Separate living room and balcony Great

Internet was pretty dire

We arrived early and the property was ready, so we could move in straight away. The size of the property was the perfect size for 2 plus a small dog. There is a comfortable sofa and bed, and the view is lovely. The whirlpool bath was a nice bonus after a cold and wet day of walking (especially as the shared hot tub is not in use during the winter). A real benefit is having control of the heating so when cold you could boost it, plus there was hot water on tap. The property has all the appliances you need for a self-catering break. Only a 30-40 minute walk into town.

The property has been well used and it shows in the wear and tear of the rooms, furnishings and appliances. The radiator in the bathroom leaked and the lounge fire remote control was missing. When I searched under the sofa cushions (just in case the remote had been lost within the sofa), these hadnt been hoovered in a while. We were there when the site was quiet, but we could hear people at the back of us the one night someone did stay - we could hear noise well into the night.

The cottages are in fact part of a caravan park which wasn't made clear before booking However we grew to love it

it was really close to the Campus of Aberystwyth University

No downstairs toilet

Tatty comes to mind. Very dated and not very good quality fixtures and fittings. Everywhere looked as if it needed a good thorough clean. Under sofa cushions were loads of crumbs and dirt cobwebs everywhere. Maintenance on the property was sadly lacking it's such a shame as with some TLC could be a lovely holiday home.
