Nice location across street from the lake

A surprise chance find: a period hotel en route to the north of Italy. Arrived late in day so didn't appreciate it fully until the next day. Own private parking, nearby electric charging points (for electric cars, very important!) very reasonable price (albeit off-season), huge bedroom and bathroom (rarity these days!), good working wifi, amazing dining room and breakfast. What more could one want?

Coffee & tea making facilities in bedroom (although these are rare these days)

Super comfortable and well appointed room in a nice hotel. Everyone was very helpful, professional and welcoming. It was very clean. It is a few steps to the lakeside front and we enjoyed a swim in the morning. Breakfast was extensive and good value

Our only disappointment was the cheap coffee at breakfast. Italy does the best coffee in the world and it would have been nice to have good quality coffee in the hotel.

Dated but very big room. Breakfast is prepared early in the morning so at 8:45 if all if the eggs have been eaten, you’re out of luck. No big deal because there were other options.

this hotel has old world charm. it is classic, elegant, full of style and glamour…but best of all, the staff treats every guest as if they were the only guest. they always take time to respond to your questions or needs and make sure they have fulfilled your request. they do not rush off to the next person until they know you are satisfied. the breakfast buffet is unbeatable and the dining area both indoors and out are beautiful. I look forward to returning.

It’s proximity to the beach in a lovely part of Italy.

The air conditioning was appalling. The en-suite was very small.

Very friendly and professional staff, brilliant location by the port and the beach, bars and restaurants. Free and secure parking. Use of sister hotel swimming pool just around the corner.

Air conditioning In room could have worked better

The air conditioning was very poor and not able to cope with the outside temperature resulting in very poor sleep. The hotel also turned off the air condition when you were not in our room. The view from the room was awful looking at ducting and a tin roof we tried to move but the cost was 55 euros a day so we stayed put.

Breakfast was satisfactory and the location near the lake good.

Wonderful location, classical building

Breakfast buffet looked impressive on first sight but quality of food was poor. Tiny bathroom in premium room. Staff were pleasant but hotel felt it was run by an accountant.

Breakfast was excellent. Location is great, right at the beach. Staff is friendly, always available.

The dinner restaurant wasn't a match in quality for the breakfast. The water pressure in the shower was comically poor. I could barely get myself wet, I almost didn't fit in the shower at all.

This hotel is geared to service bus tours - many at a time. As individual travellers we felt uncomfortable and not very welcome. We paid ( a lot ) only for a small room- but even a small room in a 4 star hotel should have 4 star service. This fell far short
