We had a great stay at Chanalai Romantica. The staff were amazing and so friendly. It was my birthday whilst I was there and I had a lovely surprise from the team - singing happy birthday with a gorgeous cake. We had a few issues with the power in our room as the rain kept cutting the power out. We thought it was hotel wide at first but then realised it was just our room. The staff were super tentative and ensured the power was quickly turned back on. We also received a lovely gift of wine and fruit as an apology. Big shout out to Eye who was fantastic and made our stay extremely memorable.

The gym is really really small.

The hotel was very clean and had a very nice pool area. The room size was very good and I really enjoyed how bright the room was. The bathroom was also spacious and had all the things you needed. The staff in the hotel was fantastic! They were super friendly and always up for a chat! I also enjoyed the breakfast, it had a lot to choose from and was very reasonably priced! I found the location very convenient and everything was in walking distance. I would return for sure and can highly recommend it.

The only area of improvement that I can mention is the dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. I noticed that the restaurant at dinner was almost empty every night. I still had dinner there one night (and was literally the only person sitting there) and felt like the service and the food weren't as good.

Pool was nice. Rooms were big and comfortable bed.

We requested 3 times for a late check out and when we arrived we were told it would be twice the advertised price on their website due to booking through booked.com so we booked another hotel for half the price instead of late check out. This was poorly handled by the check in team. That being said the check out team were lovely to deal with and were very apologetic for the experience we had.

The rooms are amazing! So modern and big. Loved the shower! The pool is lovely. Great location, walking distance to the beach and lots of restaurants! Would recommend!

The rooms were spacious and well laid out. And the patio was a nice size as well!

Staff tried too hard, were overbearing. The hotel is directly at the main street, the pool area is not really taken care off and over all it is missing the little details that make a stay convenient.

Staff here are incredible - especially Pin but overall every single person we encountered was wonderful. Rooms are always clean and well stocked, loads of towels etc, breakfast is good too. Concierge is very helpful and in terms of location it is well located near Kata Beach. It's my third visit and will be coming back.

Hotel was comfortable but definitely not worth what we were charged!

The location- personal opinion but Kata beach is extremely hectic and over-run with crowds. There was a serious shortage of loungers for the pool area- particularly as Kata Beach is so busy and not easy to chill on it, so most guests choose to stay at the pool in the hotel. The pictures are far better than reality! The reception staff were lovely but staff were often missing from the bar area for long periods of time- which was where all the guests were located most commonly.

The location is superb - everything you need is so close to the hotel - spa, grocery, restaurants, beach. The rooms are so cozy and modern and clean. We had a complimentary fruit plate with a bottle of Prosecco when we moved in. And once we arrived to the hotel for the very first time, a member of staff gave us a nice fruit juice with the ice cream. It felt like such a nice caring gesture. My parents stayed in the other hotel, which was more expensive, and their hotel wasn’t even half as good. The breakfast was quite good too, every morning they had different options as long as the eggs, fruit and sausage station - so there was a variety of food. A bit shout out to the hotel staff team. The cleaning was great, the guest service was great, along with the kitchen staff, and of course a concierge team. If I am travelling to Thailand again in the foreseeable future, I would happily choose Chanalai Romantic again.
