the rooms were a little basic and it was a but stuffy without air conditioning

Wonderful location with beautiful view. Nice combination of ancient parts and contemporary design. Correct dinner.

It was extremely warm in the room but could not open the window because of the noise from the motorway directly below the Castle. No air conditioning available. Car parking remote. Poor consideration of the staff for the well-being of the guests. As soon as reached the restaurant, we were urged and stressed to change the parking slot (even correctly parked) to accommodate for gardening. This changed the course of our morning and breakfast moment: instead of pleasant one we were looking forward, it turned to be very stressful:-(

The building and the view.

They had breakfast rooms but the staff served breakfast at the reception. In the morning you took your bread at the very same place you get the keys and pay the bill later and eat in the entrence hall. It must be more convenient for the staff.

It's would be helpful at the unmanned reception in the morning having sign to contact the friendly lady in the breakfast room for paying the room.

Breakfast

This property disappointed. The building has been refurbished extensively and is now like a conference centre. The staff were limited and there was no restaurant dinner and breakfast was located next to the reception area with no character. No iron in the rooms and due to road works a long walk from the car park. After such excitement of staying in a schloss it was a big disappointment

The castle is super charming and the view is spectacular! The staff is great and friendly. Breakfast was simple but delicious. The room is also pretty good and as it shows in the pictures.

The bathroom was terrible. It looks super cheap compared to the room. Didn’t fit at all and not welcoming. There are curtains all around the shower and when you shower you get the bathroom completely wet.

Perfect for been g outdoor activity and relaxation. A fantastic view for meditation and much more. Loved the Castle environment.

It's an old Castle and located at that above the lake barely to top.

Beautiful view and interesting property

Excellent location with great views, also the room with mountain view is worth staying. Staff will happely open a wine bottle even if you just want to drink a glass - even if the wine is not on the wine by the glass menu. There is also a nice honesty bar with a good selection of drinks.

There seems to be a culture of urgeing the guest to leave the room after finishing the meal. We where ask twice - after dinner and also breakfast - to take the drinks and to go somewhere else.

Had a lovely relaxing stay. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Great facilities, helped by pleasant weather meaning could make the most of the outside terrace. Was in a single room but not at all cramped. Modern, light and very clean. I would definitely visit again. For some, the menu options for dinner may seem limited. However, as a vegetarian, I was more than satisfied with the choices available, and great continental breakfast too. Super location for some lovely long walks down by the lake or up in the hills and forest.

Beautiful historic castle with wonderful outside area / tables with panoramic views of the Bodensee - perfect for an apero. Wonderful view of the Bodensee from our bedroom. Bed and linen very good. Service in restaurant was good - lady was lovely. Dinner tasty.

Bathroom very small with shower without a cabinet so floor gets wet. Breakfast was nice apart form the scrambled eggs which looked like rubber and miserable. Motorway is directly below the castle although well shielded but some noise. (Could not hear anything from the room with the window shut). My steak was served on a side plate which rather spoilt the presentation!!

But inside it’s more modernly decorated. Room was spacious. The views from outside are amazing but from our room not so impressive.

The parking just in front of the hotel was hard to find. We ended up leaving the car downhill and carrying our heavy suitcases up.

Location, nice breakfast, lovely garden with fantastic view

The dinner menu style could be improved given the nice location.
