Exceptional central location in the best-known street of Catania, with even a view of Mount Etna in the distance. Spacious (triple) room with all the amenities as advertised. Good breakfast selection. Friendly staff.

The room on the second floor is served by a lift (elevator). However, the layout of the building is such that the lift does not stop on the first floor where there is the reception, and breakfast is served. This meant that we still had to use the stairs. They told us that this situation is to be rectified soon.

Beautiful old fashioned hotel in the center of the city. Seems to have been a former 19th Century luxury apartments converted to a hotel

loud, not a real shower, no operating tv just static and stairs that you have to walk up with your luggage. Also hard to get someone to answer the door. Beautiful building but they have to change all of these things. If they put a real shower, working tvs then this will be a much better experience.

The location was very convenient. The room/bathroom were nice. And the staff very friendly. All of this for a decent price.

The room I had (on the back side of the building) was not quiet at all: music, loud voices, dishes noise, etc until 1am. The mattress was kind of old (quite collapsed).

Fred (Federico) was the kindest and most helpful member of staff on reception. During the visit, I wasn't too well and he went over and above to make sure I was OK. His kindness ensured the trip went well. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly. There is a lovely outside patio area for breakfast and afternoon relaxation. The hotel is very well positioned for the centre and the main shopping area.

Some of the fittings are a little bit old fashioned.

I specifically asked for no stairs and we had to go up and down a flight of stairs plus 10 steps carrying luggage.

A very clean hotel and well situated

Location was good - on airport bus route, and when leaving we caught a bus from outside the hotel to get to the train station. Breakfast was good, and there was a great terrace to eat it on, cool in the morning.

Our room was on the 2nd floor, but overlooking the main street the Via Etnea, which was convenient, but also a bit noisy.

Location

WIFI connection was not able to be reached with the room. In the hallway or outside on the balcony was sometimes available, but that is a big flaw. Room smelt like smoke, not just by the small balcony. It was intense the moment you opened the door. The bed was EXTREMELY HARD and the room temperature never became comfortable, even when set to the lowest temperature possible. Providing the room key prior to leaving the hotel was strange, and made me uneasy about our room safety. 24 Hour desk person, two doors gated helped calm some of that worry. The price was rather on the lower end, so the ultimate outcome is...you get what you paid for. I just would have hoped for better services for this day in age for a 3 star hotel, WIFI, AC, smoke free smell and a bed that would be more modern in comfort. It did not budge a hair when sat on.

the location is very central to all touristic attractions, the hotel staff speaks English and the breakfast is very decent.

Via Etnea is a very central road and quite noisy. the windows of our room were old and couldn’t close properly. this meant noise and cold in our room during the night.
