Beautiful home
Nice home and yard close to town. The host was very welcoming and we enjoyed our time.

We were so sad to leave!
My family had the most amazing stay at Erica's house. The home itself is so beautiful and comfortable and the garden is spectacular. The trains did not bother us at all. In fact, it was our son's favorite part! The location of the house is great too. Super close to downtown, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Highly recommend booking your stay here. We wanted to stay forever!

Tucson Vacation
Erica's house is charming and beautiful once you walk through the front door. She has done an outstanding job updating a historical home with high end details and amenities. Erica is super friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with our rental car being too small riding with luggage on our lap, and she was able to let us stop by early to drop of the luggage prior to check-in.
My family all enjoyed her house and especially her backyard cacti. This was most enjoyable being right in the middle of downtown.
We would have given this place 5 stars if we only were evaluating the things the owner has control over. In order to give an honest review, I must mention the trains. Unfortunately, the house is literally one/two blocks from a train track. The trains run all night long. One night there were about 15 that came through. That was the worst, but the other nights were about three to five trains. They are loud even using the provided ear plugs.
On a side note, the location is inner city. If you are not used to this, you may not be comfortable. If you are used to country or suburban living, then this location may not be for you. But it was handy to be in the center of everything for shorter drives in any direction we went.

Great sty
We enjoyed our stay at Erica’s beautiful home. From the well stocked kitchen, the lovely decor and the comfortable outdoor patio space-its a great place to stay and enjoy Tucson.

Nobody mentioned the blaring train horns every 5 minutes all day and night!!
The property was nice. It's a little crowded with the décor but it looks nice. The manager was amazing but we had to call it quits early because the train horns were unbearable. Neither my wife nor I slept more than about an hour each. The property manager refunded 50% of our 5 night stay but had we known about the trains, we never would have booked. With this being said, it ended up costing us $1400 for 1 miserable night, which is pretty frustrating.

Holiday Get Away
My family and I stayed at this property between Christmas and New Years Day. It was absolutely lovey. Erica went above and beyond to ensure our stay in Tuscan was the best it could be. Her hospitality and customer service was amazing. From promptly answering all of the questions I had prior to arriving and then the little touches upon arrival. Including a personal note and scrabble plates with all the guests names, made the entire family feel welcome.
The property is in a great location very close to downtown and easy access to get anywhere in Tuscan. I know there reviews about the train and yes it is close … none of us had any issues - ear plugs are provided but we did not use them. The house itself has everything- you can tell it is from the 1800s with all the upgrades…. Just look at the pictures. From the amazing tub in the master to the kitchen which has EVERYTHING including upgraded appliances.
One of my most favorite places on the property is the backyard!!! It is its own little paradise. It is very private and I think Erica has EVERY type of cactus out there not being from AZ this was a treat. The blooming vines and all of the birds that visit every morning is just magical. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy a cocktail or coffee.
I would absolutely stay here again or any other property that Erica has without hesitation.

Stunning! We can’t wait to come back.
The property is stunning. The house was gorgeous, the garden was beautiful, the kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were so comfortable, and the sheets felt like butter.
But what really set this rental apart was the host, Erica. She added such a personal and lovely touch to our welcome, and really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing short of amazing. Thank you so much, Erica. We can’t wait to come back.
If you’re on the fence about this property, go for it. It’s worth every penny and you won’t regret it.

