Nous avons apprécié la destination, comme un moment suspendu. À la nuit tombée la maison d’hôtes était éclairée avec des bougies, idem dans les chambres. Bref, un lieu incroyable. Merci à Mohamed et Simon pour l’accueil.

Noc w tym obiekcie to coś wiecej niż przerwa techniczna w podróży. To przeżycie jedyne w sobie. Brak prądu , wszędzie świece, kolacja pyszna , ścniadanie cudowne. Pokoje proste funkcjnalne, przestrzenie współne piękne i zadbane.

The staff was really welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the area and property was very peaceful and beautiful!

A very special place to stay, romantic, entirely candle-lit, with all the quirkyness of staying in a centruries-old kasbah. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast and beautiful settings. Crossing the dried-up river bed by foot in the moonlight (only approach possible to this perfectly quiet village with no traffic) was an extra plus to a truly romantic experience.

Tout est fabuleux dans la Kasbah : du propriétaire, au personnels, au bâtiment, à l'oasis, au jardin/piscine. Un vrai palais et jardin d'eden.
Rien à dire.

Really great stay. If you’re looking for a different experience unique to Morocco (and specifically Ait Benhaddou), this is where you should be staying. I was quite apprehensive initially because the pictures didn’t look very appealing but that’s because of the lighting and they do look much better in person (although I understand that many rooms were very recently renovated and we stayed in those). Of course, it’s not as well-equipped as a hotel but it is very adequate and staying at a unesco heritage site (in ait benhaddou itself) is a once in a lifetime experience you won’t get at a hotel.

LOCATION IS AMAZING - directly inside the Kasbah. Okay, first of all this is NOT a hotel, it is an experience. It is authentic and makes you feel like you are living in a traditional Kasbah. It is GREAT!!!! The host met us at parking lot which was very close and helped us with bags. We walked 400 metres from parking lot (which is VERY easy to find) across dry river bed to entrance - which is very clearly marked and easy to find. Our room had. a decent bed, decent linen, a terrace with lovely view, small bathroom, towels, bedding were fine. There is no electricity they say, but we had plugs in our room that worked so we could charge our batteries for phone, camera etc. - however there are no lights, so they supply you with candles. Wifi was intermittent but we had it enough of the time. Shower was fine but they do not supply shampoo or body wash, just liquid soap for hands. The breakfast was simple, with good coffee and nice local breads, jam & honey. Dinners were great - the kefta tajine was one of the best I had and made with love by Mohammed (2) the chef who is a wonderful kind person who sat with us and spoke to us about Amazigh culture. He made our stay even better than we expected and we feel he is our good friend in Ait Ben Haddou. This is a once in a lifetime place to visit and we can not be more pleased by this experience. When we left a donkey took our bags back to our car. You have to pay the parking lot attendant to watch your car - but it is what you can afford. We gave him 20MAD. STAY HERE! YOU WILL NOT REGRET YOUR EXPERIENCE!
The sink was shallow in our room so water sprayed - but it can be easily fixed.

Location was unique and excellent! It's not often you get to stay overnight in an UNESCO World Heritage site, and staying in candlelit bedrooms was special. Mohamed was a great host - friendly and helpful throughout. We didn't opt for the dinner because we were ready for a break from the tangines, but the setting for the meal was really cool.
Not much. Mohamed provided great instructions for parking and getting to the kasbah. It's about a 5-7 minute walk. Do know that the path, which includes crossing a dry riverbed, is not ideal for classic pull behind luggage. We carried/rolled our luggage ourselves, but Mohamed does offer to have someone assist if needed.

Everything was perfect! From start to finish.
Mohamed arranged everything he is awesome.
Transportation at correct prices.
He has a great family and is a superb cook.
The kasbah is one of the few authentic places left. Candlelights everywhere. Beautifull and clean place. Its like staying in a movie. Just perfect.
Nothing!

