The room (a suite as a birthday treat) was big and spacious and my request for a shower rather than a bath due to mobility problems was accommodated at the booking stage and a message sent back to me. The bed was comfortable. The reception staff on check in and check out were friendly and nice but I have to give special mention to Shanie who helped me carry my bowl at breakfast as I walk with a stick. She then found out it was my birthday and arranged a piece of cake, resting on fresh roses with a sparkler ! What a lovely surprise! Shanie is a real credit to the Hotel as she is friendly, caring and constantly smiling - thanks Shanie!

The window sill next to the bed had sugar or salt all over it! Not great when you are unpacking. The glasses in the bathroom had been set upside down on the shelf wet, so had dried and stuck to the tiles. The fruit bowl was a nice touch but some of the fruit look a bit old. We went for breakfast at 9am (we were told it went on until 11am) and there were gaps in the small buffet that were not filled as the hotel was obviously not full. My hot breakfast consisted of just 2 rashers of bacon which was all that was left, although there were a lot of scrambled eggs which I don’t like much and especially when they have been out on the hot plate for a while. I had to settle for a couple of bits from the cold cuts that were left and my partner had to get me some bread as it had been placed out of reach by a waiter - there was a wedding happening later in the day and it felt like the breakfast room was being prepared for that so there was no sense of being able to take a leisurely breakfast. There was no place set for us in the main room and any vacant tables were still covered in dirty dishes from other guests, so we sat ourselves in a smaller side room that was still set from dinner the night before. Considering the price of the room I was expecting a great breakfast with all choices available but it was a real let down. As a birthday treat it fell flat and it was only Shanie’s thought that saved it a little but for the hotel to not cater for all guests at breakfast even to suggest cooking to order for the last couple was too far a stretch. Would I go back? I would think twice now.

The hotel is located in front of a lake with excellent views and nice walks. Parking is available in front of the hotel for free Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. It was a nice stay with kids. Breakfast is good.

The restaurant is elegant and food is tasty but it doesn't justify the expensive prices. The restaurant is overpriced.

This is a super hotel with lovely facilities and great bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent with much choice.

Although our booking for three rooms was confirmed, we were only offered two rooms on arrival. The matter was successfully resolved with the assistance of the Hotel Manager

Location on the lake was beautiful. Rooms were super comfortable, clean and lovely. We had a double in the attic space and this was really lovely. We only did one night so it was perfect and we would go back. Great breakfast and attentive service. Very close to the Dam at Mohnesee so great for visiting. Parked right outside the front door - lots of parking.
