The location.
It was a wet night and being indoors was better than being outside.
The bed mattress was the most uncomfortable soft sponge I have slept on (or more correctly not slept on) in many a year. Tempted to get up and sleep on a couch in the corridor.
The continental breakfast at €8 was a rip off even by Irish standards, which is probably why we were asked to pay for it in advance.
To sit on the toilet one had to to sit down and swivel into position to avoid knocking oneself on the toilet paper dispenser.

Very comfortable and clean room. Great location for those doing the Camino De Santiago—just steps away. There is a pastry shop that opens at 6 just across the street if you need to get an early start. Also not far from boardwalk.

This place is great. Really clean and fresh. Good bed and shower. Perfect location in old town and 30 seconds from the big beach. I would come back and stay anytime. Wonderful staff. Anyone who complains obviously should have stayed at home!

Stayed here for a night on my Camino Norde route. Great cozy property. Rooms are small but well maintained. The staff make an effort and had a great breakfast with full service for only 6 Euros. Recommended

Location was excellent beside the beach and a few minutes walk to the old town and sea .promenade. The staff were great particularly Joanne who was so friendly and helpful.

The shower was very small but manageable. The room was also small but as a solo traveller it was ok.

excellent location and pretty quiet for the centre of a busy town. Lady on reception very helpful.
room a bit small (there were larger ones but we took the last as late notice). No curtains in our room so had to use the blind which cuts out fresh air. (there was aircon)

it’s a bit overpriced for a hostel, the airco didn’t really work, so it was a bit hot and humid in the room

Location close to the old city centre: harbour, castle, nice tapas bars. Castro Urdiales was a pleasant surprise: cosy small old city centre with some glood tapasbars. And.. just few tourists!
No public parking facilities at all in the direct surroundings but there is a parking garage at 250 meter at the harbour. €1,65 per hour, no daily max.

there is a green light in the ceiling by the door that shines all night and you can’t turn it off, made it very difficult to sleep!
