It was perfect when our son and his family visited; they could just use the entire upper floor, with a separate bedroom for each of the older children. For the two of us, it is a peaceful, secluded house. Air conditioning in the master bedroom and downstairs is a plus; we needed it several days this summer.

The three bedrooms worked well (we didn't use the child's bedroom) with ample privacy for all.
