The property is located close to one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, South West Bay. The rooms are comfortable and relatively clean, if you don’t count the bugs getting in. The staff working on the property were all nice and as helpful as they could and breakfast was pretty good.

If you don’t like bugs this isn’t the place for you. There are large cockroaches entering the rooms, either coming from the garden or from the walls, especially in the rooms on the ground floor/first level. After seeing two in my room I asked the owner if I could move upstairs and he said I would have to pay more for a room upstairs because they had a view (they barely did), and when the hostel was about 85-90% empty. I think this is very poor customer service. Most hostels would try and accomodate if there is such issue reported, in some places you even get upgraded for no reason just because rooms are free and they want customers to be happy. It made it even more difficult that the owner was not present (he doesn’t live on the island) and we had to go through his staff to communicate. Moreover, several times the price he gave kept changing (read: kept going up) and I had to battle over what I already paid and what he said the ‘upgrade’ costed. This also happened to another guest during the stay so this isn’t an isolated incident. She ended up moving to another hostel. It’s a shame the owner behaves like he does because otherwise this would be a really nice place to stay.

La posizione è sicuramente il punto forte della struttura, situata nel mezzo delle due spiagge più belle di Providencia, una prorio vicinissima e raggiungibile a piedi, l'altra a pochi minuti di scooter. Le camere sono grandi e tutte con un terrazzino con amaca molto carino! Lo staff da Pedro a Mario è disponibile e offre preziosi consigli. Abbiamo chiesto due scooter e in poco tempo sono arrivati.

Il lavandino del bagno aveva una perdita e bisognava mettere un asciugamano sotto per tamponare. La colazione non contempla scelte, arriva infatti la signora a dirvi oggi abbiamo preparato questo, e potete solo dire ok, ma tutto è buono.

The hotel is near to Southwest, the second-best beach on the island.

The hotel, like most places to stay in Providencia, is on the main road, so the noise of the motorcycles is felt in the morning and evening hours. The included breakfast is not the best, the portions are small and there are no alternatives if you have any intolerance.

Viajamos em 03 pessoas e ficamos em um quarto conjugado com sacada. Então haviam dois banheiros disponíveis para uso. Os quartos são espaçosos, roupa de cama e toalha limpas e confortáveis. O hotel fica próximo à praia de South West Bay, uma das mais bonitas da ilha. É só seguir reto na rua em frente ao hotel e ir até o fim, pegar um caminho à direita e chegará à praia. A sacada tem vista para o mar (um pouco distante) e uma linda vista para o pôr do sol. O proprietário Pedro foi solícito em nos ajudar. Tivemos um problema com o vôo e precisamos ficar mais uma noite e ele organizou os quartos para que pudéssemos nos hospedar, bem como nos ajudou a buscar uma pizza para o jantar, pois estávamos sem a moto/mulita para nos locomovermos na ilha. O hotel oferece café da manhã com uma fruta, ovos mexidos e pão, suco, café, café com leite e leite com chocolate. É importante levar repelente, pois há muitos mosquitos na ilha.

Não há ar condicionado em todos os quartos. No nosso conjugado o quarto com sacada tinha ar condicionado e o outro, somente ventilador. O clima da ilha estava agradável, então isso não foi um problema, mas talvez em tempos de calor, faça falta. A água do chuveiro é fria e sai em pouca quantidade. A funcionária se incomodou ao pedirmos para repetir o ovo do café da manhã. O hotel fica distante no “centro” com os principais restaurantes. Na região há somente os restaurantes da praia SouthWest Bay e umas opções de lanche, então é importante que assim que chegar no hotel, providencie o aluguel da moto ou mulita para poder se locomover.

Brilliant location for access to probably the best beach on the island. Pedro and his father are very helpful and can arrange scooter rental and boat trips which is harder to do independently on this island

The room was very comfortable and the hosts exceedingly accommodating. Breakfast was very tasty and the location, being a stones throw from the island’s best beach, is excellent.

The only drawback is it is located on the island’s main road. It has a sea view still, but there is a bit of noise from the motos that pass by. Not quite the island paradise vibe I had hoped for. Having said that, I don’t think there are many places on the island without this, and Mario let me change room to one further from the road which made a huge difference. Note: I’m very noise sensitive. It’s not a serious problem by any means. Final point, I really hope Mario takes my advice and installs a filtered water dispenser, so that guests don’t need to buy countless plastic water bottles to stay hydrated. Small changes like these make a huge difference to the guest experience and to plastic pollution worldwide.