Great stay in a beautiful and authentic adobe residence! I'll be back!
We found this 180-year-old multifamily adobe residence had been artfully converted to a comfortable home for our multigeneration family adventure. It was a great stay located in an old historic neighborhood right amid all the action, close to Downtown Music Venues, Restaurants & the Streetcar. Just off the freeway it was a buzz getting around on our sightseeing!
If you value authenticity, but also enjoy comfort and convenience, look no further. El Milagro has thick original adobe walls & cool concrete flooring inside. Luxury linens on awesome beds, tons of plush towels, leather sofas, full sized washer/dryer, all delightfully furnished with solid wood colonial furniture, original art, and unbelievable designer touches.
The bedrooms had original exposed beam ceilings; bookcases filled with local books to thumb through.. A large gathering table in the delightfully cozy dining room seated all six of us comfortably for a shared holiday meal. Our bedrooms had smart TVs w/movie channels; we were also able to stream Netflix & Amazon. The grand kids enjoyed the fast wi-fi. The armoire full of games entertained us with bellies full of laughter one evening!
We relaxed in the private, high-walled garden, enjoyed the fountain, fireplace, gas grill, great patio tables & I took a siesta on a chaise lounge in the sun one afternoon.
We found the kitchen to have everything we needed (& more) with stainless steel appliances-gas stove, dishwasher, full size fridge (the kids loved the in-door icemaker), coffee maker (with coffee provided), microwave, blender (had to make Margaritas), toaster, plenty of dishes, flatware for dozens, condiments, teas, herbs & spices for our stay! We most enjoyed our welcome wine and chocolates too!
This home would be Ideal for couples/friends/families who want comfortable gathering areas for shared time, but also desire separate bedrooms & bathrooms. This is a home where you won't be tripping over one another, waiting for the bathroom, or hearing the people in the next room. It's a full-sized home, with great areas to come together, that just happens to be in the most desirable location in Tucson! Thank you, Erica for providing a great family retreat! We'll be back!

Historic gem... wish I could have stayed longer
We highly recommend, El Milagro Del Barrio Anita, for a stay in historic downtown Tucson. Erica, the hostess went out of her way to communicate arrival information and property amenities.
The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed and more. The outdoor area is lush with native plants and has a large table with comfortable cushioned chairs. I felt like I was at a resort and made a point to enjoy my early morning coffee in this tranquil environment. The well decorated, exceptionally clean house is a perfect size with three bedroom areas and two bathrooms.
A car is not needed since the house is within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, museums and nightlife activity. The historic neighborhood is quiet and filled with friendly families and postgraduate students. Thank you, Erica, we'll be back!

Beautiful EL Milagro Del Barrio Anita
We've just returned from a wonderful stay in Erica's lovely El Milagro Del Barrio Anita! Erica is a delightful hostess who has lovingly restored this house with obvious care and appreciation for the architectural details that make these homes special. We found this to be a well-maintained, spotlessly clean (the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in, in fact), and an overall lovely home. This adobe home is exceptionally well-appointed, and Erica has left no detail to chance. We enjoyed fresh flowers, holiday poinsettias, wine, chocolates ~ all our names spelled out in scrabble pieces and fresh fruit for the week. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and abundance of fluffy luxury towels and linens. The master bedroom and master bath suite are surprisingly large and incredibly comfortable for a home from this era and the home will be hard to leave with the streaming sunlight and peaceful one-of-a-kind decor. With a toddler in tow - I really appreciated the Pack n' play, Highchair and ensuite laundry - outfitted with soap. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed exploring in the incredible back yard and we enjoyed family barbecues on the rear patio. Tucson friends and family who visited during our stay were charmed and impressed. We had to keep things neat because everyone wanted to look around. Our niece spent one night in the kids’ room and so loved the house that she threatened never to leave. The location is very central and was a great home base to enjoy the attractions and restaurants of Tucson. Erica responded very quickly to any questions via text and gave great recommendations! We would absolutely stay here again and are very much looking forward to our next stay at the beautiful El Milagro.
Lots of great restaurants and attractions but a few we recommend highly: Desert Museum, Time Machine Miniature Museum, Botanical Gardens (although I think there were just as many butterflies in the back yard of El Milagro, as at the butterfly exhibit) and The Cup restaurant at Hotel Congress!

