Lovely stuff! We got a quite dark room with a small window so we asked for a replacement. The stuff was happily to help us, and gave a different room (room on the 3rd floor without an elevator, but still a nice one). Clean, comfortable, nice breakfast, plenty of parking places. Definitely worth the price!

We stayed in another building and not in the main hotel. The shower was a disaster - no drainage, water everywhere, and filth bubbling onto our feet. You are required to cook your own eggs (if you want an English breakfast).

The breakfast was good and the location close to Hulst Vesting is also good.

We were charged €123 for the night which I would have been happy to pay if the room we booked was the room we got. However we did not get the room we booked. We were asked to go to another building where the rooms are clearly of a much lower standard than the main building. The pictures we saw on the booking.com website did not match the actual room we got, especially as far as the bathroom was concerned. The room was not soundproofed and the flushing and shower from the room above was very audible every time they were used. Anyone speaking in the corridor or going down the stairs was also very audible, making our stay quite disappointing, considering the price we paid. When informed about this, the hotel did not offer a discount. When Booking.com were informed they were also unhelpful and they simply referred me back to the hotel. I rarely write bad reviews but this time, I must highlight this bad experience both in terms of the hotel and in terms of booking.com which we n fact offers no guarantee of what they are actually advertising. UPDATE: Hotel management called be back a day later and compensated with €25 cash back and a 20% discount on a future stay should we wish to go back. I appreciated their call and their honest reaction to our complaint.

The hotel has very good public areas - i.e. the breakfast room and a sunny terrace with bar service. Staff member Isabel was fantastic - so helpful and helped us book a restaurant. We were travelling by bicycle and made use of the hotel's secure bike store, which was great. The hotel stairs are very steep and the steps very shallow. Anyone with mobility problems should definitely use the lift!

Breakfast was lovely. The coffee was AMAZING!! Best hotel coffee I've ever had. The staff were very friendly and they even let me have some take away coffee for the road :-) Lovely views from bedrooms.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good and had nice options, not only the basic options. But location was very good.

The walls were a bit thin. The soap/shampoo had very masculine smell.
