lake view ! Quiet surroundings at night

No water kettle and no safe in the room. Some items in the room have already many years of use...

Our 3th stop on the Gipfeltrail with mtb. The view is epic. The Black Wald is impressive! We could drop the bikes in the garage. It is 100 m from the trainstation ( we got free travel tickets from the hotel) what is great if you want to stop the Gipfeltrail or start here. The room was large and comfortabel.

The restaurant was closed! The wellness is disappointing. The staf is young ,but sweet and trying there best. There is no ambiance, the hotel has no warmth, it has lost it's romantic hart. The hotel and the area around the hotel are neglected. Too bad :( you pay for the view, but the epic view is free in the black wald . It is really too expensive for what you (NOT!) get. Even the WiFi is terrible.

Shower floor must be made “non slip”.

Could have a bathtub, I didn’t like that exactly on our stay the bar and restaurant was closed (Ruhetag, 2 days). Price for little Dog was steep (20,00/night).

Nice room with this little corner surrounded nu windows where we could dit and enjoy the sun set. Breakfast was good. Enough variations, option for fresh fruits.

The restaurant was open only on Sunday during our stay, not on Monday and Tuesday. Being there with the motor cycle made it difficult in the evening to get food. We could go out for diner but cannot enjoy a beer or a glass of wine being on 2 wheels. On top the terrass was closed even for the guests and that was a shame since the weather was great.

everything about the property and people was great. room was clean and spacious with all I needed. had a lovely meal and drink and was well looked after by the polite and friendly staff. also the dip in the lake was very welcome on a very hot morning.

The hotel sits by Schluchsee and we have a very good view of the lake and the mountain in snowy or foggy weather. It is astonishingly beautiful. During our stay, we also used the breakfast and afternoon tea and cake there. The food, especially the cake, is delicious. The hotel staff treated us with care and patience. We also used the sauna in the hotel. It is definitely a good place to go in winter and in summer.

The hotel is unfortunately isolated from other restaurants and shops. During our stay, the hotel kitchen was closed due to Christmas break, so we had to go to restaurants that are miles away. The restaurants recommended by the hotel staff were all very nice. It is only a bit inconvenient that during winter times we cannot walk for long distances but had to take the hourly train or bi-hourly bus. We would recommend people to come by car here.

great location and size of the room and furnishing is great.. restrurant and terrace offers amazing view of the black forrest and beautiful lake. The hotel offered free train tickets for 2 days of our stay to travel in the entire region and that was a great suprise and very sweet deal.

restrurant can offer better variety of food and can be kept open longer duration. more light can be added to entrance of the hotel in the night.

The location of the hotel is amazing. The view from the room is really fascinating.

The breakfast is awful, the bread/eggs are not fresh. There is no assortment. The restaurant staffs from evening shift are unfriendly. We arrived to Hotel at 7.30 in evening and the staff let us wait until 8.30 however there are only less than 5 tables were serving. (Lack of manpower) Again We have to wait again at restaurant entrance around 10 minute. After that, at table we muss wait around 15 minute until the waitress come and gave the menu card. It is really careless and no customer service at all. There is no water inside the room and all beverage muss pay. I really doubt that the hotel is 4star.