Hope to Return to this Dreamy & Magical Historical Sanctuary
We just wrapped up a most memorable stay at El Milagro & as beautiful as the pictures are, they do not do justice to this magical abode full of southwest charm. All furnishings - inside & out - are not just beautiful to look at: they are delightfully comfortable & convenient. Plenty of side tables for books & drinks, and wonderful lighting make this home a joy to live in. The master suite king sized bed is an absolute luxury (I made a point of writing down the maker & style of mattress), and the pillows are equally sumptuous. And when you top them off with 100% pure cotton & linen sheets / cases by Pendelton and Pottery Barn well, there's no turning back. The elegant pure copper tub off the master bedroom is not just an exquisite design element, it is the most soothing soaking tub I've ever set foot in. When you prefer a shower, you're treated to a lovely Carrera marble shower that is heavenly, artistic & absolutely spa-like.
The kitchen has a fabulous gas range, & I enjoyed it immensely. There's an amazing collection of coffees, teas and cooking supplies, so if you are one to cook up a feast, you will have everything you need.
The outdoor area - perfectly serene gardens, layered in bright, colorful shrubbery & trees, with plenty of comfortable seating & tables - is where I spent a lot of my time. You can sit in the sun, or the shade, as both are available all day long. You'll hear the cooing of doves & the chirping of songbirds. I sat out there for many hours every day, reading, with the butterflies and birds as my company. (And speaking of quietude, each night I slept in absolute comfort. While other reviewers mention the train, it provided a soothing and rhythmic harmony that was not a problem for me. As I said, this dwelling is truly a sanctuary, in every sense of the word.)
You are within walking distance to many fabulous restaurants, in a world-renowned city of gastronomy etc., The historic El Charro, La Cocina, Cafe Ala C'Art - are right around the corner. We picked up Fantastic Mexican food form the award-winning Anita Street markets and St Mary's Tortilla - so if you want to dine al fresco, in the glorious gardens of El Milagro itself, it's a cinch to pick up a delightful assortment of delicacies to enjoy on one of the many outdoor seating areas.
Everything is beautifully maintained, very clean & fresh. This home is tastefully provisioned, is beautifully appointed, with welcoming touches. Your host, Erica very communicative, a delight!

This Experience was a Nightmare
We arrive for the Thanksgiving holiday excited for our stay only to be majorly disappointed. As soon as we check in a pile of trash greeted us at the door. Then we go to use the grill and it has dog toys in it. Then we go to get ready for bed and the master bed room and one guest bedroom has dirty and stained sheets. The master bedroom bedding had dog hair all over it and we found underwear on the floor! It was awful! When I reached out to the host she not once apologized or offered to change sheets. We ended up going to a hotel and she still charged us a cleaning fee and one night stay! My husband left an expensive hoodie on our rush out that nightmare and when we contacted the host she had her staff just toss it outside! I would not recommend this place to anyone especially if you like clean linens and don’t want dog hair all over your belongings

Lovely but small issues
This is a lovely property with exquisite interior design. I would book again. Tons of good quality towels. Cuteness and charm abound! Beautifully decorated. Ready to feel right at home. Kitchen full of fun dishes and cookware. Sweet greetings from the owner. That tub is AMAZING! Loved the quiet cool floors. Neighborhood is very quiet.
However, I notice everything so....
The sewage smell was unbearable some days. There was odor outside, presumably from reclaimed water and inside from an unknown source, maybe front load washer. Some days were tolerable several were unbearable.
Leftover pint of ice cream in the freezer. Half smoked cigar outside on deck. Fountain didn't work and electrical for it was in a dangerous spot. Plants around the fountain need cutting back heavily. Can't park in from of the home and asked to not park across the street by that neighbor. AC froze up twice from trying cool below 73. The train honks repeatedly through the early morning hours. Outdoor seating cushions need to be cleaned. Grill out of gas but immediately replaced when I notified.
Again even despite what bothered me this place has so many great positives, I would certainly book again.

Great place
Overall the place was great. The only noted concern is the proximity to the train made it difficult to get a restful nights sleep

SO AMAZING!
We had an amazing experience at this property! Everything was clean, very inviting, and VERY well equipped with anything you might need for the duration of your stay. The property manager was also very nice, and very much appreciated for all of the work that was put into making this such a fun get-away! Highly recommend this place, would stay here again.

Everything at your fingertips so didn’t have to worry about cooking or morning coffee. Close to most things in Tucson. The train tracks are a little annoying but we got used to them (and ear plugs are provided)! Loved it!

Great base for exploring Tucson
This charming, so-well-equipped home in Bario Anita was our base for 5 days of exploring Tucson. Homeowner Erica was very welcoming and responsive to any questions. The exquisite backyard was perfect for morning coffee and other quiet times; the birds were very talkative and so fun to watch--in fact, we saw more birds in the backyard than in any park we visited. The kitchen has every dish and gadget one could ever need, so we enjoyed eating many meals in. Bario Anita is an eclectic, fascinating neighborhood; be sure to check out Anita St. Market just down the street -- known for its tortillas (and the market is clearly very popular, with a line always at the door awaiting takeout fare). The beds and linens were top-notch. One note: there isn't a pool on the property, yet the homeowner graciously offered us a pass to a private club pool (we didn't take advantage of that). I'd definitely recommend the home if you're looking for local charm.

