Our own easy access to the beach plus the pool is wonderful. And we had front row seats to fireworks from the pier. Easy access to the strip for shopping, groceries, etc. and we found out (unfortunately ) easy access to the hospital. There were a few minor issues like wifi didn't work for a couple days which hampered working family members, but Beach Realty is VERY responsive and took care of our needs right away. The upstairs living area was perfect for our 12 person party. Sunrises were incredible, Booty Treats is in walking distance and this was an epic family vacation.

Kitchen: The stove was covered in grime, and clearly the countertops were not cleaned prior to our arrival. There was ketchup (or something) in the drawer to the left of the stove, where the oven gloves were also coated in something. The limited kitchen/cooking utensils provided was disappointing (and a struggle) for a home of this size and capacity. Both refrigerators were missing shelves which limited the amount of food and beverages we were able to store. Just about everything was old, dirty and worn.Outdoor bathroom was filthy with black mold everywhere.Used dog bones and piles of sand all over the pool area.House smelled.Many light bulbs didn't work.Black mold in some of the interior showers.Extremely worn and loose exterior deck boards including stair risers that were unsafe.Gate to the beach was broken and falling off.Cracked tiles all over the basement.Both sets of laundry machines were broken and ate clothing which ruined them.Stained and nasty carpets and upper floor couch was just gross.Some windows permanently fogged over hampering beach view.Overall very poor quality and condition, this house needs a major refurbishing. Would not recommend to anybody, especially considering the high price to rent.

Reviewer Comments: First, let us say that the location of the house is stellar; close to just about everything and the pub across the street (Lucky 12) is awesome.The beach views were grand and it simply was a very very nice location. Some of the decor is fantastic (great murals!).We have stayed at other properties by the same owner and thought this would be on par, but there was some disappointment.The house is starting to show its age and the lack of upkeep and overall “small” touches that make a house great were lacking. Not sure if it an ownership or home management issue. Other houses we’ve been to at least give you a starter kit of dish soap, towels, toilet paper, etc.; this place had nothing. The carpet is kind of gross, and we get that it was the end of the season, but it really needs to be updated. The couch on the main level is also gross and flipping cushions only shows worse wear. Ewww. One dishwasher did not work, one coffee maker did not work, and the stereo did not work. Once plus was the cable had all of the channels to include premium movie channels. There is PLENTY of seating for a meal inside, but to enjoy sunrise or gaze at the ocean outside is a disappointment. Only TWO deck chairs (high-top) up top other than the four table chairs which sit below the rail. No matter, six chairs does not cut it for a place that can hold so many. The bathrooms are kind of old with cracked tiles, the decks are splintery , and the hot tub cover weighs a lot and is tattered and not easy to get off. When we did get into the hot tub the water was WAY down (had to add it) and there were no chlorine tabs in the dispenser leaving us to wonder when it was last serviced. A bag of house linens sat in the carport for most of the week. We won’t mention in detail the terrible bed in one master room and a strange contraption on the ceiling that left us in wonder. We won’t be back to this one and have to think hard about the other sister properties.

There was always plenty of space to relax, sleep and enjoy all the amenities. Loved the dog play/pee area...plenty big and made letting them out easy and leash-free. The walk to the beach was a breeze and nice to leave all of our beach supplies each day on the landing deck near the beach. The views on the upper deck are spectacular-loved viewing the pier each day and watching gorgeous sunrises and moonlight over it. We loved the location as well, it's close to grocery stores, outlets and fun excursions like putt putt/rope climb. Overall, this was a perfect week for us and we would come back to this house again.

We had approximately 20 people and several dogs *it's dog friendly too!!!* and there was ample room for everyone to gather together or spread out if people needed some space. Our only disappointment was that we were supposed to have a heated pool available, but the pool was out of service. The younger folks that were with us were very upset by this, especially since the houses on both sides had working pools and have people enjoying them. The house was clean overall, though we slept in the master on the top level and the ceiling fan in there had not been dusted in quite some time. One dishwasher was in pretty bad shape, the handle had been broken off. There were a few other maintenance issues, but they were addressed quickly by the management company. The final negative was the parking situation. 4 cars could get in but then were stuck unless everyone behind them backed out. The bushes at the sidewalk made backing out difficult because of vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic.Overall, it was a great house and we appreciated the fact it was so dog friendly and oceanfront. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal there, there was plenty of space for everyone to sit and eat.

