Booking.com forces you to pick a check in time .. not necessary as this creates confusion for guest and host

Everything was fantastic.

Our host was proactive and communicative. He warned us as early as he could during the day that he might be there to welcome us when we arrived since he had an emergency in a neighbouring town to attend to. He arranged for a third party to welcome us in his absence, but as it turned out, he pulled up just after we arrived. He was hospitable and friendly. The room was impeccably clean. It was our first "shared" bathroom accommodation on our Camino trek, and it was spotlessly clean.

Bathroom small. Bedroom small. No fan and opening window introduced flies and noise and mosquitoes. Hard to locate managers to open room.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Pension Amets. Jose and his staff are wonderful hosts! Checking-in was easy, accommodations were clean, comfortable and quiet and breakfast was beyond expectations! Very delicious and generous! If we ever return to Zubiri, we will just definitely stay there.

Good breakfast, served by the hosts...

The hosts are wonderful, very welcoming and attentive. The location is close to the Camino. Very quiet neighborhood. Rooms are spotless. Breakfast is well worth the 5 Euros.

Rooms are small. The hook for the shower head hose was broken. Only one long pillow, for two people, in the Queen sized bed.

Took some effort to get checked in. The host lives not far from there but we didn’t know how/where to check in. Some other guest finally helped us and walked us to their house. There was a sign there but could have been more clear.
