Loved this place. Harry the host was amazing and filled us in on all the goss going on in Rarotonga, haha more answered our questions about the island etc. Room was comfortable and great size. Kitchen had everything we needed as did the bathroom. Walking distance to all you need.
There was nothing I would need to change to have another great holiday.

Location was perfect, we had the cabin closest to the beach. As there are only five cabins, the area was quiet and very private. Kitchen was very well equipped and there were additional cushions for the outdoor seating and great beach towels. The pool was wonderful if you wanted a change from the beautiful lagoon at our doorstep. Harry and his staff were very friendly and helpful. A really exceptional place to stay. I would highly recommend Muri Hideaway.

We had an amazing stay at Muri Beach Hideaway. From the moment we booked, communication was clear and efficient. Harry and Sian were very welcoming and accommodated our request to store luggage prior to check-in and to extend our checkout time, given our late flight. The hotel facilities were excellent. The bungalow was cozy, spacious, and tidy, stocked with everything we needed: a comfortable bed, armchairs, a well-equipped kitchen, a strong shower, clothes line, iron, and more. Each bungalow also features its own balcony, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The swimming pool was clean and pleasant, and complimentary kayaking and snorkeling gear, including reef shoes and goggles, were available. The location is super convenient — within walking distance to bars, restaurants, cafes, shops, and the Muri night market — and right in front of Muri Beach, which we loved the most in Rarotonga. Overall, our stay was delightful, and I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a welcoming, good value, and comfortable experience.

Location was spot on. Close to Muri beach excursions. Beachfront with a pool. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean.
Air con would've helped me deal with the heat wave, instead the pool and beach compensated for that. So no real complaints about our stay

This place is truly a hidden treasure. Situated amongst some on the most extravagant accomodation this little boutique style 5 villa property totally exceeded all of my expectations. Incredibly clean, very private, adults only, private pool and your own little slice of Muri Lagoon footsteps away from your room. I was nervous as this was a more affordable option for us and it has little reviews but what a trip! The housekeeper there, a beautiful Philippino lady was super friendly and kept the place spotless. I actually booked the lastnight at a 4 star resort and The Hideaway trumped this by a million miles. I cannot recommend it enough!!! Complimentary juice, milk, bottled water, clothes horse, toiletries, self contained meant a very affordable stay in what I can only describe as paradise. The snorkelling is epic and the lagoon is super safe for beginner snorkellers
There is nothing I disliked about The Muri Hideaway (aside from the few geckos that liked to pop their head out every now and then)! It simply added to the experience of true island life

Adults only so no screaming kids. Great hot showers. Clean and neat place. Swimming pool is fantastic! Muri lagoon is right in front. Muri food market is close by and so as a lot of cafes and shops. Very handy place to stay.

Beautiful place right on the beach. Waking up to the sun rising over the water was an experience not to be missed. Suberb host and extremely clean accomodation. Lots to see and do in the area.

Great location close to Muri night markets, restaurants, cafes and bars. Easy beach access. No street noise. Bed was big and comfortable. There is a kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. Good snorkeling in the lagoon (at high tide)
Nothing we disliked but not sure if value for money was quite right at about $220 AUD per night and no breakfast included.

Staff and location excellent. Food left for us on arrival a nice touch. Bungalow was on the rustic side which is expected and was clean and functional with perfect location.
Rarotonga needs to deal with the dog population. The dogs would bark and howl at all hours of the night. The roosters and chickens are also everywhere and are harmless and fun to watch except when they crow at 2am.

The location is excellent, the accommodation is well equipped with everything you need, the view from the room and terrace is perfect, plenty of shade on the beach, everything is within walking distance (24-hour grocery store, Muri market, bus station, excursions, restaurants, bars, rent a bike/car ...)

we arrived when it was dark and the next morning we woke to an amazing sunrise over the beach we were front and centre for the view from our deck, the pool was a couple of steps away and was lovely and refreshing i had several dips a day in there, Harry was so lovely as well if you needed anything he was on hand, our Villa was well equipped amd comfortable, if you are looking for somewhere quite there are only 5 Villas on sight so no crowds excellent location.
There are things that you might like to know however this does not take away the absolute perfect time we had, Cockrals and barking dogs wake you at sunrise, they are everywhere on the island and the shower and TV were on island time, the shower took a little practice to regulate the temperature and the TV relies on the internet which is patchy, we didnt really use this much but watched a couple of movies at night.

This place is absolute paradise! I loved how the beach huts had the island feel to them. The view from our doorstep was just magical in the beachfront villa as well as the surrounding areas of the Hideaway. Everything was within a few minutes walking distance with the best breakfast at cafe Deli-licious. This place offers everything you need for a beautiful relaxing stay in Muri and I hope to return here in the future. Thank you Harry for making our stay in Rarotonga the best experience for my 1st time traveling and being so very helpful (especially when I got sunburnt). The staff here are just absolutely lovely and I'm glad we chose to stay with you :)

We had a lovely two week stay at MBH. The room exceeded our expectations. We especially loved the setup of the verandah/decking area where we sat most days (even during a few rainy days). We also appreciated the servicing of the room each day.
Dogs barking during the night but it was something we expected as part of island life and the dogs were super charming during the daytime :)

Great location, right on the beach. Really close to retail, bars and cafes. Good room, large in size, with a well appointed kitchen, big bed and a great deck to relax on. Pool right outside door.
Nothing really. Some may struggle given there is no A/C, but overall that was not a problem.

The location was perfect, walking distance to everything we needed. The rooms are spacious, tidy and comfortable. The view is spectacular, and it was so perfect having a pool. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back again, never disappoints!

Awesome villas right on muri Beach, short stroll up the beach either direction to some really nice dining options , the muri night markets and a dairy/superette . The pool was really lovely and we spent a lot of time floating around with a drink or 2. Harry was a great host, left us to it but was always reachable if we needed anything. Can't wait to return!
Not a dislike but a suggestion, maybe a cantilevered umbrella to put a bit of shade on a section of the pool would be a good addition