Staying in a 400 years Kasbah in a UNESCO site. Both Game of Throne and Gladiator’s episodes were filmed over there.
Mohamed and his team are warm and super nice hosts.

It's in a perfect location to visit Ait Ben Haddou and it's a privilege to stay in a traditional Moroccan kasbah within a UNESCO world heritage site. Dinner was very nice and the hosts were friendly.
We were in Morocco for 10 days so got a good feel for the accommodation and this was out least favourite one. For what you get, this place is a bit overpriced (yes yes, Unesco, upkeep, authentic experience - i understand). Breakfast was just a crepe and coffee and not as good as all the other places we stayed. We stayed in a standard double which is in a separate building close to very noisy farm animals and the room was quite small which meant the candles and tiny windows made it super hot and the candle fumes did not dissipate. The deluxe rooms in the main building looked much better. Dinner was delicious but we were sat in a dining on our own while all the other guests ate in the main area which was weird. The hosts were friendly but not as amazing as other places we stayed.

Worth the premium to maintain this Kasbah and for an authentic experience. THE place to stay, this side of the riverbed in the old town. There is parking in the "new" town for a reasonable fee. The Kasbah itself is magical with candlelight (be aware, electricity available only to charge phones, but wifi is available) which adds to its charm. Owners very friendly and informative. Lovely candelit dinner and breakfast outside with outstanding views. Ideal location for sunrise (walk to top of the hill) for a tourist free experience of this remarkable place.
Worth checking out locally made carpets at their shop next door!

we were welcomed with Moroccan tea and snacks. The place gives you a unique stay away from the city hassles.. The owners were lovely and hosted us in their heritage home. They were very sweet and loving persons.. if you are looking for a unique and different experience! hands down this is your stay.. look no further
Amazing!!!!!! I do not have any cons

A magical location - a kasbah in the middle of a UNESCO world heritage site. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the food is great: dinner by candlelight in the evening, breakfast on the terrace in the morning. The rooms are beautifully decorated and in an amazing historic building. There's no electricity (we knew this before arriving), but that just makes the atmosphere in the evening even more wonderful.
Couldn't have improved anything.

exceptional view - amazing efforts By Mohamed and his brother to keep alive the family house. Friendly, modest, plenty of details. Love it and go there to support a local entrepreneur. solar electricity so not always available. We used candles the night we stay - romantic ! don't expect facilities of an urban accommodation - this is pretty much in the middle of a wonderful nowhere. The view and Unesco world heritage place is worth every penny.

The warmth and the hospitality of the owners, the natural materials, the authenticity and the uniqueness of the landscape, of the construction and the people.

Everything was authentic and rustic: the architecture, interiors, staff and food.
we did not get the room that we originally ordered, however it was spacious, beautifully and traditionally decorated.

This is a fantastic location with super beautiful views and location which is inside the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and very close to that famous gate where they shot a lot of films. The hotel was lit by candlelight and the luxury double has a terrace so it gave a very quaint and welcoming atmosphere. Their food is amazing as well with high-class quality, especially the vegetable spicy soup. yummy
The only downside is that when the English speaking staff are away the rest staff can’t speak English at all and this might cause a little bit inconvenience like we had. We arrived at a bad timing when the English speaking hosts are away and we were a little confused with the room we booked and the room we assigned and there’s a bit difficulty to solve this issue. but luckily the host tried to come back asap and solved our issue. it’s our mistake.

Best dinner I've ever had in Maroc, nice host
Cold room, and the host increased the price at the moment to pay (from 72€ to 84€), quite upset

Incredible. Inside the old walled town, one of only two properties that permit staying inside the town. You give up electricity and WiFi, but the candlelit stays and gorgeous architecture more than make up for it. The food is amazing as well. The chef will make delicious tagines to your preference :)

Everything. The hospitality, the generosity, the flexibility. It’s like a dream, the decoration, the views, the building, how well preserved is. The food is incredible, one of the best I ever tried in Morocco and the chef Lotfi is an amazing person.
Mohamed, the owner is super kind and generous. Definitely we’ll come again. An unforgettable experience.

