The evening meal was very nice
The breakfast was terrible. The hotel needs a update. Especially the bathroom

friendliest welcome of our trip so far by the host! Hotel is a little dated in places but rooms were lovely and comfortable and had a fridge (bonus!). pretty little town on the edge of the fjord. hotel is a stones throw from the waters edge and the ferry terminal. out of season so only a couple of options for dinner - homemade meatballs or fish cakes, but huge portions! breakfast was included and bacon and eggs cooked especially for us, along with the usual continental options.
appears to be used by road workmen during the off season, which is fine, except their big work trucks were parked outside our window blocking our view of the fjord (though I didn’t hear them return at 7am.

Staff was just the kindest ever. I loved their professionalism, passion and knowledge about the place.

Starting with lovely breakfast finishing with great "norwegian dinner" and lovely pizza ❤️
Our dog was very welcome and free of charge! (She even managed to scrounge some liver paste 😉)
Double parking(cause we came with the trailer) wasn't a problem.
The building is really old (there is no doubt when you walk in) and could use a hand of handyman ;-)

Staff was super nice. They were busy with a weeding but found the time to make me feel welcome. Bed was very comfortable and the out of sight parking was spot on.

The place has a certain charm, it's not renovated but please don't and better try to maintain your existing stuff, I would have loved to have the old radio working in the room

Nice location near the water. The hotel manager was very nice and made us a great dinner even though we arrived late.
The hotel needs major updating; would have been fine except the charge for the room was as high as nicer hotels we stayed at (should reduce the rate to match the property in my opinion).

Hotel was clean, had friendly stuff and good food
directly outside the hotel on the street were some youngsters driving up and down the road nearly half the night engines roaring - but that’s not the hotel’s fault

the location, people and owner was very sociable, trying very hard seriously overworked after COVID-19
The hotel is very run down. The room needs serious repairs and updating. Not enough hotel staff, the hotel grounds need a serious clean up of rubbish. all bike's need a service The room did not match the booking. com description . over 1 hour and 30 min to be served the main course.

Let's start at the beginning during check in. The woman who recieved us was not very welcoming.. i already said in norsk that I have a reservation and she just looked at me stunned.. and then asked me if i ordered a room and i said yes.. and then she asked me again.. it took a while.. i don't know if she's new or what.. after a long trip i just wanted to rest. Then she asked if we wanted dinner and so i asked if theres a menu and she was like no but we have this this and this.. am I suppose to remember all of that?? And i asked her if there's restaurants nearby and she just answered with I don't know..didn't even bother to find out. I don't know if it's just me but aren't people who works in the hotel industry suppose to recommend? Talk about service. There were also dirty bedsheets on the corridor to think it's very strict nowadays due to corona. Dusty rooms. Not even a soap in the bathroom. Not alot of choices for breakfast.Dry bread. Got served 1 small PIECE OF BURNT BACON. Not even 2 pcs. So I must say that i'm very disappointed. Bad service for a 3 star hotel.