This is a good Beach House with decent accommodations for a large group of people. The house and pool area were clean and the AC worked well for such a large house. Access to the beach is great and the location on Nags Head is convenient to everything.The house is dated however and could use some general maintenance and updating. The TVs are really a joke. The main TV is something my kids have in their rooms at home. My Mac air is bigger than the TVs in the bedrooms. Not important to some or perhaps most so just mentioning. The decking and outside stairs and pathway to the beach need general maintenance as several nails protrude and caught my daughters leg. Up on the upper patio there are several loose boards again with nails protruding. The washer and dryer combinations are older and in our case tended to eat cloths rather than wash them. we were looking forward to playing some Bbal but the rim was broken and not able to be played. We did play some volleyball however. The microwave tended to fry most of what we put in it and we could not figure out what we were doing wrong. Lastly, the sink in the master was actually a contemporary bowl however the execution of bowl and spigot did not work well as you tended to soak all that was around the bowl within about 6 inches or so.So, again, 4 stars for the good things mentioned in the first paragraph. Also no hot water issues during showers and dishes etc. However I'm not sure I would do this house again for the $$$$ price paid.Family had a good time and we'll return to the Outer Banks.Thanks

When we arrived the back patio was covered in water because someone turned on the hose to fill the hot tub up then just left it running. The safety alarms to the pool area didn't work and we had small kids. I called right away about these things but needless to say their only concern was if water made it in the house. We never heard anything back so we had to go to Lowes and by a squeegee and our own alarms for the back door. Things only got worse. It looked like they hadn't dusted in months. There were nasty stains on the mattress cover which came out when we washed it. There was hair in the showers and beds and the shower in the big master bedroom has mold around it. The counters and tables we sticky we basically had to clean this house ourselves. Then finally on Monday 2 days after arriving and calling someone came to check the alarms on the doors which then they were mad because we already took care of it. Then later someone came to check the hot tub which had a leak that we had been having to keep away from electric cords on the ground for the past 2 days because our issues we had been calling about right after arriving had gone unanswered. Needless to say we didn't call about anything else because it was pointless.

We had to call and text repeatedly to get attention and then had to be around the house to let in the electrical guys and deal with them running about the house to repair the issue.

We had two sinks that were so clogged they didnt drain. I should have taken a picture of the stuff that came out. Would make you sick. Also two toilets that were not properly secured to the floor and rocked. Had to be around and deal with that mid day Sunday.

Then there was mold in 5 showers. We had to call/ text again and then accommodate cleaning staff on Tuesday.

The dryer didnt work properly and the oven took 2 hours to bake a lasagna. We found stuff under the furniture.
Oven was filthy and one stove burner did not work. Kitchen equipment had apparantly been sourced from the local thrift shop- in other words cheap ****- also not clean.
No instructions from the owners re: the use of TVs. No one in our party was familiar with Roku- it required a pin # for streaming from my accounts. Also, internet tv with spotty internet makes for a poor viewing experience. The lack of cable TV is inexcusable and completely took us by suprise. Upper deck, front steps (one of which was very loose), and dune stairs were all in poor condition.
Some of the furnishing are quite worn and need to be replaced such as chairs, countertops, and carpets/ rugs.
I never did get hot water from my bathroom sink- plenty in the shower- which indicates a possibly unsafe crossover in the supply lines.
I've had better accomodations at OBX for much less $ in the past.
I would have no problem with any of these issues separately, but together it becomes so obvious that the property is being managed on the cheap. This house is not properly cared for, and it isnt the job of the renters to trouble shoot these problems.

Another great trip to the outer banks. House was well represented in pictures. Some items were dusty but overall house was clean and in decent shape. Bedsheets and shower / bath towels provided but recommend bringing your own sheets and pillow cases. Rooms were as described and in pictures. WiFi was there but signal wasn’t strong enough or fast enough for the kids to play their online games with laptop. Volleyball net and playing area was really great. It was ample space for 8 vs 8. Pool table was in ok shape for a bar pool table. Ping pong table if you want to use has to be mounted on top of pool table. That wasn’t in great shape. Air conditioning worked well throughout the house. Ground floor and 2nd floor were nice and cool. Top floor was ok due to the kitchen and ovens in use. Lowest temp available was 70 degrees. Outside pool and hot tub were great for the kids. Beach access was great, water was clear, waves very fun, and overall not crowded. There is a refrigerator on the top floor and an ok refrigerator on the ground floor. The “bad” - during our stay the downstairs refrigerator and freezer had an issue and we lost some of our food due to this. It took 24 hours for repair person to come and fix a part that started the compressor. - during the stay the top floor air conditioning stopped working due to the flood pan filling up. We reported this around 2 pm but no one was able to come and fix this until the next morning. It was an unpleasant night as the top floor had all the eating areas and kitchen. - the beach really as awesome but be warned there are times where there are a lot of jelly fish and you will get stung. Ive been to OBX a few times now and never had this issue until this trip. It was bad enough that we left the beach each time it happened. Overall: great house, well represented, would repeat. Few issue but that’s life…

The layout of the house was ideal for large group with different wake up times. The kitchen was well equipped with necessities. All bedrooms and bathrooms were as advertised. The lower level game room was small (hard to do more than just play billiards there). The pool was a good size for 10 kids ages 4 to 10. The house location was great for walking to a few restaurants and ice cream. No gas grill with house, so we had to rent one to be delivered.

This was a great house but couldn't find anything to clean floors with. We broke something that was glass and there were no brooms anywhere. Also would have vacuumed had we known where the vacuum was. I know we are on vacation but if we has a broom and vacuum it would have made the turn over easier. Also kept getting splinters from the wood deck. Ouch.

The new pool deck and yard are lovely. It’s a perfect location on the beach.