Wonderful Retreat
The house was incredible, beautifully furnished and decorated with no detail overlooked. The garden in the backyard was beyond amazing. I sat outside every morning enjoying the birds and flowers. We liked the trains which passed by often. Very close to downtown, restaurants and museums. We also drove to Saguaro National Park a few times. Mostly spent a lot of time in the house and it was so nice to relax in a retreat-like setting. My teen daughter was convinced we were at a private high-end resort. The personal details at check-in were so sweet and welcoming.

Cozy Casita
My husband and I spent Thanksgiving in this beautiful home with our two older daughters along with our pup. Check in was smooth. The casita was immaculate and well furnished to cook a thanksgiving meal. The backyard was an additional living space for us to enjoy. We spent every morning outside under one of the many seating areas. The fountain brought in so many birds to watch. There was a TV in one of the rooms off of the dining area but we never turned it on. Our evenings were spent cooking our meals, listening to music, playing board games and enjoying a drink outside. The beds were very comfy and the linen was very nice! The soaking tub was a plus too. The one thing I will point out is that this home is very close to the train tracks. So you will hear it at night. It is loud. There was a park close by to exercise our pup. There is a market down the street...Anita St. Market that sells the best tasting tortillas. This is an authentic neighborhood market. We bought tacos, beans , rice, and tortillas. Erica is a great hostess and communicates well with her guests. This was exactly the kind of stay we needed as a family. Thank you Erica! We will definitely stay with you again.

Beautiful Tucson home
This 1880 Tucson home is really lovely and very comfortable. The owner made our welcome special with personalized card and wine plus scrabble pieces with our names in each bedroom. The house is almost like a local museum with lots of beautiful local art and furniture. The outside yard is also terrific and we ate breakfast there each morning. Towels and linens were top quality and the kitchen had everything we needed. Close to Old Tucson whether we drove or walked although the immediate neighborhood was sparse. Do know that this home is close to a regularly running train which did not bother me at all but it may affect some. Two televisions but they did not work well if that is an issue for a renter. The owner was very responsive and helpful for suggestions as to places to dine.

Delightful backyard
We loved the house and our host. The only issue we had was the proximity of the trains that went by every hour or two 24 hours a day. Erica provides ear plugs but Jil never did sleep thru the night?!!

Adorable and Welcoming Home
We had a wonderful stay! Erica has an incredible eye for detail. The home is older but so very welcoming. Impeccably clean. The location is very close to the U of A and downtown areas. The other houses on the same street were not in the best condition, but there was absolutely no problem or safety concerns. The train (that others had posted about) wasn’t a big deal for us. Never waked us up, but is a busy railway. I especially appreciated the quality linens and the welcoming environment that Erica provided. It was so much better than staying in a hotel. Our family enjoyed hours of game playing on the table! :)

Great home!
This was a lovely home and you can tell the owner went out of their way to make it special. Love the neighborhood- it's got that Old Pueblo charm, it's quiet, but it's near everywhere you want to be. The house is clean and fully stocked with towels, bathroom necessities, even wine and chocolate. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic!
We are so glad that we chose this home! It was perfect for our Christmas holiday with our adult children. As soon as we entered, we felt how warm and welcoming it is. The beds are so comfortable and the attention to detail is fantastic! We especially loved the gorgeous backyard with all it’s seating areas. Making Christmas brunch with the family in the large kitchen will be one of my favorite memories. We will definitely be back!

Fun in Tucson
We had a great time in Tucson. The house is centrally located to explore the city and surrounding areas. The backyard is a mini oasis and the house is decorated with such a southwestern flair. The kitchen has everything anyone would want. The owners advance communications were great and the sightseeing and restaurant suggestions were great. The house is in a neighborhood that has a train that passes. The first time it went by we were concerned but it turned out to not be a distraction and is just part of Tucson and it’s history. We will definitely stay again!!

