Great place to explore Matera, and the surrounding area, by car. Very clean and nice, very good parking in side the gate, nice area outside to sit as well. Wonderful room, very clean. Comfortable huge bed.

It was very clean

It did not feel cosy at all, more like student accommodation. It’s spacious but the space is not well planned. The bathroom is big, but the shower area is tiny. The private terrace outside is of no use, as there are no sun loungers or any view. Some kitchen utensils like cutting knives were missing. Overall, it was ok but would not stay there again.

Electrical sockets are smaller in Italy so laptop couldn't be powered except in the bathroom.

Brand new, spacious, well equipped, really clean, easily accessible, private (locked) Parking and you can make the place completely dark- just exactly what we needed. If you don't want to pay the money for an old town boutique hotel, it's probably the best place to stay in Matera. You would definitely need a car though, because it's a bit outside an no shops/ restaurants around. Can recommend "Parcheggio Via Vena", just outside the old town for only 50 cent/hour, no problem finding a place + security cameras.

Couldn't start the gas stove without a lighter (as a non smoker, I had to ask the neighbors for one ;-)). The modern Foam mattress was a bit soft for my personal taste...
