front of the house. We did see a sea turtle in the bay from the upper patio, which was a nice treat! Any complaints we had are rather trivial and in no way take away from the overwhelming positive experience we had staying at the Pearl Guest House. The master bath shower window only has a screen and no window, so it can get a little muggy when getting ready, and some of the birds can be quite loud at night... but again... quite trivial. The open-air concept in the master shower has its charm. ;) This place is absolutely amazing and will be our 1st choice for our yearly visit to St. John! BOOK IT!

The host was superb. Very friendly and accommodating. She was helpful with requested information prior to the trip and during the trip whenever we reached out by text message. This is our best VRBO experience to date.

Pearl Guest House is beautifully situated over Hart Bay. It is well-equipped and comfortable. The hosts are helpful and cordial. We look forward to returning next year!

Driving from Cruz Bay feels like such a short jaunt (and it is), but once you round the corner onto Boatman Point Rd, you feel like you’re headed to your own private bay. The views are stunning, and the home faces a bay that is rarely used, save for a sailboat or two that may moor for the night. It is the absolute perfect location. Close to town for all of our fine-dining needs, but far enough away to provide the seclusion that we needed to truly relax. Karen and Ibro have thought of everything. The home was immaculately clean, and the beach chairs, snorkel gear, and wonderful flowers on the table when we arrived were the finishing touches that made this stay truly exceptional. It was so great getting to know the hosts, and we would be blessed to stay here again.

Perfect beautiful location overlooking Monte Bay, with some rocky beachfront access. The house is completely as advertised, well appointed and a wonderful retreat. Gorgeous views from every window. Comfortable beds, quiet. Modern appliances. Lots of little helpful items for outings.

I don't know where to start! This home is just as described... so lovely, and the views are incredible!!! Easy ride into downtown, and all the beaches... I can't wait to book another week here!!!

Beautiful property and the family was very responsive to us!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location of the villa was perfect! We had privacy and seclusion, but we’re just a short drive to the grocery store and town, and only a few minutes further to the beaches!! Kitchen was well stocked with blender for frozen drinks, French press for coffee, and plenty of cooking implements. We cooked in a few nights and ate out others:) The gas grill was nice to have too! There was a cooler and beach chairs for day trips, and a sea kayak to visit the beach across the bay! We had a wonderful week, and couldn’t be happier with the villa!!!

We had a wonderful stay. Morning coffee and breakfast overlooking the water. Sky full of stars at night. Very nice place, furnishings etc. Full kitchen, outdoor grill and backpack beach chairs. The ability to quietly and privately start and end the day over a beautiful bay that is just minutes away from downtown… you can’t go wrong.

The unobstructed views of the blue Caribbean water are priceless. The grocery store and town are only 10-15 minutes away but when you get to the Pearl it is completely private and all you hear is the surf and the wind. I kept my windows open (had screens) every night so I could hear the surf. The furnishings, appliances, decorations, bathrooms, showers, are all first class and immaculate. The architectual design with the high ceilings and big windows is so nice. Morning coffee with the sunrise is stunning. Would come back here again any chance I got.

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. Karen and Ibro were the perfect hosts! We really enjoyed all aspects of the property with the favorite of course being that incredible view. This is our first time staying for a week on St. John’s and absolutely loved it! Some of our favorites were the Windmill Bar for its incredible views, Extra-virgin bistro for some of the best food we’ve ever had, and a couple of trips to Coral Bay for beautiful beaches and donkeys and goats. Would love to visit again and would absolutely choose this property. Thanks again for making us a wonderful trip.

Pearl Guest House was just what we were looking for: quiet, secluded, beautiful view, sound of the ocean and magnificent sunrises! The house itself is beautiful, designed by the architect owner. The large great room was comfortable whether relaxing after a day of exploring, or enjoying a movie at night. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed including a bunch of spices. We cooked several meals and that made it so handy! We could dine inside or outside on the covered terrace depending upon weather. It rained a few days, but it did not dampen our enthusiasm for St. John or Pearl Guest House. The lower level has two large bedrooms, two baths and a laundry area. It was always a wonderful retreat at the end of the day. Beds were super comfy too. Each space has its own AC which was great because we could keep it off while we were gone and in just 15 minutes it was quite comfy. (We all have to do our part to save the earth, even when on vacation!) The owners are just next door, but we didn't even see them unless we needed them. Plus they are super nice people too with a wealth of knowledge about the island. Down a fairly steep path is the waters edge with a kayak for two. Be sure to attempt the kayak on a relatively calm day! I can truly say that Pearl Guest House would be our number one choice when we return to St. John. It was not far from Cruz Bay, on a quiet dead end road filled with flowers, birds and iguanas. It was just what we wanted for our vacation. And if you want a relaxing, peaceful, beautiful place with an incredible star show at night Pearl Guest House will be the right choice for you.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Pearl Guest House to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We did not bring our children, but since the property has a second bedroom, we absolutely could have. Our stay was truly wonderful. The house was exactly as pictured, very clean, and had everything you need. The location of the house was awesome, about 8 minutes into Cruz Bay where all of the restaurants and shops are located. St John always seems to have a nice breeze so we never used AC in the main living area - only the bedroom while sleeping. We loved listening to the waves below! We enjoyed the stunning sunrise while sipping our coffee each morning on the veranda. One of our favorite aspects of the house was the amazing shower, which has a large screened window so you feel almost like you're outside with the waves. The house includes a double kayak which we used one morning (need water shoes to get down the path to the rocky beach). Karen and Ibro were wonderful all around. Our trip had to be postponed twice due to COVID and they were flexible and accommodating. They provided us with tips about the need for a 4-wheel drive rental car and favorite restaurants. They welcomed us by meeting us at the car ferry so that we could follow them back to the house. If we had a question, we sent a text and they were always quick to respond. They even left a bottle of champagne in the fridge for our wedding anniversary! So very thoughtful. We very much hope to return to the Pearl Guest House in the future! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at the Pearl Guest house. The home was beautiful, clean and spacious. The hosts were kind and helpful. We truly enjoyed sitting out on the deck at night with the breeze , the sound of the waves and the shooting stars. It was so relaxing. The sunrises were stunning. The guest house was only minutes away from Cruz Bay and we enjoyed several dinners there as well as a private boat charter. For a couple of nights we had pizza delivered from Ronnie’s pizza and it was tasty. We look forward to booking this beautiful property again in the future! Thank you ! Christine and Corky