Featuring perhaps the most atmospheric and romantic setting of any lodging I've ever stayed in, Kasbah Tebi is truly for those seeking to immerse themselves in an ancient atmosphere. This is a place to cut yourself off from the world for a day or two. Once the day trippers have gone home, you will have one of the world's most extraordinary Unesco world heritage sights virtually to yourself under the most glorious stars imaginable. The building itself exceeds anything you might have in your imagination as an architectural wonder, and a candlelit dinner here will remain in the mind forever.
The single room, nested in the core of the ancient mud brick structure, was very small and dark. If I return, I would choose an outside double because even by daylight the single felt like staying inside an ancient tomb. Of course, if that's what you're looking for, the silence and total darkness will be an extraordinary experience.

What a privilege to be able to stay in Ait Benhaddou - when all the tourists were going back across the stepping stones over the river we were left to ponder what delights the cook would be making for our dinner. A fantastic experience staying in this family run guest house - Hassam and Mohammed couldn't have been more helpful - advising on the local area and a great walk along the dry river bed, arranging a taxi in to Ouarzazate and arranging a taxi back to Marrakech. El Tebi only has a few lights so the bedrooms and dining room are lit by candles- magical going down to dinner to find the tables and sideboards lit by candles. There is a phone charging station however. The views from the balcony outside our room were stunning - palm trees and tamarisk in the foreground and red rock and buildings in the background. Although we only spent two nights there, we felt very sorry to leave.
In January, although it was 15 degrees during the day with amazing blue sky and sun, it was windy which made it colder and at night it went down to 3 degrees. It is quite cold in el tebi so you need a lot of warm clothes for dinner - we had a gas heater and blankets in our room so it was really cosy in there.

The owner and the chef were very nice. The food was good. It did have a romantic atmosphere.
I wish we could have eaten when other people weren’t eating to avoid covid. However, they did make a separate table for us. We like electricity more than we realized. It is hard to do things in the semi-darkness.

Authentic and beautifully decorated kasbah in the most iconic traditional town, wonderful hosts and great food. Most people stay in the new town across the river - so you will Ha e the place to yourselves at night if you stay here!

The Kasbah is nice but very cold at night! We stayed in the Kasbah near the main one which turned out to have no electricity!!! Despite all the blankets we were very cold. It was pricy for a room without electricity!

Very atmospheric with everything candle lit at night and the most genuine of our stays in Morocco - friendly staff, great dinner and breakfast. Luggage is picked up on a mule from the main car park.

We loved our stay at Kasbah Tebi! It is very beautiful and suits the old village of Aït Ben Haddou.
Our room was beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style.
There is no electricity in the room, but you can light the room with candles. Which makes it an even more special experience. But don't worry about you phones and cameras, it's possible to charge your electronic devices at the reception.
We also chose to have dinner here AND so glad we did that. They served a traditional three-course meal, which was more than perfect and tasted very very well! Also the breakfast was made and served with the same love and tasted very well.
But above all: we would like to thank this lovely family for making our stay perfect!
If you want to overnight in the beautiful village of Aït Ben Haddou don't look further, cause Kasbah Tebi is the place to be!
Kind regards,
Anthonius & Kim

This is a really special place - almost no elictricity and a lot of candles - but thats the charme! The old kasbah is beautiful and you're right in the old town! Dinner was good with a little concert included!

Amazing place! a very authentic experience. We did this instead of a day trip and the Kasbah staff helped us find a local driver to take us from-to Marrakesch. Everyone was super friendly and we slept really well. You can really see the stars at night. Food was very delicious! We also had a camel ride a few steps from the Kasbah, and the staff helped us by calling them because they had left. They can charge your phone at reception and there's wifi there as well.
Everything was perfect :)
