Possibly the best place to stay in Morpeth. A real country cottage vibe you get from this place. Perfect as a couples retreat. Easy to find. Warm and Cosy.

We noticed that the floor had some dirt, like it needed a vacuum or sweep. But it was very minimal compared to how it was presented to us and throughout our stay.

The villa was private from the main residence and spacious. The bed was clean and fresh.

Looks can be deceiving. On arrival we were greeted by the host, she showed us where we could park and showed us quickly inside the villa. The villa was hot and stuffy inside, with the air-conditioning not being on ready for guests. When asked if we could utilise the bikes that are advertised on the villa site, we were told that they hadn't been maintained due to covid and they were unavailable. This was dissapointing as we were really looking forward to exploring Morpeth by bicycle. We then asked the host how to use the keypad lock on the villa door and she was quite abrupt, as she stated she had sent a text with the instructions for same. We explained we didn't receive the text but she seemed quite annoyed instead of just politely showing us the code. After the host left us with the villa, we began to settle in, we removed our shoes to realise that the floors were filthy. I swept up as much of the dust/gravel/dirt as I could with a dustpan brush we had with us, but had to give up and call the host to come and vacuum, leaving a pile for her to clean up. She apologised and said she would clean whilst we were out which we were happy with. I then received a phone call from her when we were out asking exactly where she was meant to be cleaning as she basically couldn't see the problem, then she noticed the pile I had swept up and said that it must have fallen out of the vacuum. I explained that no it had not, that was just a pile I had left from cleaning half of the floors. When we returned from our outing the floors were much better but not 100% as you would expect from luxury accommodation. I also asked the host as to where the bath caddy was, as it is also pictured, only to be told there isn't one currently. The deck coming off the villa was filthy and unusable, with the host showing us where a possum has been sleeping on the chair cushions with same looking like it was mouldy.

we unfortunately spent one short night at the villa but wish we could have stayed longer. The location was perfect as we attended a wedding at Wallalong House which was only 10 mins away from the villa. The property was beautifully set out and the owners were super helpful and kind.

Beautiful location and the villa is perfect for a couples get away. It’s got everything you need for a relaxing time.

We have stayed before and it is presented so well. The bed is so comfortable we would stay again.

Nothing it was lovely

The room/apartment is lovely and the decoration is what we like. It was clean and the bed is really confortable. Morpeth is nice to visit and the restaurant we did was perfect.

The breakfast is really light and basic, no juice no yoghurt, no muesli, the pastries are industrial, a bit disappointing for the price. Otherwise everything was great.

The breakfast was delcious totally enjoyed the Easter buns and scrolls as well as the fruit. The location was perfect as it was walking distance for us to dinner.
