This is an exceptional hotel. The hotel itself is very good, beautiful architecture blending with the mountains around it, the staff is very nice, better than the average good Chilean hotel, food is also very good and the rooms are cozy and confortable. The real show is the property, a +thousand ha. of mostly preserved mountains, lakes and prairies, it is a huge private reserve, with a small area set aside for grazing, this actually adds to the beauty. If you like nature, trekking (several within the property) you should go.. and added bonus is that you would help the preservation of the area since the hotel is one of the main sources of income to maintain the reserve.

We loved our stay at Futangue. The setting was just beautiful and the park was really nice for hiking. Breakfasts and lunches were fabulous. Dinners were good and some dishes were great. Staff was super friendly and helpful in the restaurant and park. Common areas were very comfortable and inviting.

The rooms aren’t super special. We had a mountain view room, but the way the sightlines work with the windows - you basically can’t see the mountains. Not worth it for the extra expense and the views from the common area - especially the restaurant are fabulous. Front desk was courteous but not super helpful in terms of explaining how things really worked there. IMHO, if management was smart they’d bundle things better, more like explora or Awasi.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in - Why? Because everything worked well and the staff were good at making our stay stress free, no hassle but not over the top "service"