Urban Oasis Retreat
We came for a long weekend and wanted something more than just a hotel to stay in. My friends and family enjoyed the tasteful decoration and the fact that the house was well stocked with all of the creature comforts of home. There is nothing more comforting than knowing I didn’t have to run to the store to get anything beyond food. The house is spacious, and we we’re able to enjoy each other’s company comfortably, whether we were in the dinning room, or the patio area. It is a quiet neighborhood and we’re close to local dinning and shopping. It really was a “rare find” because of its charm, but you won’t mistaken the deliberate personal touches they maintain to make sure it won’t be forgotten.

Charming historic Barrio Anita home
I have been staying at this home for many years now. Erica is a delight to work with. All the conveniences of home are included in the amenities. It is within walking distance to downtown and all it has to offer in the way of restaurants, grocery stores and entertainment. The enclosed yard is beautiful to sit in for your morning coffee or late afternoon cocktail. I never tire of it

Quirky, comfortable, large and well stocked!
My husband and I, and our two grown daughters just spent a week at this Adobe home. The decor is very unique and very southwestern, and the home is spacious. There are many pluses.....master suite is very private and comfortable, kitchen is large and impressively well applianced, there is a laundry room with detergent, iron etc., the supply of towels, pillows, soaps etc. is more than ample, and there is a huge fenced in yard with multiple seating areas and all sorts of plants and cacti. On the downside, it is not in the best of neighborhoods and the trains run very nearby with loud whistles day and night. Also, there was only one working TV and that was in the master bedroom....which is not convenient for family gatherings🙁. A unique experience.

I have found my new Tucson home!!!! I dare write too much; at the risk it will never be available.
First and foremost; having raised my five daughters in Tucson, I love the downtown area; particularly the barrios. My cousin from Massachusetts (having never been to Tucson had no idea what to expect,) and was; perhaps admittedly a bit nervous when we pulled into the historic neighborhood. (What do you do - he's a yankee with a funky accent??)
We arrived to a BEAUTIFUL home; the lights were on; the a/c was on; a bottle of white wine with delicious TJ dark chocolates and a card. I immediately felt at home and comfortable. As we ventured into the backyard, (mind you; we arrived after 10 pm,) I was thrilled to again see the big AZ sky and was amazed at the beautifully landscaped yard - it truly was an oasis!!! Our first night, I decided I would be sleeping outside at least one night during the trip; despite how comfy the mattress and linens were.
The linens (my biggest "thing") were of the finest quality (although I did fly with my favorite down pillow (just in case,) and the home was very clean. There were plenty of cooking basics; but we did do some shopping so that I could do some cooking. However, with all the great restaurants so close by, I mainly just cooked breakfast before we headed out for the day.
If you're wanting to stay at a place with a great view, this probably isn't the place. However, if you want privacy; to feel the culture and history of what makes Tucson such a unique and wonderful city; stay within walking distance to our great city with the small city feel; the university, the awesome restaurants, unique shops, concert/theater venues, historic taverns and a great library, this is the place!! Not to mention; Erica is "pet friendly!!"
After all; Tucson is a "bicycle friendly" community and you could always bike to other places, and if you need a view, hike Sabino Canyon and drive up to Mount Lemon; take a drive to beautiful Patagonia; go to Nogales and get REALLY get educated about our nation's border issues; Flagstaff; A Mountain; not to forget, The Grand Canyon.
This home is unique, beautifully decorated, so homey and comfortable. Erica (although not nearby) was quickly available by phone, and as stated, typically returning approximately every 3 months (from Long Island,) I risk all this praise with the knowledge that I may be seriously jeopardizing my new Tucson home in the future. I have stayed at numerous other homes; all in the various barrios; NONE compare!!!
P.S. I did sleep outside for 1 night of our week's stay

Lovely historic home in the Anita Barrio
My family had a great time here at the miracle of the Barrio. The owner has remodeled and furnished the house beautifully. I can not find anything that could improve our stay within control of the owner. The beds were soft. The air conditioning worked very well. The home is very close to downtown shops and restaurants as well as the University. We enjoyed it immensely!
An external thing, I did not realize how close the trains were to the home but the owner provided ear plugs. It took some time to get used to the trains who sounded their horns consistently.
